I would say my Hiwatt custom mid 70s or late 70s.These are the loudest amp you will ever play out of .With tons of trebble. It is a single channel amp point to point hand wired.I don't care to much about the dual channel amps or any of that crap. I just run a big muff through it.It gives you the straight up stoner rock/doom/or just plain rock'n roll sound. It has four speaker cab outputs to hook up to it another werds you can run four 4x12 cabs off of it.I tried to run it just through a ampeg 350 watt cab with gt75 celestion speakers in it. You could only get the master volume turned up a litte bit than half way and i tougth the speakers were going to blow out of the cab. It was so loud you could not even here the drummer playing.I took it to a amp tech to get it cleaned and he said it was the loudest amp he ever heard.

Sound Quality : 10
I use a gibson sg humbuckers. It suits my music style great.I play more long the lines of black sabbath/sleep/eyehategod/sait vitus.
actually it is really clean when you turn it up before i throw a pedal down in front of it.

Reliability : No Opinion
Only once and that was because it had the orignal tubes in it from the 70s.Other than that never have a problem with it after that and i have owned it for 10 years now.

Customer Support : 9
This is a vintage amp the orignal customer closed down a long time ago.but they do make the new hiwatts. But the only thing i need for customer report is to just take it down to my local guitar store if i have any problems.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I have been playing for 11 years now.If it was stolen i would. That person that sole it would be hospitalized if i ever found out who did it.

This amp is probably from the late 70's or early 80's I bought it in the mid 80's its a single channel 200 watt valve slave amp. Powered by four kt88 output valves and a couple of ecc83's for the front end, all the transformers are made by partridge. All the output connecters are quarter inch jack plugs, its fitted with the old pin type voltage and impedance selectors and has the now obsolete bakelite three pin mains plug.

Sound Quality : 8
All the wiring is the old point to point, no p.c.b's here it sounds clean and warm. I have only heard it at half power as I dont have any big cabinets to put it through, sounded great driven by my son's boogie quad.

Reliability : 10
I had to replace two of the kt88's about 12 years ago, but since then nothing not even a fuse. It has been rained on snowed on frozen and generaly abused in a garage for the past 10 years. A few months ago I took pity on it and brought it in,to dry out for a few weeks next to a central heating system and hey presto works perfect

The dealers seem helpfull enough but the manufacturer.Total nightmare, do yourself a favour dont waste money on the phone call.

Overall Rating : 8
My playing years are at an end and I leave all that to my kids now, I now buy and collect stuff for them. I have played all the old favourates plus a load of gear you've probably never heard of.This amp is a real trooper it has never been looked after, its been ignored for years at a time and it keeps on doing the job for which it was built year after year. I have tried some of the newer hiwatt stuff, it sounds ok but I cant imagine thier reliability is any better than this.
