I don't think it's possible to determine the year made, but it was either 1965 or 1966. A total of 2,322 were made. I play some rock, country, folk and it's versatile for all of these. I paid $50 for it at a police auction, and it was well spent!

I've got 19 guitars; a Gibson Flying V, a Gibson Les Paul Studio, a Squier Jagmaster, a Washburn Idol DL-64; a Washburn X-10, an Epiphone Dot Studio, a Martin Stinger, an Indiana St. Paul, etc., and it suits them well. Since I live in a condo apartment, I can't turn it up very loud, or the plaster will crack...and the neighbors will be at the door with pitchforks and torches!

I didn't use it for a number of years, but when my current husband expressed an interest in learning to play, we dug it out, and although it put out little sound, the tubes still faintly lit. Took it in to a local shop for repairs, and though it took a while to get the proper parts, when I got it back, $140 later, I was VERY pleased. I've had no problems with it.

Obviously, any warranty would be long over with. My local place took a long time to get the right parts to fix it, but a very good job was performed!

I bought this amp in the early '80s. Even with the cost of getting it fixed, it's a steal. I really like it and yes, I'd want to replace it if it were to disappear, but considering the small number made, it would be difficult, at best. I got it at a police auction, and knew NOTHING about amps, but I DID know the Gibson name, and that was it. I wasn't leaving that auction without it, and I didn't!

All i know is this was made in the 70's. I play a mixture of punk, jazz, and rock (not at the same time) and it's pretty good for all of it. It has a footswitch to activate the reverb and tremolo. I don't use either one. meh. It's all tube, and only 35w, but it's loud enough to practice on. i like it.

I play though an epiphone g-130 with seymour duncan pickups (a screamin' demon, and an invader) and it sounds more rich than my marshall avt-150 half stack. it's not noisy at all. it doesn't distort at all, even when the volume is at 10.

The only problem i had with it, was when i just didn't get tubes for it, and one broke. other than that, it works pretty well.

warranty... hah. if there was one it's long gone now. it was easy enough to find new tubes for it.

I've been playing guitar for roughly three years. I own my epi. and a custom squier that i designed. i have a marshall avt-150 half stack. i use a danelectro black coffee distortion, and crybaby wah.
and yes, if this was stolen... i would aquire another one.

I use a gibson sg, a 335, and my favorite a kramer pacer thats been souped up split coils.I play blues , rock, folk rock. With new caps
and tubes these amps are quiet and have a great tube sound. At 8 or 9 on the volume the amps distort but not massive crunch. More like a fender delux

I work on my own amps and these haven't broken down but I also
maintain them better than average. any tube amp needs maintanance!
these amps are more of a studio amp than a gig amp.

I have 3 of these amps with a lifetime supply of 7591 tubes. I've own 9 amps now and have owned many more. For my needs in a bsement studio these amps rule. change speaker and you have a new amp.7591 tubes are
hard to find and expensive but there are many workarounds including
soviet tubes.

This amp is versatile enough for my purposes. All tubes, with two jacks and three controls on the left (volume, treble, bass), followed by another two jacks, volume, treble, bass, reverb, tremlo intensity and speed. One 12-inch speaker. Simple footswitch for reverb and tremolo. Polarity and standby knob on front, with indicator lights for standby.

At home, it is about as loud as I want it when I turn it up to 3. At 10, distortion is brutal, which makes it great for power riffing ala Keith Richards, but there's a lot of background noise. I like to keep it around 6 and use the volume control on my Telecaster. Almost too much reverb past 5 or 6. This is a great amp to mike for performance. Very warm sound with lots of power. Great rhythm guitar.

Yes, especially since I put some new tubes in. Tremolo now works great. Reverb is booming.

Since this amp is 30 or so years old, it's not a big deal. Had a local tech fix the footswitch when it broke. Lots of schematic information available on the web for when I wanted to retube it (somebody had put a 12AU7 in where a 12AX7 belonged.) We have a local electronics store here with a lot of old tubes in stock.

I love this amp. It is primitive and kinda ugly, but it has a lot of soul, something that newer amps don't have.
