This is a copy of a '70ies Fender Twin Reverb Silverface with mastervolume, but without the Pull-Boost function of the original. It is pretty much an exact clone of the original, so it shares that features: 2 channels, reverb, vibrato (tremolo actually), 2x12 inch speakers, 4x6L6 poweramp, tilt-back legs.

The only difference is the interior. Instead of an eyeled board it uses one PCB board for the caps and resistors. But this is a very sturdy and PCB board with oversized electrical connections/circuits. Not comparable with the thin and vulnerable modern PCB's! Since all the other components are wired to the PCB and no pots are directly soldered on to it, I would say it is the next best thing; almost point-to-point wired! Also some (but very few) resistor-values differ from the original (I have a schematic!)
My amp is heavily modded and restored when I bought it: all the pots and caps are replaced. Orange Drops replace the original caps. Also the reverb circuit and its own transformer is replaced. Also some Blackfacing has been done (don't know exactly how and what). It does not have the original Guyatone speakers anymore, but two replacement Fender speakers (old ones, unmarked, type unknown. Utahs maybe?). Therefore keep in mind while reading this review that the amp is no longer original.

Sound Quality : 8
I use it with an ES-175 copy guitar for jazz and acid-jazz like stuff. It suits my needs for that very well. Compared to a real 70ies Twin, the sound is mellower, not as loud and with less bite/sharpness. To my ears it sounds much more Blackface and vintage.
It does makes some noises (hum and hiss), maybe because some worn-down NOS-pre amp tubes were used?
The amp being not as loud as a real Twin might also be due to the speakers. I test-ran it through the more efficient modern Eminence speaker of my Blues Deluxe amp and that sounded way louder, even wile that speaker is 8 Ohms and the amp can run on 4 Ohms, so the current speakers might be replaced at some point.
But all in all it gives a good, typical Fender-like sound, with real vintage vibe and a lot of power. It stays very clean, even with all the volumes way up.

Reliability : 8
To me it seems very reliable considering the almost-point-to-point construction and the all new caps and pots. Only the tube retainer clips seem a little cheap.

Customer Support : 9
Through the still existing Guyatone company I was able to obtain an original schematic. They sent it by email without charging me anything for that. Very friendly and good customer support, thumbs up!

Overall Rating : 8
I have been playing for over 20 years. Bought this amp as a reliable and powerfull amp for gigging with my acidjazz 4tet. In terms of power it dissappoints a little, for a 4x6L6 amo it seems to lack power a bit. Might be due to innefficient speakers though. It seems very reliable and produces a very good sound. I am very satisfied with it as it is. I'll take it to a good tech and if he or she can make it more quiet and make it sound like a 4x6L6 power-amp, I'll rate it a 10!
