Don't know when it was made, got it secondhand & its in mint cond. it sounds great fingerpicking, strumming & single note stuff.

Sound Quality : 9
I play a tanglewood tw15ns fitted with an lr baggs m1 active pickup (both great pieces of kit). The sound i get is very impressive, very natural & big, like it a lot. My only gripe is the chorus, its thin sounding, i don't use it so it dos'nt bother me much. Its got plenty of volume for a 25watt amp, i reckon it could cope with a small gig, you know in a pub or bar. The bottom line is this is a very good acoustic amp & i definatly recomend that if your looking for a small but quality sounding amp check one out.

Reliability : 9
all i can say is, so far so good.

never had to contact them.

I also play a fender strat but since i got this acoustic set-up its stayed in its case, i'd be gutted if this lot got nicked & i'd wanna kill the little f***** who'd took it, but yes i'd buy one these beauties again if it did happen. I've played other amps and this one holds its own even compared to much more expencive ones.

This little guy is absolutely amazing! I wish it had a headphone jack, and a lineout and/or speaker out. Other than that, this is an amp that is truly better than I had expected!

Sound Quality : 10
I am using a Samick SMJ10CE, which is a Chet Atkins kind of solid body electric/acoustic semi-hollow body nylon string jazz thing! LOLL I play solo finger picking jazz/folk/soft mood music and romantic rock. This amp is absolutely perfect! I am running my guitar through a Zoom 50? for acoustic guitar, and this amp is giving me all of the warmth and mellow sweetness than I could ever want out of any amp, let alone an amp of this size! It is full enough to suggest a much larger amp, and has tone enough to cover just about any musical style. It is clean and smooth! Rarely am I blown away by an amplifier, because after all... All they do is make you louder? Well this little guy is so much more! And it is very light weight and will not cause me to walk funny after carrying it. LOLL

Reliability : 10
I have just gotten it, so I don't know. It appears to be well made however, and I don't expect to have any trouble with it. No amp will work after kicking it down stairs, but under reasonable care, this thing looks like it will out live me. LOLL

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never delt with Ibanez for help before, so I don't know. Like some many companies however, they don't make it easy to contact them. I have tried to get a cover for my amp, but Ibanez doesn't appear to want a customer to contact directly.

Overall Rating : 10
As I said above, I absolutely love this amp! Nothing is perfect in life however, so I should point out that I would look at this amp as being without effects... Simply a clean amp sound. The chorus effect that is built in has kind of a strange hollow sound, and I think that it slightly cuts the bass from the tone. The reverb makes a slight hum when it is turned up, so this could be an issue for some. Using the amp dry however with external effects such as my Zoom, this amp is absolutely wonderful! It sounds much larger than only 25 watts, with all of the bass and rumble you could ever want out of an acoustic amp. Its tone is pure buttery smooth, and I think that it kicks the butt of absolutely anything in its class! Do you have $1200 laying around your house? Will you be playing a 10,00 seat concert hall next week? If so, you would most likely not be as happy with this amp as I am. If you are simply a professional guitar player however, who wants a great sound from an amp that doesn't cost more than your car... I would suggest this amp as being a unbeleivable good choice! I have been playing for too many years beyond 20 than I want to try and remember, and this amp is one of the best purely good sound amplifiers I have seen or heard. It was not designed for the 17 year old who wants to break the people's next door's windows, but it is a solidly professional sounding amp for those who are looking for good solid professional sound.

this little amp is incrediable its rated 25 watts but we did a gig at a hall with 100 people and it held up perfectly with power to spare ...I had a trace elliot ca70r when I a/b tested this amp with the trace I ended up selling the trace...then I tested every acoutic amp I could find and compared it to this one..still the winner! however a note of interest I tried the upgrade models from ibanez like the ta 35 and the 225 and there tone werent quite as rich and warm as this one..its a diamond in the rough get em before people catch on and there price goes up

Reliability : 9
vey well built ...I see no problems

I have 2) TA 25's. Both have had line outs custom installed into
them. I have also replaced the speaker in one because of a slightly
blown cone with a Jensen (similar to the old fender amp speaker has been reissued).

Sound Quality : 10
Simply the finest sounding acoustic guitar amplifier out their.
I play electric, acoustic and dobro through em in a stereo configuration routed by my wireless system to both a clean channel
utilizing an Art multiverb, and a "processed" channel utilizing a
Art SGX 2000 and a Rocktron Pro Gap preamp. I run zero reverb on the
amps when I use the entire rig, but occaisionally still go out with
just a 1/4" chord and a guitar straight through the amp. Still sounds
great! The addition of a Jensen reissue has made the amp noticably
quieter without altering the sound characteristics I liked about the
stock setup. I will probably have the second amp modified in the same
way.

Reliability : 9
We play out 3 times a week or so for the past 2 years. They hold up
well and are dependable.

Overall Rating : 10
Best value and sound in this market.
$20 to have line outs installed have made them close to perfect!

