Excellent. Tone of it's own with the tube complement.
I bought it broke off of ebay. Some goofball used foil to replace a blown fuze. The smoked the PT and the rectifier socket was metled, and assorted caps and resistors with it.
Put in a Mercury Magnetics vintage/matching PT, replaced the blown components, and ceramic socket.
Dead quiet when on. Thank goodness it has the pilot light. I have other small amps that I have worked on and found I had left them on for days (dead quiet also but no power indicator light).
Put in a Weber Alnico 10a125, upped the volume output and really brought out the best in this amp. Love the sound of this amp. Very warm and full sounding.
Love pedals, but has a great sound with just going in straight. The 6aq5's sound very different from the 6bq5 (el84). Know they say that they are similar to 6v6's but think they are little more balanced (not as dark sounding).

If you like small amps, this is a very good amp. Very different sounding from the single ended GA-5's and Kal's. One of my favorites and surprizingly (current config) it will keep up with a (medium to light) hitting drummer.
