Ibnez amps have always been simple and to the point. Thats the way it should be!! When Im on stage, the last thing I want is to hve to messing with 15 pots to get what i want. The mesa's and marshall s nowadays have way to many knobs.

Sound Quality : 9
Honestly, I dont know why there are people out there that think marshalls are gods and ibanezes suck. What are they thinking. I know ALOT of poeple with Ibanez heads and cabs, and i know a bunch wiht marshalls, well the ibanezes out do the marshalls any day of the week. This amp sounds sick! It isnt for country, but if you're in to punk, hard rock, hardcore, metal, anything with something outher than blues distortion, this is the amp to get for the money. It is crazy loud, yet full and not tinny like a marshall. It doesnt grind and have the feedback that anything but the high end marshalls have. Seriously, this thing doesnt sound great with a strat, but stick an ibanez, jackson, schecter, dean, prs, les paul, sg, or something thick, in front of this and its like heaven in a package. The only thing better than this is a mesa or Splawn.

Reliability : 10
These things are bomb proof. My amp keeps going nomatter how much crap it goes through. I put diff metal corners on it, but aside from that (thats only like $4), these at last any of the average marshalls or peaveys, or behringer.

Customer Support : 9
Ibanez is great, i havnt dealt with them for this amp, but i have had some contact with them for my tube screamer, and they are courtious and get the ball rolling.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for 9 yrs, the first five or so were all fender stuff b/c my unc only plays fender and I started out using his extra stuff. if this were stolen, id buy it again, cept i might go for the new TBX150watt stuff just cuz that extra 50 watts gives me more head room.

Bought it this year...A LOT more features than my Blues Junior or TB25R. Got 2 channels, which is really pointless, but I'll get to that later. I use this for bedroom playing, and I am going to use it for practices and gigs, DEF loud enough, haha. Presence control, and footswitchable reverb are nice too.

Sound Quality : 8
Clean: Good enough to do blues, country, you name it....

Clean w/Distortion Pedal: Anything from OD Blues, to Death Metal...and yes, I DO play all those styles. The clean is good enough to shine with a distortion. I use this with a Boss MT-2, and an Ibanez SZ520....great....Transparent and natural.

Distortion: Built in? TOTAL CRAP. Sounds REALLY fuzzy and gritty....I guess it's ok if you like that sound, but very poor quality, I would've preferred 2 clean channels...

Volume: SERIOUSLY loud, loud enough to rattle your ears with gain @ 5 and Volume @ five (on clean channel)

Just a note, u gotta push it a little to get a good sound out of it...if it's too quiet it won't sound good...which is the case with most amps.

The EQ is really sensitive, it's active so it boosts or cuts the frequency by 17 db (think it's db)this makes it very tweakable, and possible to get a lot of diff sounds....

Reliability : No Opinion
My TB25R has held up like a champ, and I expect this one to as well...it 's REALLY heavy, and solidly built.

I've been playing for 5 years, if this were stolen or lost, I'd prolly build myself a Brown-Note Tube amp kit, but maybe not...I'd like to get a 4x12 for this thing to get that "half stack sound". If you're looking for an amp that is cheap, and pretty much all it does is make you louder, then this is the amp for you. No Magic box superamp, no cheezy effects, or fake models, just nice, clean volume.

TB100R, I think I got this amp in 2000.
100 solid state watts, head phone jack, effects loop 2 channels (clean and distorted), and a footswitch that turns reverb on and off and a boost. The boost lightly distorts the clean channel and makes the distortion channel louder. The boost is really nice to have built in and the two channels have independent controls for the reverb which is REALLY nice. No onboard effects or anything like that.

Sound Quality : 7
I use this with an Ibanez Artcore AM-73 and a Fender Standard Telecaster to play emo and pop punk. This is basically a 400 dollar amp and you get what you pay for. The clean channel is pretty good, but definetly not "Fender Clean" like some people have said. The distortion on the amp is a little muddy, and it feeds back really badly if the gain is turned up past seven or so. The reverb on the amp is also just okay, it's not too noticeable unless you just hit the strings without playing anything though. It's a good sounding amp for the price so it gets a seven.