You can see the previous posts for the features of this amp. I love the mic inputs. Great for inpromtu jam's with friends! My kids use it as their voice-box/pa in the garage! The chorus is good but not great...the reverb and equalization controls are close to awesome. I wish it had a headphone jack.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a Alvarez Yairi DY 52 with a Fishman NEO-D pop in pickup mostly. Sometimes I plug in my Strat. This amp is so sweet...the first time I heard it was at the local mom-and-pop guitar store when some salesman was showing a fellow employee how awesome it sounded. I was so impressed thart I bought on as soon as my wife gave me permission! All the cliche's apply....rich, warm, clean and beautiful. I've played through several acoustic amp's and this one just has so much character....

Tebds to give some feedback if you are too close.

Reliability : 10
It is a light weight amp but seems very sturdy. So far so good and It's been cranked!

As long as it's good I'm good!

I love this amp. I've been playing for 35 years and I've owned too many amps to mention...it would get insane. I play blues, bluegrass and country mostly. I was looking for an amp that was portable but still had some punch. This is the one! Great for jamming with friends and good enough tones to mike ehrough a PA for small gigs. It is the perfect house amp for acoustic player. I even love the way my Strat sounds thru it.

Just bought the Ibanez TA25 as I wanted a reasonable amp with good tones that didnt cost a kings ransom. My model made in 2002, with the options mentioned above by the other punters. Enough features for me as not professional player

Sound Quality : 7
Using the amp with a Maton EBG808 artist, The guitar sounds great through the amp, using a feedback buster in front. My main beef is that it has unacceptable level of background hum, that is there if the guitar is plugged in or not. Has it back to the techs. who said it standard for this model. Not really happy with this. Reverb also a little too noisy for my tender ears.

Reliability : 2
Haven't used it long enough to comment

12 month warranty. Looked over it free when I complained of humming

Overall Rating : 7
Play fingerstyle, started classical years back and swapped over. If it was stolen I probably would go elsewhere. I like it clean looks, its light

THE IBANEZ TA-25 WAS SUCH A PLESANT SURPRIZE WHEN I HEARD IT, THAT I BOUGHT IT ON THE SPOT. AS A WRITER AND COMPOSER OF FOLK ROCK AND ROCK THIS LITTLE AMP MADE ME BELIEVE THAT GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES.WE USE THE AMP IN OUR RECORDING STUDIO, WHEN MIKED IT SHINES.I WISH IT HAD A DIRECT OUT PLUS A FOOT PEDAL WOULD HAVE HELPED.

Sound Quality : 9
WE USE TWO MAIN GUITARS IN THE STUDIO A GIBSON J-150 AND AN IBANEZ AE-18. BOTH OF THESE RIGS ARE RUNNING FISHMAN PICKUPS.THE TA-25 HAS A 10 INCH SPEAKER RATED AT 60 WATTS MAX.INCLUDED IT HAS REVERB,CHORUS AND A 3 BAND EQ WITH SWEEPABLE MID FREQ.SO HOW DOES IT SOUND? SWEET JUST SO SWEET.ITS JUST SO WARM AND NATURAL SOUNDING THAT YOUR EARS CANT BELIEVE WHAT YOUR HEARING.

Sounds great......use it for electric and acoustic guitars. Reverb sucks, but I don't really use it. I bought it for its clean, warm sound and the fact that it's very light.

Reliability : 4
I'm writing this review because I just closed up this amp after working on it. I 've owned it for less than a year.....both the reverb pot and middle pot just cut out. It turned out to be cracked solder joints. The style of potentiometer used is very difficult to clean, as well. The transformer broke free from its mountings, so I had to fix that. This amp looks like it was put together very quickly; the components seem delicate and liable to break quite easily. This is a great sounding amp, put if your hauling it around on a daily basis (as I do), I recommend being extra careful with it.

I play flamenco guitar. I tried 6 other amps but could not get the sound I wanted. The best sound I have had in the past was with a good PA system. However, the Troubador is great. It gives me the sound I am after and am well satisfied. It is not heavy and easy to take along on gigs. Plenty of power from a 25 watt unit.

Sound Quality : 10
I am using a cheap stick on mike to the rear of the guitar and it works like a dream. No noise or distortion

It's got plenty of power for what I need...coffeehouses, house parties, etc...small venues. Plus it works well for a small amp, running both a guitar and vocals through one unit. Pretty neat effects but I wish it had a foot switch option for reverb and chorus

Sound Quality : 10
I use an Alvarez classical with a Dean Markley stick and pick (transducer). It puts out a pretty nice mellow classical style sound, but also a neat, twangy electric sound when I want it....even a bit of "tube-like" distortion with a little tweaking. Use it mainly for acoustic original rock/alternative/folk and blues.....kind of a funky combination for a nylon string actually, but it works for me. I've never had to crank it up above 3 or 4 to get plenty of sound out of it

Reliability : 6
It seems reliable so far....no problems after a few gigs...time will tell I guess

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing about 20 yrs, but this is my first experience with an acoustic/electric type set up. I've used Fender and Peavey amps in the past with Fender guitars.....this amp seems to perform as well as anything else I've used, so I'm pretty happy so far. I'd definitely get another if it was stolen....seems to be a very good deal for the price. While nothing is perfect, I'd say it's an ideal starter kit for someone who needs a PA and guitar amp in one unit for small gigs
