The cabinet and speakers were completed in spring 2002. The speakers are rated at 100 watts, 16ohms, custom made, British cone. The cabinet is built of highest quality material. I won't be redundent of previous review, all I can add is that I agree 100% with previous review. You couldn't ask for a better speaker cabinet...top notch product. The cabinet and speakers were designed by George Scholz who was long time Harry Joyce co-pilot, George put a lot of time and energy in research and those speakers were born of blood, sweat, and tears. Without any doubt if you get a chance to hear Harry Joyce speakers you'll understand that they are the best speakers around.

I personally use this speaker cabinet, with my Harry Joyce custom 50 watt amp. You can read my review on this amp in the approperiate section. The amp was designed by George Scholz and built by Harry Joyce. With this amp the sound is above any imagination, you must hear it to appreciate it. I play mostly strat, with few effects (delay and fuzz). The sound of this cabinet gives you full range of frequencies, bigger than anything you've heard before. Very musical, with a lot of power!!! Celestions, Fanes, and others similar cannot match the sound you get from this cabinet. This cabinet is the real deal...I am lucky to be an owner of this outstanding product. George Scholz did years of detailed research into creating such a superb speaker cabinet.

Reliability : 10
Cabinet is built of superior quality material, very sturdy and strong
like a tank. The speakers are held by heavy duty clamps, the entire construction is very reliable, with easy maintance, so far, and I don't expect any problems, it's built to take alot of use and abuse!!!

George Scholz and Charles Bertonazzi are very professional, responsible, and customer oriented. Since Harry Joyce passed away, George and Charles will continue to carry on in the Harry Joyce tradition of excellence, and fine workmanship.

Overall Rating : 10
I can honestly say that I am very happy with my Harry Joyce amp, and matching 4x12 cabinet. It is a dream come true to be an owner of rock history, and superb pieces of musical equipment. The product is well worth the price. I cannot be happier.

The cabinet and speakers were completed for me in early December, 2001. The cabinet is made of the highest quality of construction;
extra heavy duty tolex covering, metal handels secured with very
classy looking gold screws (which are more like bolts), the highest
quality wood I've ever encountered on a cabinet--although I'm not quite sure what kind--and a front baffle that is made out of what ap-
pears to be a 5-layer formica material. The speakers are held in place by heavy duty clamps and screws for supreme security, easy
maintainance, and superior sound quality. The front grill appears to be made of the same material and construction as the front baffle, and is coverd in a black nylon with white piping on its edge, and
sports the soon to be (very) well-known white on black Harry Joyce
logo. Another very classy touch is the gold trim used on the cabinet
instead of the less sophisticated white piping and its black interior.

The speakers are rated over 100 watts, 16 ohms, and are constructed
from a black cast frame with the propper brittish cone. A very nice
touch is the dome cover which is graced with the initials HJ silk-
screened in white.

This 4X12 was everything and more than I expected. I got my Pete
Townshend sound only better. The amp I used was a custom made Harry
Joyce 100 watt head. The guitar I used was my SG Special with P-90
pickups. I plugged into the normal input, with the pre-amp volume
up full, the bass at about 8 o'clock and the trebble a little less
than full. The middle and presence were pre-set when the amp was built, and are inside the amp. I was more than pleasantly surprised
with this cabinet! With my guitar volume set at 6 I got a nice clean
full sound with clear highs, full mids and punchy lows. Pinball Wizard was almost symphonic. With the guitar volume at 7, the tone became a little fuller with a bit of dirt. My Generation sounded like I was playing on the Live At Leeds album. I Can't Explain had a thick and rich, but warm and smooth sound while maintaining the clear highs.Turning the guitar volume full up, I CONQUERED THE WORLD!!! The overdrive just sang. Loud, smooth, aggressive, full yet clear; cutting like a chain-saw, but you could hear every not as musically and clearly as it was meant to sound!!! The sustain was nothing to snear at either. Switching to the neck pickup at full volume, it was whiney and punchy and clear--even on chords--where usually one would get mudd. These speakers allowed the true tone of the guitar and amp to come out. Wait til Mr. Townshend gets a hold of one of these cabinets. By the way, this cabinet/speaker set-up is monsterously loud!!! Don't even think of turning up this "black beauty" in your apartment/flat.

Believe it or not, this product is vitually indestructable. Try
cutting the tolex with your best blade and you will find it will re-
quire a bit of effort! The wood construction can take a beating too. After all, it survived UPS ground service!!!

The speakers are cast frame and are heavier than a Celestion or a Fane, but lighter than a JBL or EV. They can be tossed around
with some degree of security. Like the cabinet, the speakers survived UPS ground service too!!! Power wise, these speakers are almostimpossible to blow out or up as the wattage for this enclosure
is over 400 watts!!! Go ahead...try it...I dare ya...

All the Harry Joyce people are extremely helpful and patient. I've
spent hours and hours on end on the phone with George Scholtz,
Charles Bertonazzi, and Harry Joyce himself. Furthermore, I have the outrageously high long distance phone bills to prove it. Any question
or concern I've had, they've answered kindly and honestly. They all
have an incredible (and very dry) sense of humor too !!! A big plus
these days.

I can honestly say that there is nothing about this product that I
dislike! I've been playing for slightly over 19 years now, and I have
seen or tried out a great deal of equipment from manufacturers past
and present and--as anyone in the guitar field who knows me can testi-
fy to--I'm one of the more critical people around, and I can honestly
say that Harry Joyce is unbeatable in every way! I plan on purchasing
another 4X12 ASAP. $1089.00 might seem a bit high but I would gladly
pay $2089.00 for the quality and craftsmanship of this product.
Washall (Marshall) and Booger (Boogie) could never build anything of
this caliber!!!

Speaker wise, I don't call Celestions Intestines or Fanes Rains be-
cause of their superior (NOT) sound and construction quality. This is
what JBL and EV only dreamed of attaining sound wise.
