Model MS345N (Branded as IMS Strato 345n, sn 52/4) Purchased new in 1971 in Germany.

All tube Combo Amp, Dual Channel Ecc83s(x3), EL34(x4) and a ECC81 for reverb.
Dual pp output stages, Single 10" speaker. 45w Easy.

Volume, Bass, Treble Controls and Treble boost switch on both channels. Reverb on Chan II only.

1 guitar jack and 1 5pin-Din input per channel

Power?? I never thought there could BE enough power until I had my '72 Super Lead 100 setup last month... I have to move it outside to get it above 2 now (that's why I need this 345 up and running)

Sound Quality : 8
Sweet little amp (ugly as heck), only intended to use it as a practice amp but played several gigs with it and then pressed it into service as a PA.

Nice little blues amp. Pipe a little to the second channel for a touch of reverb and you get the ka-chunk your looking for. Not much distortion with a guitar but breaks up nicely with a Shure545s and a Blues Harp..

Played everything from a Les Paul Jr. to a LP Deluxe from a vintage Epiphone to a Strat, they all sounded pure.

Reliability : 10
I've dragged this amp all over Germany and the US and it's never failed me. It was in storage (not climate controlled) in Florida for 5 years and lit up just fine ('cept for a little hum)

Warranty was 1 year, never needed it. Considering it's 2005 I'm guessing I'm not getting any support now.

I am looking for schematics for this little guy since it's due for a refurb and I want to convert it to 120vac. I need it again for a practice amp. I wonder if I can get another 30 years out of it??

Hi,
I had the pleasure of meeting the guy who built those amps. Actually it's a nice little story. Back in 1994 a friend of mine was recording in a Munich/Germany backyard studio. The owner of the studio was a country musician (I'd guess from the U.S. but I don't really recall) who had built all the Heratons for nearly 20 years by hand. He was about 70 years old back then and he only had a few left. Someone must have bought out all of them since they were quite common in Munichs-Secondhand stores for a while but are all gone by now.

Sound Quality : 10
Therefore these amps were originally intended to be the ultimate countryamp. If you want to hear what it sounds like (in a hardcore environment) you can check my samples on http://www.blissx.co.uk/vip.html
I use it on all those recordings along with a rat-distortion and a Chevy Telecaster.

Reliability : 9
In 1996 I bought one of the last few the cowboy had in stock and it served me well all the years. I payed a decent 600DM (300?). I cleaned the tubes once since then and the amp never failed me although I used it on stage quite often.

Customer Support : 1
Since the guy is out of business for years there is no support what soever. But whoever knows a little about tubeamps can repair this beast since it's really quite simple and straightforward design.

Looks it was made in the 1994,great clean sound for blues and jazz music,2 channels no switch, very good reverb no hedphone-jack i miss the switchin'channel i use it in my music room it is powerfool enough
and i'd really like to know moore about it but cannot find a note in all net

Sound Quality : 8
I use it with an and made guitar with Mosrite pickups and it match perfectly with the Blues i play.It can make a brilliant sound and also a medium-soft sound and it is difficult make it distorted even in high volumes;the two channels are the same to me.

Reliability : 8
I will use for shore in a gig even without a backup.I bought it last night and i played all the afternoon to check it,no problem it looks a strong amp.

I've been playng since 1973 And i have a L5 (lab series),an Elka valves Vintage 20 watts and i would buy it again at that price for shore.I love the clean sound it has and the power whitout distortion it can support.I compared to the L5,and it defend itself strongly i should say it is superior some how,I did not choose it propely,it happened to find an announce on a paper and curiosity lead me to it and after 20 minutes playng i bought it.I wish it had a switchin channel but i'll make myself, if anybody knows something more about this amp please let me know.