Reliability : 10
I've used it in all three of the bands I've been in and until recently it's worked pretty well. It doesn't cut through during practice that well but I put it on top of a little table to fix that problem. I'd say it's VERY reliable as I have actually dropped the amp three or four times and scratched the crap out of it. Recently I think I blew it out a bit though because it can't get as loud as it used to. It still works for gigs and practices though, and is more then loud enough for solo playing.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't dealt with them and wouldn't know. I think it had a two year warranty.

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing guitar for about four and a half years and I think this amp is great for beginning and intermediate guitarists. In terms of loudness you'd never really need to upgrade, but I'd like better tone so I'm about to buy a Fender Hot Rod Deville 410. But a Deville 410 is 800 dollars and this one is half that. I'd definetly recommend it for most rock styles if you're on a budget. It's a pretty average amp, so 7 again.

Clean and Gain channels. Reverb on both. Footswitch included - has boost, channel, mid shift, and reverb. One effect loop with a presence knob. 100 Watt Solid State.

Sound Quality : 5
I use an ESP EC-1000 with EMG's. I play a lot of different styles, mainly metal and post-rock. It's fairly noisy on the distortion channel, and very very noisy with the reverb on, on either channel. It's not so bad while you're playing though. The clean channel is very clean and you can get a lot of great tones out of it. The distortion channel just isn't good for me. Simple as that. I can't find any good settings on it...but other people seem to like it? I don't know...Maybe it's just not suited for me. Try it before you buy it...I'll give it a five because the cleans good and the dist' isn't.

And of course, since it's 100 watts, it can get pretty damn loud.

Reliability : 7
I wouldn't gig with it because I don't like the way it sounds...but it's never had any problems about not working. The plug from the amp to the outlets doesn't all the time, if it's not in just right it will cut out a little. Not that big of a deal, I guess. Probably would cause problems live. Maybe I'm unlucky :(

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 6
I've been playing about 3 years. If it were stolen I don't think I'd buy it again...I'd save my money and get something better. I love the clean channel, it's great. The reverb sounds really good, just a bit noisy.

Independant Clean/Gain channels, 4 button pedalboard included, Boost-Channel Switch-MidShift(For cranking out some Metallica sounds as opposed to straight gain)-Reverb. I use it at home, no car so I can't exactly lug it over to my buddy's house...

Sound Quality : 8
I use a stock Ibanez RG1570 and a ESP EX100 with Dimebucker in the bridge, through a Planet Waves straight into the amp. It gives very nice clean settings, the reverb is a nice touch, I don't use it often though. Gain setting is a little difficult to configure right if you're going for a Megadeth/Metallica/Iced Earth tone that I go for. But all in all, once you spend some time at the knobs, it works out good.

Reliability : 10
Oh hell yeah it's reliable. Very simple, very good tone, hasn't broken on me, though all it does is sit in my room, but I know some amps that that'd be too much for! I've actually fallen on it and dropped various weight-worthy items upon it, and nothing has happened to it, very dependable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with Ibanez personally, never had to! The quality is astounding, Ibanez is pretty much *my main brand* so, go figure there. It has a lifetime warranty however, so if one of your fatter buds fell on it, it's covered!

Overall Rating : 10
I've played for 2 years so far, I spend much free time in various shops, and, for this price, it doesn't get any better than this here. A perfect beast for pretty much any settings in which a person would want to use it.

Features mentioned before hand. I love the reverb control on BOTH channels

Sound Quality : 8
I use (mostly) an Ibanez S1520 on the amp, and use it primarily for a clean tone, I use a Peavey 5150 for distortion. I also use it as a practice amp (since the 5150 is a bit large and lacks a very CLEAN sounding clean tone, however i do use the Peavey's clean for those crunchy and choppy rhythm parts). The clean tone sounds WONDERFUL on this amp. Pretty much get it to do whatever you need. The distortion is pretty decent sounding (not through the preamp though, ugly), especially w/ the mid-boost controls. Took a while to carve out a sound I liked, but I'm pretty happy with it. Only real fallback though, is the reverb is very noisey. Not a problem at a stage volume, but for practicing at low volumes, reverb is a no go.

Reliability : 9
I've only had it for about a month, but I have gigged with it and haven't really had any problems except for the front mesh not sticking back onto the velcro as well as it should have.

Customer Support : 8
I've never had a problem with Ibanez, but I've been using the company's products for years and they've always been very dependable and very helpful. Not perfect, definately not Peavey (when it comes to support service), but very helpful.

