50 watt version. One channel, no fx loop. When set up right; insanely loud for a combo. Separate mix and dwell for a first-class spring reverb.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
Best there is. Apart from obvious "limitations" due to straight-a-head one-channel design (which is often preferred) there ain't much to do better in amp construction. Quite simply a top class product. Get one if you can.

Reliability : 10
This particular one has been rebuilt to handle 220v European. Any decent amp tech can provide repair and service for this model. All hand-wired. point-to-point. Will last forever (or till Doomsday) if taken proper care of. Cabinet is solid wood pine joint.

Customer Support : 10
Holland Amps have been out of business for some time. Hopefully they get back with more killer amps. I'll see no reason to sell mine as it does not get any "better" than it is. A power attenuator and/or fx loop can easily be added later if needed.

Overall Rating : 10
With amps like these all you need is a cable (George L or similar) and a decent guitar. Nothing more. Dynamics are rich and responsive to guitars volume control. Reverb is lush and nice. Even a full big band horn section won't drown this amp at half speed. Have been playing most of my life in all styles and settings. In short; a great amp.

Late 90's production. 50 watts with the 6L6 tubes. From what I have gathered from talking with Mike this was one of only a handful of 50 watt models produced.

Sound Quality : 9
This is a jazz amp, or so I thought. I have a Heritage 140CM, and a custom humbucker tele, and I normally play them through this amp. It is the warmest amp I have ever used. I put in a Eminence Tonker 12, and it fattens up the sound like I never thought possible. I can put it on 9 and its just as clear as if its on 2. I recently picked up a strat, and plugged it in. It gives me the warmest strat sound I have evr gotten out out of any of my amps. if I had to sell off all my amps one by one, this would be the last to go.

Reliability : 9
Its a hand wired point to point amp. ANy good tech can fix it. Keep spare tubes on hand and your all set.

I was able to talk to Mike recently and he said he may be gettign back in the business. I hope he is, as I need a nice 3 watt liil jimi

Single channel Combo Amp. Has 1 x 12" Eminence Legend 122 Alnico Speaker. 35 watts with 2 - 6L6 Power tubes. and 4 12ax7 preamp tubes. Controls are Vol, EQ Shift, Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence, Dwell and Mix for Reverb. Has ext speaker jack in the Back. Accutronics 3 spring Reverb Tank. Extra long 3 Prong Power cable. This amp has no effects loop and does not need one. Effects loops are tone robbers anyway. This amp is all about Pure Classic Vacuum Tube Tone. And achieves this in the Perfect way.

Sound Quality : 10
This may be one of the Best Combo Guitar Amps money can Buy. I Own over 30 Tube Guitar Amps and the Holland Lil Jimi Is the Top of the Pick. I Have Many Classic Vox, Fender Blackface, HiWatt, Marshall and Boutique Amps.
The Holland Lil-Jimi has a Unique Voice all its own. It has a Very Pure Hi-Fi kind of sound. The Low End that this amp produces is the best That I have ever heard from a Guitar Amp. The single 12" Eminence Legend 122 is the Perfect Speaker for this Amplifier. The Cabinet is Very well made with Dovetail Joints and Aged Pine wood. The Baffle is Baltic Birch and Tolex is Perfectly Applied. The bottom of the Cabinet has Large rubber Grommets that allow the Amp to be Structurally Issolated to the floor. The Amp has Internal Bracing and I firmly believe the cabinet is Far supperior to any Other Combo Amp I have ever seen. (I have seen many)
This Amp is equally at home with Strats Tele's and Les Pauls. There are very Few Amps that can claim this. The Shift control changes the Equaliztion points on the Amp. For Example Strats have a More treble responce that Guitars with Humbuckers. The Shift knob will move all the EQ points to a Lower or Higher Spectrum. I can Plug in a Les Paul shift the EQ points higher with the Shift and never have to touch the Individule EQ controls at all. I can Change back to a Strat and turn the Shift knob back down. It Is extremely Easy to use and Sounds Incredible. Why Other Guitar Amplifiers dont Have this feature is a perplexing mystery.
I have Put this Amp up against Boutique Guitar Amps costing 4 times as much, and I am continually amazed at what I am Hearing.
For Example We Compared this Amp to a Bogner Shiva Combo. The Shiva is a Decent Guitar Amp that is a Bit Over Hyped in My opinion. The Features and Watts were about the same with the Shiva being a bit louder over all. The Tone was in no way Comparable. The Shiva was Harsh and Unfocused sounding. The Holland was Refined and Lush sounding. The reverb was more dimensionable, and the Natural Overdrive of the 6L6 tubes was almost Orgasmic.
We noticed the Same results with a Carr Slant V-6 combo.
The Carr had a Single 15" speaker and reverb. The Carr has a Good and decent Overdriven Distortion Sound that The Holland does not get into. But the Usable Cleans tones were a Joke. The Carr was very stiff sounding and could not even come close to the 3 dimensiona Air that the Lil-Jimi can get. The Carr's Clean Headroom was almost Non Existent. The Carr was a one trick pony. The Holland on the other Hand has an extremely Warm and Inviting sound to it. You can just Plug in a Strat and Get That Vibrant and Inviting "Wind Cries Mary" sound Immediatly.
We Also Compared this Amp to several Fenders of similar Values and Features. First Up was an early 70's Fender Vibrolux. This is one of my All time Favorites. This 2 x 10" Amp has been Completly Gone Over by a Incredible Guitar Amp Technician. The Speakers were a Weber Alnico Blue Pup and Jensen C10Q. All tubes NOS and The Stock Silverface Circutry has been Blackfaced. This Amp has Continually amazed All Kinds of guitar Players Over the Last 2 years that I have Owned it. The Comparision Was Extremely Close with the Vibrolux sounding a Bit Airier on the Top End. But also alot noisier sounding. The Holland had a Tighter and fuller Low-End, and Is Extremely Quiet in Opperation.
Next Up was a 1966 Deluxe Reverb. One of the greatest Guitar amps ever made. This One is Mint Condition with a JBL D-120 Speaker. (I have had several Other speakers in this Amp, But really Liked the clean and Spanky sound of the JBL) The Deluxe has an Incredibly Shimmerey Clean and Jangly Kind of Sound. The 6V6 tubes are Realy Great at that. The Reverb is A bit Brighter and Sproingier than the Holland, It was a bit more of a Surf Sounding reverb.
The Amp Comparisons were Both Favorable. With The Holland having a Flavor all its own. The Reverb was Softer, longer and Fuller Sounding. The Holl

