I can almost guarantee that these were sold at truck stops. Sounds good for what it is, and if you don't have unrealistic goals in life, this TOY is pretty cool.

I bought one about 2 years ago....mine sucks. It rattles and if you turn it up all of the way it makes a loud static sound. There are no features. I use mine to practice, and it's alright just for that.

ive seen the other reviews for this amp, are these people serious?! i mean look at it! its meant for begginers, or for late night bedroom jamming. if you actually thought this was going to be a great tone shaping tool that would blow the stage away then you are a moron. Dont take this amp so seriously, the company wasnt aiming to compete with fender or marshall, do you see them selling in the jc pennys catalog??? NO! im giving this a 10 because you get what you were paying for

I don't know the year it was made, as I bought it used. It has 1-5" speaker. It has a volume and a tone knob, and both are very useful. The tone knob allows you to really shape your sound as to your liking. I don't know if this is tube or solid state. see below.

I use this amp with my emg h 300, and I play a lot of newer hard rock, funk and jazz. It suits my music styles great because I can get such a wide range of tones out of this amp. I think it's a solid state amp, but Harmony must use some type of tube simulation because, when I turn the volume up, it really starts to overdrive the amp and you get some really warm sounds. It really is music to my ears. I can turn the volume down and that gives me great fender-like clean tones. When playing metal, I set the tone and volume controls to full blast, but when you do this you'd better be wearing ear plugs. The distortion is great, but It could use a tad more gain for some of the harder stuff that I play. I don't know why other people have rated this amp so low, probably because they have no experience in what really good tone is. All they must care about is extremely-heavy metal! I mean I only paid 30 bucks for it, so it's not going to sound like a mesa triple rectifier.

I've had this amp for 5 years and gig out with it without a back up. I mic the amp, because 5 watts is hardly enough volume to play without mic'ing this amp, and it sounds much better when you mic this amp. I've played out on average 2 times a month for the past three years and haven't had one problem yet. very reliable amp

I've been playing about 7 years and I own a fender mustang and a esp h 300 with emg 81 humbucker in the neck position and a emg hz pick up at the bridge. I like the amp because it's so easy to haul to gigs because of it's weight. I wish it wasn't made out of plastic. I didn't really compare it with anything else when I bought it because at the time that's all I could afford. If you don't have a lot of coin, I'd definitely look into this amp, it packs a lot of bang for the buck. If this thing was lost or stolen, I'd probably get another one, I don't know I've had it for 5 years and my band members have been trying to talk me into buying a peavey bandit or something. Oh, one other thing I wish this thing had an eq, so I could scoop the mids. I think that would help with the gain, and give an even more brutal sound.

I got it new in January 2000 from a catalog that sells everything, that was a mistake, this amp only has a volume and tone but it has two imputs and a headphone jack. I wish it had a better quallity speaker and wasn't in a plastic box. It does ok I guess, It hasn't woke up the neighbors.

I play a Harmony guitar that has two single pickups with a tone and volume knob. If I turn it all the way up I can get some distortion, but not enough.

Oh God! It is TERRIBLE! If you crank it up to a decent volume, it makes a horrible buzzing sound. Overall, the sound it much too clean unless you turn the volume up all the way. Right now I am using the headphones jack to hook it up to my stereo, which makes it sound much better.

It weighs about 3 pounds max and it is built out of cheap plastic. I would never depend on it. It hasn't broken down, but I don't think it could get any worse than it is now.

Avoid this amp! It is crap. If it was stolen or lost, I would celebrate! I would never have bought it in the first place if I had known anything about amplifiers, but I was a complete beginner. Don't say I didn't warn you! I have ordered a better amp (Crate GX65) and I will comment on it after I have had a chance to play with it for a few weeks.
