I give this an 8 just because it isn't loaded down with features. Turn it on, buy a pedal and go. What more do you need?

AMAZING! This thing will just sing. It is clean clean clean. I read, just before I bought it, that this amp takes pedals like few others. I completely agree. I have a single knob, vintage style fuzz pedal that absolutely sings with this thing. I use mainly telecasters. I play a wide range from twangy rock to noisey stuff. Just let it rip. Yeah, it's small, so what. It is loud enough.
BTW, I own a Tweed (1960) Tremolux that is 100% original. It has an amazing sound and a tremolo to die for. For what it's worth, for me, the Gibson has the sound that is "tremolo" to me. It screams old twang. I have a friend with a Gibson Falcon and he swears his has the same sound.

So, I bought this amp on a Friday morning, brought it home to clean out the dirt dobber nest and assorted cobwebs. Saturday evening I rolled the dice and took it to a gig. I left the tremolux at home. Man oh man, it held it's own on 3-4 all night. It isn't a huge bar, but it's a good size place. This thing will crank if you want it to. I will be giving it a good once over soon, but until then, I am not worried.

For $125 bucks, how can you go wrong. This hasn't replaced the Tremolux, but it has become the new go to, safer to take out and not worry about, amp. I love it.

For a small and simple amp this puppy has a nice tremolo. It's very hip to use the old wood block foot pedal. Reverb would be nice, but I think for it's time this amp has some nice features.

Ahhh... so warm and so perfect. Just let it heat up, mic it up with an SM 57 and you've got butter. I especially like it on my Strat neck pick-up.

I've had it for 20 years and it still runs like it's 1961. I did gave to replace the wire to the foot pedal, but otherwise it runs like a top.

It's just too damn cool of an amp, wih the smooth warm sound and rock solid contruction. I'll never part with it. The amp was given to me by a friend years ago who I'm sure would love to have it back. If you can find one, for the few hundred bucks USD it's worth picking up.

The amp has bass and treble controls, could use a midrange but is adequate for the purpose. The only efffect is tremolo with a foot switch. The amp is not a really loud amp but good for small venues or mike it through the PA. It has 5 tubes two channels and a single 12" speaker. The manufacture dates are early 60s for this model.

The amp is excellent for blues and most rock. The tone is warm and has alot of feel in it. This is a highly recommended blues and jazz amp.

Gibson sent me a scan of the schematic for it,just for the asking (same day), no other dealings with them.

Wish it had a few more features, but the tone is awesome! The sound alone gives this old amp a max rating. Would not hesitate to buy another. This is an amp for someone interested in top of the line tone.

This is to amend my earlier review of the Gibsonette Tremelo; the power tubes are ECL-82, not EL-84. Also, most of the noise went away when I bypassed my effects and plugged straight in.

Not much to share here...1 channel, bass and treble controls, loudness, depth and speed controls for the tremelo. It has 2 6EU7 preamp tubes, 2 EL84's and one other odd small valve (can't remember the name). It has a single 12" speaker with square magnet. There are 2 inputs, a "monitor out" and a "reverb speaker" (output I guess. This amp is from late 50's or perhaps early 60's vintage, can't expect much but tone. The 5 is simply because it doesn't have a lot of options, but hell, what do you expect.

This amp provides nice fat, vintage, almost glassy kinds of sounds. The amp will overdrive to an extent, but only with my Super distortion humbucker, not my strat's single coils. The speaker doesn't seem to like being driven very hard with drop D tuning, but I suppose that wasn't an issue way back when. I mainly use this amp to play blues and surf when I get tired of the hardcore/hardrock/metal my band usually plays. I really wish it had reverb, and I wish I could get the tremelo to work, but hell, it does it's job. I should really put some new tubes in it and get the tremelo fixed, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so that might be tough.

I've never played an actual gig with this amp, mainly because it's not loud enough to be heard, but it's actually surprisingly tough for it's age. Besides the fact that the tremelo has never worked since I've had it, it has never failed.

One afternoon in the summer I had a fresh paycheck in my pocket and a longing for some vintage tube sounds, so I went to my favorite (largest) music store and tried out every cheap vintage amp they had. This thing beat them all out, mainly in price and size (the bassman and 2x15 were tempting but my trunk's only so large), but the old discoverer did win out for me.
