i dont know when the amp was made. it has 2 channels, clean and a heavy metalled out distortion. headphone jack and a button to switch channels. 3 band eq. solid state. weighs less than some distortion pedals! i bought it for $8 at a garage sale. has a 2 prong plug.

Sound Quality : 10
the thing i LOVE about this amp is the completely rediculous heavy metal tone it gets. it's a great impersonation of a totally evil amp, like a fake dimebag darrell sound or maybe newer slayer or exodus or something like that. and it's tiny! it's really cute. if i close mic it and play my flying V through it, you get a suprisingly usable metal sound. or it almost sounds like some of those really buzzy fuzzed out sounds from the flower travellin band album. really cool amp! the clean is whatever, it's good for quick practicing or for the occasional weird sound on a recording.

Reliability : 6
im gonna take it on my next world tour

i have a lot of stuff. this amp is pretty much a toy but it's a really great toy. i also use it for guitar lessons, sometimes i plug students into it, really make them work to sound good during the lesson hahaha

I bought this amp in 1997. It is a transistor amp for practising at home, as it only has 24W and a 6.5" speaker which isn't being produced anymore, but as I've been told its 2 modles before the IBZ10G. It's got a standard 3-Band-EQ, a Master- and a Gain-Poti, a headphone jack and a boost switch that turns on distorsion. I only miss a CD in, but that wasn't usual at that time. It's not much, but enough for a small amp and it's loud for that size.

Sound Quality : 4
The distorsion is a little too heavy and can hardly be regulated, so you can only play clean or extremely distorted. It also rustles a little too much, especially when you use headphones. The eq is alright. As a result of the features there is not too much variety, but its OK for standard sounds.

Reliability : 10
It's been running for 6 years now. The only problem was that I once connected the Headphone jack of my radio with the input jack of the amp, but I only had to change the fuse and it worked again.

I payed what is now 275? for the amp, a cable and a Strat copy. According to the quality of the guitar I think I'd had to pay about 100-150 ? for it. I never played too regularly, but I liked it. I wouldn't buy it again, besides I'm a bassist now and it's not sold anymore, it's also a little too strong for at home and too weak for a band and the bad distorsion. But if I would get it for about 50?, I might still buy it. It's not too bad, and if the main amp crashes, you could still use it as back-up amp, better than nothing, and when everyone else playes lower, you can get along in rehersal
