Got in to use at band jamming sessions (my amp is heavy and big). Just borrowed it from a friend to see what this thing can do.
Well you can't go wrong with this little amp. It has volume gain low mid high and the shit button (read on).

Sound Quality : 3
Started on clean and one day I thought lets see what the distortion does. That was a big mistake. My ears are still bleeding to this day on! Yeah brutal distortion too bad it is the kind of brutal that causes your ears to bleed!! O yeah I opened this one up as well and there is nothing wrong with this one. The distortion simply sounds like big farting ass!! I can imagine that beginners start to get demotivated the more they use this machine. It doesnt pick up your notes there is no sustain whatsoever and everything you try changes into feedback. I see people giving positive ratings on this product. Maybe I got a different one or year. Clean, yeah cool clean is good. Straight nice dynamic clean but I don't use clean (starts laughing evily)

Nothing wrong with the reliability of this thing

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

I play a lot and I have seen alot. I am spoiled since I am used to big self made tube amps. So maybe I am not used to amps like these any longer. It is simple said, for a beginner everything is fine (even when the distortion sounds like ass). But once you start getting somewhere it is time to pick a real amp. Don't look into your wallet listen with your ears maybe the amp of your dreams isn't that expensive after all :)

I got this amp when i first started playing guitar, but im not quite sure what year the amp was made in, but im sure it was sometime recently. This is a pretty basic solid state amp, made for beginners, but is still pretty versatile. boost button, 3 band eq, headphone jack. Im not going to rate its features because what more do you expect out of a 100 dollar beginner amp.

Sound Quality : 7
I play this through an Ibanex GAX30 and a washburn strat copy, and it does justice. It can actually go pretty loud for 10 watts. It's not noisy at all and doesnt hiss or feedback. The amp itself can get a pretty fair distortion if you hit the boost button and turn up the gain. sometimes the clean channel gets a bit flat and dull at high volumes, but with practicing you will probably never be up that high. I play stuff all the way from ambient noise to spazzcore and this is just fine for that.

Reliability : 10
This is a tough little amp. I've dropped it a bunch if times and its still going. i havent had any problems with it, and i dont see myself having any in the future. I obviously wouldn't use this at a gig, but i guess if it came down to it i would practice/jam with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I havent had to deal with Ibanez yet.

Overall Rating : 8
I have been playing for about 4 years now and I've had this since i got my first electric guitar. I have an Oscar Shchmidt (washburn) Strat copy and an Ibanex GAX30. I have a few pedals including the Ibanez sm7 Smashbox, Dan Electro Flange, and a few others. If this amp were lost, stolen, or broke down i dont think i would replace it just because i dont really need it anymore, but i highly suggest it to anyone starting out on guitar.

No ideas what year it's made. Just a small practise amp with clean and distortion channel. 3band EQ .headphone jack.

Sound Quality : 7
I own a few guitars (a US strat, Epiphone SG, a Jackson Flying V ,a Rickenbacker 12 strings custom, a ESP viper bass and a few cheap guitars) I play in a rock band, 70's style of sound. The amp actually has quite a lot of mid and high end. Distortion channel sounds terrible... really noisy. One thing good about this amp is to turn up the gain on Clean channel and it gives a pretty nice sounds.(thats the reason it scored the 7) it can go pretty loud in a small room.
after all ... nothing's good ...
i didn't expect much from a small practise amp.

Reliability : 8
gig with it ? are you kinding me ... no way ...
I put this amp in my bedroom just for a little practice. have never broken down yet, even i plug my bass guitar in this amp all the time. and I tried to fxck it up so many times, cranked it up so loud and it's still working...

i'm 25 and I've been playing for 8 years, play in a 70's style rock band. I own a 83 US strat, Epiphone SG, a Jackson Flying V , a Rickenbacker 12 strings custom, an ESP viper bass and a few cheap guitars. I mainly use my Marshall JCM800, full stack to gig and i used to have an old Vox AC30 for recording but it's not working anymore. I have a small Crate practise amp (in somewhere, probably in the garage)which i recommend the clean sound on it , can't remember the model, it's a 15watts with 8" speaker.
if this amp get stolen, i will be happy to buy something new...maybe a Roland Cube.

Rock On and Peace Out!

This was my first amp.
It's good for private practicing (it's got a headphone jack) or rehearsing if you are into rock or RnR like me.

Its features are a bit basic and I don't like the speaker too much but the boost is cool for the small amount of money.

My amp has no CD input jack like Ibanez state on their homepage.

The only problem I had (which was finally the reason to buy another amp) was that it has no reverb effect which can make an amp sound much better sometimes. That's why the features don't get a 9 rating.

