Most of the the time I use a '92 Fender USA std strat with rosewood-fretboard , I ( designed & ) made a mod so I can use it stock or with - neck and bridge parallel - or - middle and bridge in series - options , masterVOL and masterTONE , one pot replaced with switch for extra options ( don't trust p-p-pots ) . Also used : Chinese Squire Strat ( with personal relic-mod , in sunburst a great gtr for the money ), Chinese Telecaster ( in blonde , needs better pickups , very shrill and microphonic , or cool for Neil Young talking through your pickups act , ash body ! ) , Korean Telecaster with one-piece-maple-neck ( nice , but need through-body-stringing , prob. alder-body )
For 95% of the time I use the low-gain mode with the gain-control on 1500 hours , bass on 1200 hours ,mid almost full , treble and presence almost cut , master ( at home ) on 0900 hours .
Very sweet , warm and dynamic sound with strat neck-pu . With higher output pickups you can get crunch or you have to open the volume-control , output-stage acts a little tube-like
The high-gain mode gives me shreek-pinched-tranny distortion-sounds for about 5 minutes/month ( I play at least 1 hour a day )
I paid 275 Dutch Guldens ( I think it's about 125 box ) , for that price and my needs ( bluesy , riffy and tree-hugging-hippyness it's GREAT ( the 10 is for the low-gain mode ! , for the 5 minutes shreeking a month I give it a 5 )
I don't know how this amp sounds with P90's,(mini)humbuckers or lipsticks ( yeah , or active-pu's )

A very good solid state practice/small club/recording amp for blues and 60's soul/Stax - sound .
It's not a DeluxeReverb or PrincetonReverb but if a Pignose is good DeltaBlues-amp this a very good Stax-amp