This Amp is so well Built and designed that any competent Techician would have no problem fixing it. Always have exra tubes abvailable and you most likely never have a problem you can fix.

I am extremly sorry to hear that Mike Holland is no longer making His Trademark Amplifiers. This is Really a complete Bummer. The Guitar world is going to suffer a Great loss.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been Playing guitar for 20 years and Own 60 Guitars and 30 Tube Amplifiers. The Holland Lil-Jimi is as good as it gets in this modern world. If mine were lost or stolen, I would consider Suicide. Or try and contact Mike Holland and offer my Wife and world savings to have him Build me another one.

Late 90's 35 watt lil jimi, 3 speaker outs for extension cab, single channel class A tube tone. 6L6 tubes with finger joined cab....reverb with level and dwell, Non-master volume. I use this at home for practice/ recording as it has a wonderful clean tone with strats and some mild crunch with some pauls. Speaker is an Eminence with a nice round bottom end that is not thumpy and has excellent sustain.

Sound Quality : 9
Mostly with strats/ single coils and a custom hollow strat with hot Bartolini pickups, this thing has a great clean sound- full and rich with good sustain...with texas special pickups and the tone knob rolled done, you get a pretty good stevie ray tone....no real distortion when this thing is dimed with an average strat pickup, just smooth overdrive that sustains without end...it likes pedals and with a boost pedal you can get a saturated sound at lower volumes and more distortion-ish overdrive. It has a sweet sound and it is a singing guitar sound, like a vintage marshall when overdriven or like a sparkling fender at lower volumes.
I'm not too fond of the reverb because it easily sounds too washy, but thats just me. Has a sweep eq which i cannot really figure out too well.

Reliability : 10
Solid- point to point, nice clean job, solid cab-finger joined, never broken down, bought used from 2nd owner and i don't think it has ever had a problem.

Never had a problem.

playing for 5 years and have an ampeg vt-22, vintage silvertone 5 watter, tube amp in case, vintage peavey 120 watt tube head (road master?), various fender strats and custom strats, 1983 les paul studio.
This thing loves pedals, is quiet and has a beautiful tone for chords and with the volume dimed allows for fun lead work with a sound that really cuts.
In short, it is a one trick pony but I don't think there's anything wrong with that...My ampeg has a sparkling clean sound but doesn't have the capability to overdrive so sweetly as the holland.

Holland Little Jimi 35 Watts, Single 12" Eminence Legend Speaker (killer) 2 6L6 Power tubes 2 knob Reverb Basic EQ controls Treble, Mid, Bass, and presence. and Loads of killer Tone.