Sound Quality : 7
Again, this amp is perfect for practicing.
I used to use it with a cheap Squier Strat and it sounded OK.

The boost is not bad though the amp can have a bit dull sound which surely is good if you're playing blues.

The main problem is that I can't get a clean sound. If I turn the boost off, the sound will always be a little distorted which can be very annoying at times... (another reason why I bought another amp and why the sound doesn't get a 8 rating)

Reliability : 9
The amp is very robust.
If you're going by train and no seat is left for you, just sit on it...
It has survived cloudbursts and downpour and I never made it to frazzle the speaker (and I used to turn ALL the knobs to maximum in order to pick on my neighbours!)

The only problem I have ever experienced is that the gain pot has become scratchy over the years. (So NEVER switch the amp on and turn that damn gain knob before you haven't turned the master volume to 0 !!)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 8
Overall, not bad for a made-in-china amp at this price. (and I spent a lot of money compared to the other reviewers)
Nothing outstanding here but the overdrive is solid.

I can't agree with many people saying this one's a light weight amp... after some minutes of carrying it really gets heavy and used to almost tear my arm off so that I always changed it from left hand to right hand - left - right - left - right ... in shorter and shorter intervals!

I wish it had a reverb, then it'd be much better but especially if you play heavy, rock, LedZep or anything from the harder area, this one's good for rehearsing.

10W, 3-Band Equalizer, Clean channel with a Boost switch for overdrive and distortion, headphone jack. Really, this is perfect for just playing in your room or practicing to yourself.

Sound Quality : 6
I've used a Epiphone SG and Les Paul, along with a Kona KES2 (all with stock pickups) on this and they've all sounded great. I play usually old school punk and hardcore and they all sound great on this. It gets loud enough for me to use when practicing with my band, too. Sadly, this is one buzzing amp, and I can't stand to use it without Boost or it just sounds pitiful. But with the boost on it sounds great, just buzzy.

Reliability : 10
I bought this amp used from a friend of mine. I don't know how long he had it, but i've had it for almost two years and it still sounds perfect, so i'll say it's pretty dang reliable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with it.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for a few years now, and i love this amp. I've been playing with Crates and Marshall's in the 50 watt range that i still don't like as much as this little guy. If it were stolen/broken I'd likely be heartbroken, but i'd just buy a higher watt Ibanez. For the price and size, i feel there's no better.

This review is for what you should do when you blow out the wimpy "Power Jam" speaker, which will be quick. This unit stock is useless for most anything, but the amp's fine - just replace the speaker. The amp will drive a heavy duty 8" replacement or as big as a 212 ext. cab. You'd be surprised how loud this amp can get if hooked to the right speakers.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
With a heavy duty 8" replacement, and the back of the cab removed, the amp sounds open and is solid with a variety of electrics and ele/acoustics/12 strings. Great with pedals and mFx. Can go real loud for bedroom amp, maybe loud enough for a cheap practice rig. Very very quite. Nicely articulated mid-range & top-end, weak bottom-end. A nice little amp to have around.

Reliability : No Opinion
The speaker is the weak link. Junk it.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I've tried it in stereo configuation with mFx and another amp with a big bottom end, used it to drive a 2x12 cab, as a acoustic/electric amp, and tried very high gain effects driven Santanaish leads - it works fine. Creamy. If you've thrown yours in the trash: rescue it.

Has 2 channels, clean and od. 3 EQ knobs, Gain, and Master Volume. Has one input, and a headphone jack. Closed back cab. 12 lbs. Good features for a practise amp, if you looked around you can get more though. 10 watts.

Sound Quality : 6
This amp blows for any guitar with good pickups. The only way to make it sound good is to plug it into a junk guitar w/ weak pickups. Anything like seymour duncans and everything goes nuts, the clean will go muddy, and the distortion sounds like all feedback. However with weak pickups, you can get good cleans, and the distortion is ok. The junk guitar is the Ibanez GRX40 (I still love it, first guitar, sentimental value) with really weak p'ups. The good guitar is my schecter platinum stealth. Les Paul's sound like crap through it, strat style guitars sound good w/ it, but their p'ups suck. The distortion is ok at best, I like the tone, but you can't hear your picking technique very well.

Reliability : 8
It's lasted a good while. Won't break on you, but won't give you any more that it can do. Definately not a gigging amp. If it ever broke it'd just be easier to buy a new one (50 bucks) and it'd probably cost less than getting it fixed. I don't know why anybody would buy this again.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea.

Overall Rating : 6
Well, 6.5. It works, it's great for a beginner, probably the best amp you can get in a package, but it still sucks compared to lots of other stuff.

