This amp was hand-built built in 2007. Its a single channel all-tube amp. Volume, tone controls, and reverb. Rated around 30W, it gets loud enough to rattle the windows. After a couple weeks of breaking in the speaker, the sound really warmed up significantly. I spec'd 6L6 tubes, but you can spec 6V6s... Several interesting features include an *EASILY* adjustable bias, an output port for a bias monitor (yes, sold separately, or if you know what you're doing, you can check it yourself), and a toggle switch for selecting fixed or cathode bias. Of the features I wish it had, a buffered effects loop and line-out for connecting to PC or other equipment would be killer features. Otherwise, this is a great amp - a very clean sound, and has that wonderful warm quality that only a tube can give. It has everything you need, and then some.

The amp itself is almost completely transparent, as a top-notch amp should be. True, the tubes help keep the sound nice and warm and creamy, but plug in a Parker, Les Paul, Strat, or Tele, and you will be able to hear the guitar plain and simple. No noise what so ever, even with florescent balasts near by. Mess with the tone control and reverb to tweak your sound a bit, and you get what you expect. Mess with the fixed/cathod bias switch and get some interesting effects (crunch vs. treble punch). Turn the volume up, and expect to get evicted from your apartment.

Hand built, and built like a tank. I expect my grandchildren to be playing it!

I love this amp almost as much as life itself - I usually play an Epi Les Paul thru it, and it has always produced the exact sound that I've always wanted. If it were stolen, I would probably have to sell my car to buy a new one (yes, they're not cheap), but I would make every effort to an exact duplicate, or perhaps one of the other amps they have.
