2009 Ibanez GTA15R -- My FIRST Ibanez anything. I bought primarily for the price and the prior reviews. It was part of a small package of gear including somes strings, amp stand, and foot effects pedals. Purchased for 100% practice (I have a larger 75w Peavey for playing small gigs). I needed something small, decent sound, and versatile. I use the amp in a private office (bedroom) in my home. Plenty of power for what I am doing with it. I use headphones only occassionally (1 out of 20 times).

Sound Quality : 10
I was amazed at how good the "clear" quality is on this little amp. Reminded me immediately of a nice Fender amp that cost five times the money. Not as loud, of course, but I was more interested in quality than in loud at this point.

I play a very broad selection from early Rock (Beatles, Jan & Dean, Buddy Holly, etc.) to Classic Rock (Stones, Moody Blues, Doors, Steely Dan, etc.) and into heavy rock (Zepplin, ZZ Top, AC/DC, etc.). So the breadth of sounds is important. From the beginning I was very pleased with the overdrive channel and reverb on this unit. I played without effects for a week or more and was very happy being able to practice just about anything.

I recently began playing some good blues and jazz as well. I've tackled a couple George Benson songs that demand a very clear sound, and this box provides it so far. More importantly, I also have done a LOT of Muddy Waters, BB King, and Albert Brooks through this amp without a complaint.

Just remember, this is a 15 watt practice ampt that will sound great so long as you known what it should be used for. If you want to runa KISS concert on it then knock it off now and get something much bigger.

Reliability : 9
I've taken it to 3 practice and 2 gig sessions. The practice sessions were a mix of electric and light bass (I was the only electric). The 2 gigs were not anything I had planned to play in, but I was asked to "fill in" for a couple songs. Next thing I know I've played 70% of the first set and they asked me to stay for the 2nd. It was all the amp and guitar (Ibanez amp, Fender Strat, with vintage Digitech effects pedal).

Amp was solid but not overly heavy. Eash to position on top of a small sound cabinet being used for the organ. The sound did not get lost, as it the case with many small units.

Now ... I'm not going to take it into a large beer haul or even mid-sized pub. It would be good for playing solo-show with effectivs pedal and electronic drum setup from the corner of the room. But in a full band, in a full stage, and with a full set of patrons this will get lost.

Haven't dealt with them.

I've played off and on for more than 30 years, but only seriously for about 2 of those years. I "noodle" around a lot, and I got this amp just so I could start getting serious. With this amp I've already learned a half-dozen new songs and played at public gigs twice. It makes playing fun again, and I'm lookward to receiving my next order of equipment.

If stolen ... I'd replace in a NY minute. I'd even pay $10 more than the original price. To get the same quality and build you'd have to almost double the money.

Now the complaints ... only 2 of them. (1) Make the numbers bigger and brighter. They look fine when you're sitting right on top of the amp, but when using it for practice with others you're scooted back from the ampt and it makes them harder to see.

2) Fix the chord tie system so that it closes toward the outside of the box. Mine wants to close the velcro toward the inside of the box, which means I have to get the whole chord inside before it will work. I htink positing the staples so that they face outword would be better. Maybe a little block on the bottom, inside of the cabinet to put the velcro on to turn it outward.