Two Channels: Clean and Distortion (with a switch of course, DUH)
Three Band EQ
Vol knob, Boost/gain knob

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using a Hondo BC Rich Warlock replica (go ahead and laugh) with two DiMarsio(sp) humbucker pickups with Boss Metal Zone pedal.
This is my first amp, so I don't know how it compares with other small amps, I bought it because it's kinda cheap and the Ibanez brand.
I have played guitar for a long time (since 6) mostly classic stuffs, but got attracted to heavy metal recently.
This guitar is excellent for all kinds of rock music, from classic rock, nu metal crap, to death/trash metal. Eventhough I have to say that heavy metal is this amp's strong point.
The clean channel is good, not too clean, but good, especially for modern rock.
The Distortion KICKS ASSSSS!! Just perfect for metallica stuffs, which what I played most. At high volume it gets a bit, just a lil' bit, muddy. But what would you expect from a 10 watt amp.
The point is, if you're playing heavy metal/hard rock and just starting up or looking for a practice amp, THIS IS THE AMP FOR YOU.
Otherwise if you're playing blues or anything that requires clean sound, steer clear!

Reliability : No Opinion
Can't say, had it only for 2 months, so far so good.

Can't say alot here either

Overall Rating : 9
My first amp I bought, have been playin quite alot of other small amps though.
Better than Randall and marshall for my kind of music.
If it's stolen, I will definitely get another one, or the same amp with bigger power.

It has 2 channels: clean and overdrive.
Well it's the only amp I own at the moment, so it
does the trick. The clean channel sounds nice, it's not
dirty sounding. The overdrive isn't that great, maybe for
blues or something, but I like rock and roll baby.
I play a 100w amp in my church's praise and worship band, but this amp
is fine at my house.

Sound Quality : 10
At high volumes the clean is still clean and the distortion
ain't too brutal. That's what my distortion pedal is for.
I have a unique writing style, but the amp can make sounds
that were unmatched untill the one legged space chickens arrived.
When it's at 10 with the dist. pedal on, the amp rattles like it's gonna explode, but it doesn't, so it's all good. I play rock and roll.

Reliability : 10
Very reliable. I'd trust my life with this thing.
But I wouldn't trust my girl with it, it's wild man.

Don't know, haven't needed their help.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
My only complaint about this amp is that the volume doesn't go to 11.
If it were lost or stolen I'd put it's picture on the back of milk cartons and cry like a little baby. I'd buy a bigger amp. I love it b/c it's been down with me since day one. I've been playing for 2 years and I bought this the day I started playing. I like it's sound and I'd never get rid of it. I can sit on it while I play and it's sturdy. I wish it had solid gold knobs, but hey, whatever.
I recommend this amp for anyone that's just beginning to learn how to play but can't afford a nicer amp. It sounds a LOT better than those crappy 10w Crate amps. I like the big Crates, not the practice amps.
So yeah, cool amp guys.

A small practice guitar amp. i dont know in wich year was it made, but i bougth it for about one year now(exactly when i first felt an electric axe in my hands).i use this at home, whith it's speaker disconnected. i connect it to another speaker i have, because the original one sounds harsh. but it's a 6' speaker. if it had even a fuc**ng cheap reverb circuit, it would be nice. i guess it has enough power to disturb the neighbours. always getting lots of complaints ;) however because of the impractabillity of the channel switching button i recomend getting a dist stompbox. its pretty good for a practice amp. didnt gave it a better ratting because of the fuc**n reverb.

Sound Quality : 8
i use an ibanez rg 260(i think) with 2 humbuckers and a rocktec dist pedal. mostly i play Nu metal and trash, althoug somethimes i show my sensitive side. Both channels are REALLY dependant, because when i play on the clean chanel it's not too hard to hear the ditorted sound behind. the overdrive(grainy, as any solid state circuit no matter how much valve emulattion you put into it) is good on those punk, trash, grunge, and shredding sounds, it has a lot of low end( really fuckin good for a stupid cheap practice amp!)it gets really cool with full bass, no mids and treble about half(i hate the mids behaviour on this amp). gets really dark and deep(and BRUTAL) i love it.if you crank the volume, it gets ticker. the clean channel sometimmes gets a litle dirty on full volumes(hey its a 10 watt practice amp) but its ok. there is only one major prob, on all kinds of sounds you get from it(both clean n'dirty) there doesent seem to be enough hig freq input on the preamp section(even before the eq), so it sounds a little muddy( especcially on overdrive).i use an eq after the guitar to had some high end freq bite and tickness.

Reliability : No Opinion
have it for a about a year and never had any probs

are you in a rut? then this is the perfect practice amp.
