Lol many pplz seem to be reviewing this thing as if it's a high end Mesa or something. It's not, it's a solid state practice amp. That said, there's nothing special about it, just a standard distortion found on many practice amps. Basically:
- Clean channel (level), Distorted channel (gain, level, no footswitch obviously!!!), bass - mid - treb for both.
- Headphone out which mutes the speaker.
- 6.5in speaker (but wouldnt mind an 8in or up - increased cone area).
- Versatility? Well like others have said, it is a practice amp and should only be reviewed as such. I.e. i wouldnt worry about that.

Sound Quality : 5
- I use a basic Ibanez GRX20 with 2 Hums.
- As it is a practice amp, suiting a particular style doesn't really come into it. However, the clean sounds O.K., a little muddy (lacks edge even with treb right up). Distortion is pretty standard. At high gain it is a little harsh and indistinct, though if u lower the gain a little its fine. In fact put the clean level on high and it clips quite nicely :-p.
- Noisy - yes that is a problem. A hiss is noticeable at practice volumes. Get above 5 on either channel and noise is very distinct!
- The GT10 is obviously not meant for gigging... That said I have used it so, though don't expect anyone past the first row to hear u...

Reliability : 10
This is the one area where this little amp stands up. The GT10 is rock solid physically and otherwise.... Also playing this thing at max volumes makes it quite warm (no fan or heatsink...) but it doesn't conk out even after an hour or so (note that practicing at this volume is quite painful...).
Never failed me even after 6 or so years.

Customer Support : No Opinion
As mentioned, never failed me. Hence, never had to deal with customer support.

Overall Rating : 8
Overall this is probably rates medium among other practice amps I've used. If it was stolen or lost, I probably wouldn't bother getting another one as it doesn't particularly inspire any affection within me. Nothing special about the GT10, but nothing bad either. In the end what practice amp you get depends on how much money you have, really.

It has only 1 channel, it has 5 knobs: Gain, volume, high, low, mid. That's it.

Sound Quality : 1
It sucks. I've compared it to a fender sidekick, a Marshall VS100, a Laney HMX40, and a Peavey bandit. This is the worst sound you can get. So, if looking for expensive carbage, get this amp. And the funny thing is: You don't have to play, it always makes nois: SSSSGRGRGSSS.

Reliability : 8
It's almost rock solid, I use it as a table.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 2
It came with a Ibbie Jumpstart package. The guitar is just fine, nothing wrong with that thing. But the cable, and the amp are carbage.

As Dave S (below) says, think what you are reviewing!! This is a low watt, low price, beginners practice amp, and as such, it excels!

Considering the above don't expect features that would appear on a Marshall 100 or a Peavey. It is not supposed to thrash out Heavy metal.

The basic controls are fine for getting started, they shouldn't have bothered with the distortion, however.

Sound Quality : 9
Used with an Ibanez Stagestar. Could get some nice "Beatle' sounds using the humbucker, and some good soft sounds from the neck pickup. Good clean sound....didn't like the distortion effect though.
Again, lets consider what it is, -a beginners practice amp, it is more than good enough.

Reliability : 10
Excellent. worked every time I switched it on.

Customer Support : No Opinion
not needed.

Overall Rating : 10
If it were lost or stolen I would buy again, IF I still needed a low watt, low price practice amp.

this is about as basic as it gets. 10 watts. solid state. 2 channels. i don't even bother with the distortion channel. it sounds like mud. it's very usefull for home recording if you used a processor through it because you can send your signal out the headphone jack into the line in on a computer. the amp itself is loud for its size but doesn't even come close to comparing to Tech21's 10watt equivilant

Sound Quality : 6
this amp is really iffy. alone it sounds crappy but i run a digitech rp50 through it into my computer and it sounds outstanding. i get complements all the time on my home recordings.
so, alone, i give it a ....3
with the rp50 i give it a 10!

Reliability : 9
never had a problem with it. but than again, it barely ever moves from it's position under my desk.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with 'em

Overall Rating : No Opinion
If it were stolen or lost, would you buy it again or get something else?
---i'd get a tech21.

Did you compare it to other products? Which ones? Why did you choose this one?
----most amps were better than this one but it serves it's purpose and it was dirt cheap. i compared it to other 10 watt fenders, crates, and tech21.

My first amp was a GTA10 made in 2004. I got it in a starter pack with a GRX40 Guitar. The amp has two channels, clean and gain. It has a headphone jack, but I wish it had CD input and some effects. I played with it in my bedroom at low volume, and it was pretty powerful.

Sound Quality : 5
I used it with a GRX40 that has S,S,H p'ups. I play rock and heavy metal by AC/DC, Black Sabbath, etc. and it works well for this because all the sound gets muddled together. For a beginner amp, it sounds not that bad, when it worked (see "reliability"). It sounds average when played clean. The sound variety is limted, as it only has 2 channels. It's hard for me to tell because i have an awesome Ibanez guitar with lots of variety. The distortion is TERRIBLE, unless you like just waling the strings and makin dischord (I sometimes do).

Reliability : 1
This amp is ok when it works. I wouldn't use it in a gig. I'd use it as a back-up, maybe. The first amp started to develop a really loud hiss especially with any gain. It was really annoying. The second amp started to hiss also and then it died. The 3rd amp, yep that's right I'm on amp 3 now also developed a hiss and then a sound like a motor boat (not cool). They all lasted about 2 to 3 weeks. After going through 3 Ibanez amps, the guy at the store just let us take a Peavy Backstage amp, and it's lasted about 3 months with no problems. :-)

Customer Support : 8
I never contacted Ibanez, and don't know any of the other stuff. The guys at Guitarworks in Calgary were great. They tried to replace my amp 3 times with the same model of amp but on the 4th try we were going to replace the amp and the guitar but they gave me the Peavy Backstage amp. My rating is for Guitarworks, not Ibanez.

