this is an neat old solid state amp from 1974. It has 2-12inch speakers, a nifty tremelo effect and a spring reverb (which broke on mine) this guy is loud as hell. 2 channels a footswitch for reverb (which doesnt work) and tremelo.this amp is perfect for the indie/electrofolk/emo rock crap that i play.

Sound Quality : 10
I am playing a mid 90's stratocaster thru it. and it has an amazing clean tone the tremelo effect really sounds good. I wish i could find a replacement reverb pan. the first channel has no effects and just bass, treble, treble boost, and volume with two inputs (you have to turn this channel all the way down when not in use or you get more buzzing) the second channel has bass, mid, treb, treble boost, volume, tremelo speed, tremelo intensity, and reverb. it sounds great clean i just wish it had onboard distortion. it really has a super clean tone.it does buzz a bit when the guitar is not being played. and the trem makes a noise but when it matters you can't hear those things.

Reliability : 6
I definetly would gig with this amp. it is a tank and with the exception of the reveb spring breaking it has been real reliable.

Customer Support : 1
i tried to get info on this amp from gretsch the did not return my letter. they should get an email adress or something.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I love this amp it is really cool sounding and in a world of fender midsized amps thisone really stands out. I've been playing for five years and this is the first larger amp that i've owned. it has a killer tone a few livable quirks but overall a very neat find. if someone stole this amp (good luck it weighs a ton.) i would try to find another with working reverb. but all and all a cool amp.
