This is a HiWatt Bulldog 10, it was made around 1999. i paid $99 for the thing, and it's not too bad. It has high, low, overdrive, and volume controls, it's a basic practice amp.

Sound Quality : 8
I play a Yamaha sonthingorother on it, it's an SSH so it sounds ok. the amp it's self sounds fine and the distortion's pretty good, it's louder than any 6" amp i ever heard. I'd say it's a sound for rock, not really metal. it needs efects to sound like anything special.

Reliability : 9
I've had it for mabey a year and a half, and it's worked fine the whole way, but it's not exactly top of the line material.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to do anything like that.

Overall Rating : 8
It's not bad, good for those of us who are still learning

1X6 10watt solid state combo. volume-treble(high)bass-(low) clean/overdrive modes (front panel switch), one input, headphone jack.
1999 introduction. Fine for what it is. Master Vol. would increase versitility

Sound Quality : 8
This is the smallest of the new Hiwatt solid state combos being distributed by Fernandes/Music Ground. I have been using it with a Gibson All American SG and a Fender Mexi Tele. My hope was to get a few basic Who tones out of it, and within its limitations it suceededs. The clean channel is quite punchy and bright and stays clean up to 7-8, with the tone controlls being quite active. The O/D channel adds a bit of growl and darkens the sound slightly, however using the o/d with the sg is more than the speaker can take. not to noisy unless cranked. Not a metal moster (try a Masrhall MG10 for that) but a reasonalble representaion of the HIwatt sound in a small practice/recording package.

Reliability : 6
Not real well made. I wouldn't bang this one arount too much. Partical board cab is a bit thin and the chassis is kinda flimsy. But should be OK with a little care.

Customer Support : 4
Fernandea has a nice web site, The amp has the most useless manual I've ever seen. never called them.

Overall Rating : 7
OK little amp, not up to the standards of my Vox Pathfinder or Marshall MG10 but captures the Hiwatt sound for a decent price. has a cool vibe and is one of the better amps at its price point. a better manual would be nice as would a little better construction. I'd get it again, simply because it sounds unique.