Sound Quality : 10
This is a single channel amp. I find it is Voice a Bit like a Marshall, but with the clarity of a Fender Blacface. Very full sounding amp with a good amount of Low End! Great for Recording. I Play a Don Grosh Retro Strat (Best Guitar I have ever played) Through a Boogie Twin Tube Pedal and a Teese real McCoy Wah. Tone For Days!!!!!! Absolutly stunning!!!
Has a nice clean sound and starts to break up nicely. My Favorite is Setting the Volume up to the point were it is just starting to break up, Then turning down the guitar Volume just a bit. I use the Boogie pedal for my Overdrive/Lead sound. Very Nice reverb as well.

Reliability : 10
seeme to be built like a Tank. Feels very solid! Dont anticipate any problems. Carry some spare tubes just in case.

My amp was made in 2002 and is extremely versatile for a one channel amp. It provides me with the capability of playing rock, R&B, blues, metal and jazz; simply by setting the tone and volume up for each of those styles. I have played this amp against other who were using vintage Fenders, Marshalls, VOX AC30 and Mesa Boogies and each time, the other players comment on the tone quality "Your amps smokes, man!"

Like I said, it is a single channel amp and was made without tone robbing effect loops and head phone jacks.

It has everything I want feeding it tube circuit!

Going against Marshall stacks and Fender Twins, it has proven to have enough power andtone to cut through the mix and get the job done.

Sound Quality : 10
Stratocasters, G&L Legacy Special, Les Pauls and Gretch White Falcon.

The amp I purchased sound super great and much better than other vintage and boutique amps that I have or have played through for all of the styles I play (Blues, Rock, R&B, Jazz, and Country)

The reverb controls are super, much more lush than a stand alone Fender Reverb unit.

No noise or hum - this is because of the aluminum chassis and high quality components used during manufacturing of the amp.

There is only one channel and it plays at high volumes with a creamy butter tone that get envy from other guitar slingers.

Reliability : 10
Never broken down yet.

This is most unfortunate because Mike Holland is an individual who really cares about his product, but does not have the best response to inquiries. My advice to Mike would be to stop the BS and get on with responding to your customers!

About 30 years and I own 14 different guitars, Fenders, Gibsons, G&L and Gretch.

If stolen, I would purchase another one but I would make sure that Mike Holland get's it built on time.

I just received this anp 2 days ago direct from Holland amps. It was purchased from Jay Wolfe guitars in Jupiter FL via email and phone. It was great doing business with Jay and also the people at Holland amps.
This is the 35 watt 1x12 version. Speaker is a Eminence vintage.Single
channel point to point, cloth wire.solidly built. The reverb is excellent to say the least. The controls took a bit to figure out but
they give you many tone options.

Sound Quality : 10
I play all stlyes of music but the band I play with is a blues r&b band. I play strats, teles, and a heritage blues deluxe. This amp sounds great with any guitar played through it.Great clean spank when you want but also grinds nicely when cranked.I cant imagine this amp wouldnt handle any style thrown at it.The reverb is simply awesome..
thick and spacious....also plenty of delay if you so desire.

Reliability : 9
Only had it for a few days but seems very solid. The quality in the building of this amp is second to none. Very nice solid finger jointed pine...black tolex...oxblood grillcloth...all expertly crafted
and assembled.Very nice aircraft aluminum chassis and controll panel.
I dont forsee and reliability problems with this amp. All hand built in the USA using USA components.

I talked to Val at Holland amps several times via phone and emails. He was very helpful in my choosing of this model and answered all my questions promptly.I was told if I ever have a problem just to let him know. I have been playing for 25 yrs and have owned just about every brand amp made.....I love this amp. Like any tube amp.. problems
may arise, but feel confident in this companies warranty.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I also use a Bluespearl Texas Tornado for smaller gigs but find I may not need it since buying this amp.I find whatever guitar I play through this...no matter what type pickups..its easy to get great tone.I compared this to other amps but for the money....think this cant be beat. And yes...if it was stolen...I would get another.

Purchased this amp via electronic wire transfer in September 2002, but had to wait until January 2003 to receive it and then only after I when to Holland amps to pick it up.

The Little Jimi is a single channel amp - that was suppose to be custom built to handle 120V and 220V and operate in a Class A or Class A/B state using GEC KT-66 power tubes. (I supplied the tubes) Unfortunately, it only operates with 120V in a Class A/B state.

Sound Quality : 10
It is a good amp capable of producing sweet blues tone with a slight distortion edge that is not harsh to the ears. It is also capable of substaining a note for 24 bars without loosing that drive or tone.

Played in small clubs and blues bars, it turns easily heads and get's those guitar player smiles of envy.

Reliability : 7
Only had this amp a few months and it plays HOT, but that is those KT-66 tubes.

