This amp is very bare bones which I happen to like. Not alot of features. Simplicity is a good thing sometimes. This amp did come as a 112 combo with a 210 extension cabinet. The combo sported a celestion g12h and the closed back cabinet held an eminence ragin cajun as well as a copperhead 16 ohms wired to 8 ohms. The cabinet is absolutley fabulous sounding and worked very well.Even with just a few features.the amp did work very well.

Sound quality is excellent. I would however would like to have a little more direct control over the mids.Works well with single coils or humbuckers. The distortion was tasty on this amp although I found the bottom end a little muddy for my likes.Amp is great in a small room. would be excellent for studio work. However, with a 5 piece band,it could not keep up in a live gig situation.

The amp is very well built and would probably hold up well over the long run.

First class customer support.George Coats of Atlanta Discount Music was an absolute joy to deal with.Courtesy and class were the order of the day.Richie Goodsell who built the amp is a first class cat.You can contact either of these guys and be treated like gold.I wish more music stores and manufacturers cared about us nobodies like these guys do. I would highly recommend doing business with either.

I have been playing guitar for 40 years. I did my first gig at age 11 and I own several vintage Fenders as well as a Marshall or two.The Goodsell Super 17 is the perfect amp for studio or clubs where volume is an issue.Again, the only thing I could not handle was the fact that I needed something that would push a bit more.A control for the mids would be helpful. This amp works superbly with an overdrive pedal like the ts9,808 and of course the Landgraff dynamic overdrive.
