Just what you would expect, two channels and a mix channel and independent controls for reverb and trem. Want something more complex??? I don't!

This is all-tube with ss rectifier. My old silvertone amps have tube rectifiers and they do sound a little more unique. But this thing still sounds great. As good as a much more expensive fender, or vox, tube amp. I really got a great deal on this 2x12 30watt amp for 400 measly bucks, I'm sure it's worth at least a grand.

I got an awesome deal on this amp, it's assembled in the USA but a lot of the parts are made in china, its hand wired and it sounds pretty damn good. It does use a SS rectifier and to some this is not an issue. I have read in forums about people paying 1000+ for this. I wouldn't pay that much but anything around 600 or under is more than reasonable for this amp, which is also, quite rare. Discontinued and people can't find them. Also, it can get damn loud. I needed an amp for gigs, as my silvertones are too touchy to be dragging around. This did the job. Buy one if you find it for a good price, I think retail for these was like 1200 or so.

All Tube Class A Point to point hand wired.
30 (LOUD)Watts Pentode/ 15 watts Triode
(2) 6L6's (5) 12AX7's.
3 channels consist of Clean Overdrive and Mix,
Tube driven reverb and Tremolo, with footswitch.
double Emminence speakers to differentiate it from the GA-40.
1 point off for not having a drive volume pot, and no a effects loop. Although this amp handle pedals in front extremly well, in the great Gibson tradition.

Waow waow waow. I play mostly blues, and it makes it. I was looking for a new amp to compleme nt my palette (fender Junior, AC15, peavey Classic 115 and a small Behringer). I tried a Mesa, an orange, and a marshall micro stack. There is no second: the Gibson is smooth and juicy and warm and silky and roaring and purring. You'll have to crank it up to get a fair amount of distortion, which might imply the use of a hot plate to avoid a crisis with the neighborhood.
This amp is a perfect addition to a PRS hollowbody or a 335.

this is a great sounding amp for jazz and blues. If you're more into metal, it will handle pedals upstream pretty well and deliver a huge sound, but I am not sure it fits its primarely destination.
I would replace it immediately if I lose it.
It's a great value for the money too, considering the competirtion, and it's made in USA!
