I just bought it today, February 2006.
Made in China, Basic controls. Good enough for practice amp especially a room guitar player like me.

Too bad that this amp doesn't have reverb, wish it have one. But just like other 10watts amp, they rarely have reverb. Fair enough though.

I would give 10 if it has reverb.

Sound Quality : 10
I am playing hard rock to heavy metal drive distorted sound and the in house overdrive is work just what I needed. Too bad it doesn't have reverb.

The good thing about this amp is if I use effect pedals(I use zoom 505II and Line6 ubermetal) the sound is great. Not sounds cheap at all. The low bottom end very amazing for this little amp.

This Amp Rocks!!!

I am sure this amp is not for a beginner.

Although I just bought it, but I will try to use it for mic recording. I am not sure it's gonna sounds great cause it's only 6 inch speaker.

Compare to other products with the same class, mention Roland Cube20x, Ibanez TBX 30R, and Orange Crush 15R.

I still prefer this this IBZ10G if it's for practice amp only. This amp is the best compare to the TBX series which I believe it designed for heavy metal/ modern metal sound but the sound can't even get bottom end. Such a failure imo.

Other amps that I mention above I can fairly compare is the Orange crush 15R. For high end I prefer orange, for low bottom end I choose IBZ10G. Orange is more expensive though and have reverb(although not so good), so with the price I choose IBZ10G.

Before buying this amp, I tried cube20x and TBX30r. Those product are so for begginer like. The clean channel doesn't designed for any effect pedals.

If it were stolen or lost I would buy another one. I would use this amp for another 20years from now. I just love small amp since I only play in my room.

I give 10 because this amp lighten up my passion for playing guitar. I spent alot of money buying the other amps I mention above but I am happy to finaly get the one that I need most.

This is a very basic, no-frills small room jam amp. There are only knobs for volume, overdrive level, bass, mid & treble. There is also a CD In option, as well as a headphone jack. I'm not gonna kid you guys, this amp doesn't offer much in the way of features (the lack of reverb is disappointing). That said, for the price, what do you really want?

Sound Quality : 5
For an amp at this price, it sounds pretty good. The clean sounds are crisp and clear, while the overdrive always has some noise and buzz (you really have to mess around with the placement and your positioning of the amp; the noise can range from hideous to minimal). Again, however, for a rock-bottom price, it's not bad. The distortion IS very heavy and this little 10-watter has some serious kick. But as you may expect, it doesn't hold a candle to higher priced amps.

Reliability : 10
This amp is built pretty solid. I've never had a problem with an Ibanez amp.

I bought this for $59 as a nice, small amp to practice with in my bedroom. It serves its purpose well, and sounds pretty good to boot. Of similar amps in this price range, I find this one to be the best.

This is an updated review (owned 1 year). This little amp still rocks(Clean or High Gain). No hum on high gain anymore. Must have been a bad guitar cord. Sound Quality is still impressive for a small amplifier. Here are my Clean and High Gain settings:
Clean: Gain=0, Volume=2, Bass=+10, Middle=+6, Treble=+6
HG: Gain=7.5, Vol=1.5, Bass=+10, Mid=-2, Treble=+1
I can not say enough good things about this amp. I have owned alot of different amps over the years and I am going to keep this one. Props to the people at Ibanez.

Sound Quality : 10
Use a 1984 Ibanez Roadstar II (3 single coil pickups).
Covers Clean and Classic Rock sounds well.
Very quiet 10 Watt closed-back amplifier (used a bedroom level).
The High Gain (distortion) covers classic to heavy Rock.

Reliability : 10
One year old and still crankin' out the tones.

not sure what year amp was made
straight ahead basic controls.

Sound Quality : 10
I bought this amp to use for a week long gig. they got me a vibro lux reverb and i wanted something to put in front of it for overdrive. I ran my guitar into the ibanez and came out of the phones input to a memoryman delay and then to a ernie ball vol pedal, fron there to the vibrolux. Not know what i was going to get i thought i would have to play with it for a while. I got to the gig a little late so i had to hook up play. with minimal tweaking I was very please with the results. I use a low overdrie setting on the ibanez and used my guitar vol to go from clean to the smoothest overdrive you can imagine. ala larry carlton. I cant say enough about this amp. Much nicer than any pedal distortion ive ever used. I didnt use the clean channel because the distortion channel was so full and rich and with a slight twist of my vol control it would go to distortion soooooo smooth.

