I don't have much need for the chorus and so on, but for allot of my flamenco solo's the sound is awesome and with a bit of debth added, it sounds awesome when you're playing stuff with allot of scales in it or tapping allot on the body (flamenco music). It's really awesome for small venues. The sound is soft and gentle even with increased volume.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm using a Oyester pick-up on an Aria flamenco guitar. With flamenco music it really does allot of justice. Naturally, it still howl a bit if you're two close to the amp, but if you set it right and find the right distance to keep from the amp, it sounds beautiful!

Reliability : No Opinion
It has not given me any problems yet.

I don't use this guitar for much other than flamenco solo. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to sound quality and this amp is really kicking *** when it comes to quality. There are no crappy noises coming out of it like most amps I've played on. Really good amp!

I bought this amp a week ago and this thing is worth every penny. It's great for small venues (churches, coffee houses, etc.) If you need more power you can always line out to a PA system. Ibanez has done a great job making an affordable amp for small change. Instument and mic inputs are also a plus. I only wish it came with a cover and a footswitch pedal, but can't complain too much.

Sound Quality : 10
Very clean sound. I am extremely impressed with what comes out of this little baby. I have heard much more expensive amps that carry the tone and clarity of the Ibanez TA35. The chorus and reverb effects are top notch. One word, Awesome!

Reliability : No Opinion
I have not had it for an extended period of time, but all indications that without abuse it should hold up nicely. The 5 year Ibanez warranty also gives me confidence that it will hold up.

I've been paying for over 15 years and I would highly recommend this amp. I would buy another in a sec. I looked at many other amps and being on a budget this was the perfect amp for me. You will not be sorry if you decide to make this your amp also. Get one! Looks like the footswitch is going for around $22.

2006, TA35 35 watt acoustic guitar amp. It has a 3 band EQ, 10 in. speaker, tweeter, brown pleather type tolex & brown grill cloth, Chorus & spring reverb. 1 channel for acoustic guitar and another for mic.

Sound Quality : 9
Nice clean acoustic guitar tone. This little amp is loud enough to jam in a basement setting with my drummer and bass player friends (acoustic tunes of course). The chorus and reverb are both very useful, as they're footswitchable features. I've been playing a Gibson Songwriter acoustic and a Fender 12 string acoustic through it & it gets the job done. I'm using a Dean Markley magnetic soundhole type pickup. It has a bit of noise with the volume up at higher levels, but so did the more expensive Marshall and Fender acoustic guitar amps that I tried out.The Ibanez TA35 sounded cleaner at higher volumes than the Fender Acoustisonic 30 that I had originally planned on purchasing.

Reliability : 10
Ibanez stuff is solid. I've never had any issues with this amp. I also own various Ibanez pedals and guitars, and its been my experience that Ibanez offers excellent tone, value, and reliability.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never had to deal with Ibanez's customer service.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and I've been a fan of Ibanez stuff since the early 80's. Ibanez has always been able to offer great bang for buck. I like that this amp has spring reverb, instead of the more sterile sounding digital reverb. The chorus is fun to kick in, especially when playing my 12 string. I tried out the 30 watt Crate Taos a few weeks ago, and its 8in. speaker made it sound like something farting through a boom box at higher volumes. The Fender Acoustasonic 30, sounded nice to my ears, but no nicer than the Ibanez. The Ibanez actually handled the low end tones of my Gibson acoustic better than the Fender Acoustasonic 30. The mic channel on the TA35 also sounded better than the mic channel on the Fender. I would give the TA35 a 10 out of 10 for sound & value, if it had come with the footswitch, but since I had to buy it separately, I'm deducting a point, as it was a hassle to find the right model footswitch. If you need a reliable + affordable acoustic amp with basic features and enough volume to jam with friends at home, or do small coffee shop type gigs, this is it!

Review below will accurately describe the features. I will emphasize the built in chorus effect that adds to an already great sounding amp.

Sound Quality : 10
This is probably the tenth practice amp I've owned, and the best sounding, although the Marshall lead 12 sounds great and is louder. This amp has a vintage, and fuller sound

Reliability : 10
I have taken this amp accross the eastern U.S. for the last year and a half. In that it has been beat up, and aside from the pleather tearing in a few places. The knobs have held up as well as the electronics. That includes some good falls, and the bumps from a box truck rolling on.

Bought it used

Overall Rating : 10
I have a 70's twin reverb, a super 60. a Marshall JCM2000 , a lead 12 practice amp, a line 6 spider. This amp has it's own sound, or holds its own. A vintage tone with a fullness that the size misleads you from thinking it could. if lost I would buy another again. Good for blues, classic rock, soft rock, jazz etc. not really any crunch, but not its purpose.

2004 TA35 Troubadour solid state combo acoustic amp; 10 inch speaker, I believe. 1 guitar and 1 microphone input; chorus (speed+depth), reverb(depth), input for CD and 'Aux' as well. Treble, bass knobs and midrange knob plus a midrange 'sweep' frequency control knob. Master volume and channel volume are separate. Microphone channel has no chorus. Tilt back cabinet and covered in brown vinyl with good quality grillcloth. Stylish appointments, but it's a budget amp! Good handle is comfortable. Rated: '9' for features for an amp in this price range.

Sound Quality : 9
Very clean sound for an inexpensive amp and adequate volume (rated 35 watts) with some adjustments if you prefer more master and less cannel, and the reverse. Chorus is adequate, not awesome. Good reverb. A little hum, but not annoying. Delivers a good reproduction of the acoustic guitar. I play a K&K Sound 'Pure Western' equipped Gibson LC2 Sonoma (ditched the shabby Schertler BlueStick) and a Martin 000-C with Fishman prefix (undersaddle; no mike). Both sound accurately reproduced, yet the 'Pure Western' is one of the best ($75-90) bridgeplate pickups available, so it is more 'woody'. Have not miked these guitars, but each is very good acoustically IF YOU GET A GOOD ONE! There are nice ones and very good ones; play several. Remember: no contact or undersaddle pickup can deliver what a good microphone can, but this amp does a very good job with it's speaker and electronics.

I will consider replacing the speaker in a few months if I plan to keep the amp. First I need to find out what is in it so I have an idea of what to choose.

Reliability : 9
5 year warranty and Ibanez enjoys a good reputation for value in all its products. It's all solid state, so little to go bad. I'll rate it '9' based on my experience with their other stuff (Tube Screamer, guitars, appearance of this amp).

5 year warranty.

I have a DrZ Maz38 (1X12), a '71 Prnceton Reverb silverface w. the new "Ragin' Cajun" 10" Eminence(!), and a Weber VST outfitted Vibro Champ silverface. These are all excellent amps, but for an acoustic guitar, the DrZ actually is the best (12" Celestion and excellent point to point build quality). But it's heavy and the Ibanez is easy to transport and cheap to buy. I rate the TA35 Troubadour a "10" because it is an excellent value. I played the Fenders (2 sizes of Acoustasonics) and the SWR Blondes, Trace Elliot. They are very nice, but too expensive. At $220, this is well made, sounds very good, looks good, tilts back, and has fairly good options.