Overall Rating : 1
I own a GTX40 Guitar (Good beginner guitar, and it even came with 5 picks, two red, two blue, and 1 black), a Peavy starter amp (It is much better than the amp i'm reviewing), an Ibanez Muio tuner (average), and a electronic metronome. I've been playin 4 months, and am not an Angus Young (AC/DC kicks ***!!!!) yet. This amp is a pathetic piece of ****!!!!!

OK First of all. The majority of the review below that say this amp sucks have to think about what your reviewing. I'm guessing most likely you guys arn't professionals. To compare this amp with bigger better amps is stupid. This obviously it is no fender twin or mesa boogie. Its a practice amp and/or a first amp for begginers and compared to other amps in its class it is a real winner.

I've owned all kinds of amps, big and small. Everyone is so keen to get a big amp. The reality is unless your gigging in theatres that whole 2000+ people you really don't need an amp that bigger than 30 - 50 watts. And for playing at home you certainly dont want anything bigger than a 15 watt amp. Ok enought ranting.

Features:

*1 channel (but it can be switched into a clipping circuit for distortion)
*distortion level control
*volume control
*treble control
*bass contol
*treble control
*headphone jack

Everything you need in a small amp. I'm going to leave the rating blank because a number doesnt tell you anything specific.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
For an amp in its price range it sounds good. It kicks the little squier 10 what amps which have a pathetic clipping circuit. Clean sound is nice. Treble and bass controls are sensitive enough to roll out any boomy or harsh frequencies. My acoustic with a pickup actually sounds very good through this amp and I have used it busking on occasion.

The distortion is best at higher levels. Sounds a little boxy (but its a small amp) at lower levels it doesnt break up like a fender by this amp is solid state. Some noise but only at high levels so the signal to noise ratio is good.

Reliability : No Opinion
Never had a problem. Tough built. Has strong rubber corners to protect the vinyl (tolex?) covering.

Overall, this is one of the better practice amps out there. I wont be selling it.

For a practice amp this thing rocks the house. for classic rock and punk and even a bit of ska this thing served me well. Granted the disrtion wasnt top of the line at high volumes but you should not need to have the volume up to the max after all it is a practice amp.

Sound Quality : 5
the sound is awsome at 5 and below or if you need to crank it with headphones its bloody marvalous. i have unfortinatley had to play several shows with this beast but at lvl 5 and a mic to the PA it sounded top of the line

Reliability : 10
this thing has been thrown from the roof and fallen off my truck on the highway and it still sounds like the day i got it

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 7
if your expecting something that sounds so awsome at high lvls it will make you cry then this is not for you go out and buy a real amp. but for something just to write songs with and tote to jam sessions this thing is for you. and to everyone with something bad to say about this beast i shun you. you've got alot to learn about what the purpose of a practice amp is for.

alright to begin, this amp is nothin but a plain sh*t box (as said below). the 1 "feature" SUCKS and we all know what that is. the only thing this amp is good for i would say is probably a stepstool. i wanna run this thing over with my Grand Am.

Sound Quality : 1
the sound is soooo thick and muddy its not even funny. when u play a chord with a muted string on the clean channel, the muted string will be way louder than the chord itself. when u strum 2 or more strings at the same time on the distortion channel, you basically cant tell what your playing cause all you hear is a bunch of muddy fuzz. when i used to use this amp, i would play it with the cheap guitar it came with (ibanez stagestar) in which the strings buzz like hell even when u rise the strings to the MAX, bend the neck to the MAX, and buy the MAXIMUM gauge strings. but back to the amp, its not very loud in which i wouldnt know because i never turned the volume past about 5 cause it starts shakin and rattlin afraid its gonna blow up or somethin. the distortion sucks even with a pedal. i even hooked my dads PRS up to this b*tch and it STILL sound sh*tty as can be. so that wraps up the sounds.

Reliability : 4
i could stab a screwdriver through it, kick it a few times (which ive done before), but im not sure if it can take the pressure/weight/impact of my Grand Am at 50+mph (which i will later find out)

Customer Support : No Opinion
i want my moms money back

Overall Rating : 1
well i had this amp since i was about 10, im 18 now, and i quit playin the guitar for 6 years because when i was inspired, i was expecting to hear nice sounds which i was disappointed thinking thats all it was. so to sum things up this amp is plain SAD. if i could go back, i would probably choose one of them toy wal-mart amps (as stated below) instead of this garbage. ohh and for the viewers thinking of getting this amp, the people that gave it a good or ok rating are just beginners who dont know nothin about guitars and amps. so take my word for it...dont get this garbage. "PERIOD!!!"

i got this in a little starter pack for my first electric, i had been playing a little while and the amp was fine. im now playing a JS1000 (satch's model) and i want to throw this amp in a lake. features: clean... distortion... clean sounds like ass... distortion on it blows. 'nuff said.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
i use to have it going through a g6x40 (from the starter pack) when i had just started playing, it was fine because i had nothing to compare it to. after progressing in my playing, i want to run it over with a buick so the distortion will sound better. its gay!!! again the clean sounds like ass lint... the distortion sounds like you're playing through a phone.

Reliability : No Opinion
the thing is a beast, you cant break it unless you... well even throwing it against a brick wall wont hurt it.