Input,Overdrive on-off switch, Gain, Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, CDIN, Phones, Power. 10 Watts, 6.5 inch speaker, closed back. Bought this year (2004) for a practice amp. Do not use the CDIN or Phones jacks, but nice if utilized. Aesthetically, black with silver grill cloth and Ibanez name plate. A built-in delay effect only would be a bonus, but for a plug-n-play, it covers clean to overdrive to crunch.

Sound Quality : 9
Using an Ibanez Roadstar with 3-single coil pickups. It is very quiet on clean settings, but can get a little buzz on heavy distortion settings, but this can be tempered by backing off on the volume(could also be the guitar pickups).OD settings(# on amp): Gain:4.5 Volume:2 Bass:+7 Middle:-5 Treble:+1 The sound quality is impressive for an amp of this size and price.

Reliability : 9
It has the appearance of being reliable. The cabinet looks sturdy. My quality assurance officer (2 year old daughter) has tested the power switch repeatedly and it has never failed to come back on.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have never dealt with the company. They have been around and have a reputation of putting out quality stuff.

Overall Rating : 10
I have played guitar for about 32 years and simplifying my setup. Grab guitar, plug into amp and play. I would buy it again if needed. Love: sound quality with minimal setup Only thing missing: I would trade the CDIN and Phones jacks for a built-in Delay effect.

Very verastiale amp FOR A PRACTICE AMP!!!!! Notice I said "Practice AMP"
This little beast has the same features as the IBZ10 PLUS a "CD IN" input jack to play along with your fav. CD's.
Very simple layout: Gain,Volume and 3 band EQ. Also has a headphone and CD in Jack.
I like the simplicity of the amp. Reverb would be cool but i don't miss it that much.
I take this amp to work with me as it fits in my locker well. It has 1 6 1/2" speaker and a closed back for a nice low end sound. This little amp is loud as hell. Great for metal. I like to annoy everyone around me so I NEVER use the headphone input jack although it is a cool feature on a practice amp. I never will use the CD input jack either. I ultimately chose this amp over a Park, Fender, Crate and some little PILE I can't remeber the name of. NONEof those fore-mentioned amps came close to the tight sounding distortion this little amp provided. Most practice amp sound wimpy and extremly fuzzy, not this one.

Sound Quality : 8
I play mostly 80's metal and alot of powerchord stuff. I go from vintage VH to Ratt to Pantera and everything in between. I actually prefer solid state for playing death metal so this amp is great. It just replaced my old crate 30 watter. Since i play metal 90% of the time, I really was blown away by it's low growl when chording. I am 34 years old and have playing long enough to know what good tone is all about. For a metal practice amp, this is it.I played an EBMM Axis, an old Kramer Baretta with an EMG 58 and an '83 San Dimas Charvel through it. I really like the Dimarzios of the Axis and the EMG pushing it. I suppose this amp isn't for everyone as a primary amp. But then again this IS a practice amp! I found the clean useable but can't get over the gain on this little bastard.

Reliability : 9
THis amp appears to be built well. I am really impressed that ibanez was thoughtful enough to build a low budget amp with a closed back. Ithink that makes a huge different in it's low-end sound. It's very well built.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had to use them so i wouldn't know.

I've been playing for 16 years
I'd buy another if something happend to it. It's cool..
I LOVE the Metal Distorion sound it kicks out. I LOVE the 3-band EQ also. I scoop the mids and it's a baby Marshall baby.
I HATE the fact that it took Ibeenhad to finally make a good sounding pracice amp for under $100.
Reverb would be nice but not totally necassary.
look folks, If you read the reviews on this amps brother, the "IBZ10", you will notice alot of beginner types running the $100 low-end ibanez that comes with these amps in a kit through them. OF COURSE they are going to sound like ass. Johnny 12 year old does not have a clue about tone yet. I have been playing, building and repairing guitars for over 10 years now and i'm telling you: If you want to escape the thin, wimpy, fuzzy sound of the typical practice amp then give this Ibanez a shot. The price is right and they sound great.