Customer Support : 6
Calls and e-mails go unanswered!

After going to Holland amp, I could see why, these boys work on fine tuning the amps so that the sound is just right.

I initially when there to pick up this amp because on poor responses, but after staying there all day, I changed that opinion to a more understanding and favorable one.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing since 1964 and played a lot of amps.

This amp was generally made to my specifications (Except for the transformer and Class A modes) everything plays sweetly. I can not blame Holland for that transformer and a new one is on the way, in the meantime, I use it with 120V's .

Regarding the Class A & Class A/B modes, Mike was kind enought to explain why the amp was set-up as is and offered to provide both if I wanted that option, after hearing this amp, I declined that option. It is just too sweet.

This is a very simple 1 channel all-tube amp with reverb. It features 50 watts with 1x12 speaker. There are not too many features, as this is a vintage style amp. My amp was designed with some very cool features that many others in this vein do not feature. It has a multi-tap transformer that allows you to use different ohm-ed outputs. You can even have an extension speaker while using the built in speaker. Mine also has a tube buffered effects loop, and the reverb controls are more thorough than a traditional Fender style.

Sound Quality : 9
This amp sounds beautiful! Very Fendery with lots of warmth. I play mostly modern straight ahead jazz, with elements of blues and funk. I use a Heritage 535 with Tom Anderson humbuckers. The amp has a beautiful, fat and clean jazz tone. It is geared more for blues-rock players, but at 50 watts its extremely clean with lots of headroom. When cranked really loud it has great breakup. Much smoother and meaner than most Fenders. With my Maxon 808 it screams. I can get a killer blues tone or a thick sax-like fluid legato tone with ease. Even though I'm mostly a jazz player, I don't like an overly clean and sterile sounding amp. This amp has warmth!

Reliability : 9
You could definetely depend on this amp. It is built like a tank and uses only the highest quality components. I dropped it on my first gig, and after my initial heart attack, I found nothing broken. When I plugged it in, it worked perfect! Besides it has a lifetime warranty.

Customer Support : 10
I was introduced to these amps by my good friend, Val Evans, a great Nashville studio guitar player. He introduced me to the guys at Holland, particularly Chris Enderly. They were both very helpful and open to my ideas in building this amp. I was able to pick it up at NAMM, and was blown away by it. Its nice to know that I can talk to these guys anytime that I need help or have questions. They are happy to service it at any time, or even for modifications.

Overall Rating : 10
If you are looking for a great sounding all tube amp that can cover any kind of music, this is definetely the one. Even though this amp doen't have channel switching, you won't miss it. Just use a good distortion pedal and it screams. A good pedal board in front of it can give you everything that you could ever want. Better than any rack/preamp system can give you. I used this amp to retire my '69 Bandmaster Reverb head, which was very hard to do. The Bandmaster had the most beautiful clean sound i've ever heard, but the amp was pretty beat up, as well as kind of cumbersome to lug around. This amp sounds the same, but maybe even better. Plus it is more reliable, and practical. And with the cane grill cloth and black tolex, it looks bitchin!

Year 2001 Holland Lil Jimi,35 watt all Tube, point to point hand made amp. Reverb, 2x10 Reverend Speakers. I play Blues, Jazz Fusion, Early 70's Hard Rock. Single Channel and that is the way it should be, if you know how to play! If you can't play buy a Pignose. You can't hide behind a bunch of compressed distortion. If you know what you want this amp will get you there! (Tonnnnnnnnnnnnnne!)

Sound Quality : 10
I play a bunch of modified strats, 50's, 60,'s, 70's. They all sound totally different with this amp. The amp is designed for the Blues, Early 70's rock and Fusion. Use a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 and get a bunch of different tones from this amp. It really sounds incredible with a 4X12 loaded w/Vintage 30's. The amp is very quit, and loud. No master volume , so if you want bedroom level sound and distortion, get a THD Hotplate, or add a master volume. The amp is very clean sounding until turned way up, but it will not sound like a tinny Mesa Boogie. If your looking for Metal, first learn about tone and then learn how to play.

Reliability : 10
No Problems

Customer Support : No Opinion
No Need.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing since 1980, and have owned all types of amps and guitars. Marshall Plexis, Fender Blackfaces and on and on. I still own my heavily modified Marshall 1974 50 watt. The Holland is a fantastic amp for people who know how to play. Boogie folks you will need time to graduate, but you will get there. By the way I never owned a boogie.
If you are looking for tone and incredible reverb and know how to fight with a strat , then you will find sonic nirvana with this amp. Once this amp warms up, about 30 mins your fingers will melt into your fingerboard.