Overall Rating : 9
Good amp. If it were stolen, I'd definately pick one up. I mean a brand new 100 watt 2x12 combo w/ a great sounding clean tone and a really good distortion for under $400? You bet!!! Only a few minor things that could be improved, but overall it's by far the best bang for your buck I've come across.

Brand new amp. My first Solid State since 79'. Good overall features for its price range

Sound Quality : 7
I play modern rock covers. Good sound at lower volumes but it has trouble getting good sounding gain at stage volume. The closed back works well though, this amp will push air in the right direction when needed.

Reliability : 10
Too new to tell but it is solid state, right?

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to call

26 years playing has made me overly critical. I ended up using a high end processer through the clean channel and it sounds great. I recommend this for the older guys that are tired of gigging with a 60# tube head and a 90# cabinet. If it blew up I would fix it.

2003 model. If you're reading these reveiws, then you already know what features these amps have. But, the cool thing about this amp is the fact that it basically has 5 channels. The clean, the crunch/lead boost on the clean, the overdrive, the midshift on the overdrive, and then the boost. I think that fact is quite overlooked when reviewing this model. You can play just about any style without any other pedals or setup...just about. Between the channels, their morphs when the switch's are used, and an adjustment or 2 on the guitars volume and pickups, and the possibilities are endless. It is quite loud as well.

Sound Quality : 8
I've been playing for over 15 years, and for most of that time, I played ADA and Peavey. Over the last 4 years, I have been buying and trying numerous different amps, pedals, and guitars. I currently play Ibanez guitars, and have almost exclusively. I have the new JetKing model, as well as an S520. Both sound good throught the amp, but strangely, the JetKing with weaker pickups sounds a bit crunchier. I play Heavey rock, classic rock, and new country. I have been on tour with this amp all this last year, and for the most part it holds up ok(more below). Tones are good, but truthfully, it doesn't really have anything special or out of the ordinary as far as the "New Sound" is concerned. They market it as the amp for Nu-Metal, but it really sounds like any other amp out there as far as I'm concerned. I've had the opportunity to play a lot of amps, and yes I have played Marshal and Mesa...B.F.D...who cares. If you're stupid enough to go and pay thousands for a name, just because everyone else is, then be my guest. But, if you want a tone as good as anything else, then the TB100R is just as good as the next, only YOU ACTUALLY CAN AFFORD IT!

Reliability : 5
I had this on the road for about 2 weeks, and every,...EVERY one of the black washers on the screws that hold the chassis in, cracked on fell off. They are cheap shitty plastic! I can't believe that they put this kind of crap on this thing. If it's just going to sit in you're room, then you're probably ok, but if it's going to be gigging, you'd better replace all the plastic washers with metal. Also, the caster shafts are rather weak. Bent one of them from a little pressure from an amp rack. Also, the covering rips VERY easily.

Customer Support : 7
I've delt with Ibanez over the years for numerous reasons, but not with this amp. Most times they get back to you, but getting a direct answer the first time around,...just not in the cards.

Overall Rating : 10
As I said, nothing particularly special, but overal, a nice amp for the price.

Well I use this amp with several guitars from a Ibanex EDR470EX which has custom EMG's to a 1956 Gibson Les Paul, Hell they all sound awesome... The overdrive channel is powerfull and crisp very nice modern sound and the clean setting is just the best i have heard. I have used marshalls and peavey in the past but somthing told me to take a look at this thing and as soon as i plugged the baby in i was like WOW! this beats both Marshall and Peavey whats going on, so all my old amps have retired now and i use this as my main amp. Both clean and distortion are bright and clear at very high levels but i have only had this baby past 5 mark once and let me tell you for a 120w amp it is Loud, Very very Loud!! I think this amp can manage anysound from Steve Vai to B.B King its got it all, Truly amazing.

Reliability : 10
I would put my life on this amp it is built soild as a rock have had no problems with it and i have gigged with it many times onlything i have to watch is that the volume dont creep to high cause it may cause some ear damage.

Customer Support : 10
I have dealt with ibanez in the past top quality service.

Overall Rating : 10
I,ve been playing over 30 years now and i have a large collection of amps and this is a very close second to my Vox AC30 but hey its close. I love everything about this amp from its sound to its looks, I would recomend it for anyone from studants to profesionals. GO OUT AND BUY ONE , OR EVEN TRY ONE and you will know what i mean, you will be hooked on this new breed amp with its ultra modern sound.
