50 watt, 2x12 combo patterned after classic Fender and Marshall designs but with many more refinements. Comparable to an early sixties Marshall JTM45.

This amp is suited for blues, rock, country, and jazz. It is not capable of extreme overdrive...nor was it designed that way...so metal/industrial style players should look elsewhere. Big, fat clean and overdriven tones are where this amp really shines. Picture a well tuned vintage Marshall with no noise and no harshness at all.

This amp is totally handwired and is built like a tank. I expect it to outlive me!!!

Mike Holland is an extremely patient and helpful guy. I've had many phone conversations with Mike and he has always taken the time to answer any questions that I've had with no attitude whatsoever. I doubt you could call Jim Marshall if you have a question about your amp. Holland amps have a lifetime warranty although I'd doubt you'll ever use it.

I've been playing for 20 years...I just realized that right now...damn I feel old!!! Anyway, I've owned and played through just about everything and this amp is definitely one of the best for what it is designed for. Mike Holland will also fine tune your amp for your personal taste/style (as he did with mine) and can make you just about anything you're interested in. For those of us who know what we want but can't find it through the large, mass production type amp companies, Holland is a Godsend.

Vintage style amp, not designed to be versatile, but it does have a lot of tones. At low volumes, rich and full, and at higher volumes fat and overdriven. It has two channels, one bright and one normal with two inputs (high and low sensitivity) for each. Other controls are bass, middle, treble and presence. No reverb, but you really don't miss it.
This model has 2-12" heavy duty speakers that look like special design Emminence and sound like Celestion G25M's. Cabinet is coverend in brwn tolex and has a tan grille cloth. The amp is amazingly loud for 50 watts, more than enough for large club work and studios.

This amp has it all when it comes to tone! Huge bottom end, and highly effective middle and treble controls. Fantastic on-the-edge crunch sounds, and gobs and gobs of vintage tone. It also has great tone, more tone, and did I mention.....TONE. The holy grail of vintage tone. Hate to belabor the point, but I'm not used to hearing this much tone in a new amp. Also extremely quiet - no background hiss at all.

Looks like a simple but meticulously handwired circuit and would be easy to service.

I e-mailed Holland Amplifiers to ask them a question about the amp, and Mike Holland actually called ME. I wasn't prepared for that kind of service!! He was very helpful and spent phone time on his own dime, even though I had bought the amp used and he had nothing to gain from helping me out.

Have played a lot of amps, including a lot of boutique amps, and this one quickly become my favorite. I love the sound of 2-12's, and the combination of this chassis and speaker combination is superb. If I was ordering it new, I would have gotten reverb, but like I said, the amp sounds sooooo good without it. Hard to describe.....kind of like what I would expect a great tweed Twin to sound like!! Looking for the home of tone?? Look under H-O-L-L-A-N-D in the dictionary.
