5 chicken heads---50 watts of tweed bassman style juice---- tubes - 5751-7025-6201-(2)GE6L6GC-GZ34----it came with 12ax7's but i cool it down a little bit for my Gibson V. 3x10 alnicos and a speaker jack for another 10. -- with an agressive drummer & two other guitars playing Super Reverbs, this amp still cuts thru the mix 'smartly' on 5 with the normal channel ----put the volume to 12 and remember why you started riffin' in the first place!!! I rate 'features' 5 -for the 5 chicken heads.

A/B'd this amp with a perfect original '59 tweed bassman at mid-volume & they both sounded superb; like sisters singing. I played a '56 tweed bandmaster for sixteen years, but the Holland has way more headroom & SWEETER TONE. I've love 'vintage' souunnds........thats all.

I replaced the tubes to see if N.O.S. would sound better. They did. My effects started bugging me so I eliminated all but this 'Ultra-Drive' built by Sweetsound, its like the Hot Sauce for a spicey tone taco.

Mike Holland makes the very best bassman amp these days. I liked mine so much I bought another Gibb Droll model with 1x15. ...and a 6550 tubed 100w head on the way as soon as I can pay. When you see the inside of one of these amps you can see why the U.S.A. can still build the best quality in the hole whirl.
