My Country and Western is a 1958 model in mint condition. The GA-70 circuit is the circuit that Vox "borrowed" for the top boost (treble/bass) for the famous AC-30. Not surprisingly this Gibson is very Voxy sounding. Big chimey cleans and a sweet distortion when cranked. Very simple two channel amp. Two Volumes, with a Treble, Bass, and Fidelity control, which is actually a Presence control. The amp puts out 25watts clean and up to 30watts cranked. A great versatile amp for Blues, Rock , Country or Jazz.

I use a 60 les paul, 58'les paul TV special, 60' es-345 and a Relic Telecaster, and they all sound great thru this amp. The Ga-70 doesn't have TONS of gain so if your using a single coil Fender, you might want to boost the front end a bit with a pedal of some sort.

The amp seems very reliable considering it's pretty much dead stock from 1958 and still going strong!! With any older tube amps, I always bring a spare with me on a gig.The filter caps are still original on this puppy, so I know it's going to be just a matter of time before they need to be changed out....

Amp made in 1958, so no customer support....

Been playing over thirty years....I'm pretty much a vintage amp/guitar gearaholic....Paid good money for this amp basically because of it's rarity, condition, and historical circuit..(used by Vox for the AC-30 top boost).
Highly recommended...
