Two channels (clean and distortion), headphone and MP3/CD jack, pretty awesome for practice, louder than it looks.

Sound Quality : 8
I play an Ibanez MTM1 and an Epiphone Les Paul, use it for playing metal and rock, the amp itself creates great clean or distorted sound, sounds kinda weird when using distortion pedals (rating 8 because of this), it gets pretty loud after 7-8,
I personally love the distortion of this one.

Excellent for a begginer/practice amp.

Reliability : 10
It has fallen a ciuple of times and still works awesome. Built like a tank, strongly reliable.

No.

I've been playing for 3 years, my gig amp is a Mesa Roadking 4x12, too loud for practice so I got this one, really good amp.

If it got lost, i'd buy another one, maybe a little bigger, but the same Tone Blaster line.

I love almost everything about it, awesome sound for practice, I wish it would work better with pedals.

Overall, a great amp.

I've had mine for about 4 years or so. I have to say it is the perfect little practice amp for jamming and composing if you live in an apartment with ***** neighbors like I do. No need to go into the features except that I wish the headphone jack was speaker emulated and wish I could use a foot switch for the channels...just for convenience.

Sound Quality : 10
Here's the funny thing I find with guitars and amps. I own two 7-string Schecters: a Damien with active EMG's and a 007 Elite with passive DiMarzios. Also, my live rig is a 100 watt all tube half stack and I have used both guitars on both amps. What I find is that this Ibanez solid state amp sounds way better with the EMG's than the DiMarzios and, conversely, the Tube amp sounds better with the passive pickups than the actives. It's odd to me but the Ibanez amp seems to really come to life when I use my EMG loaded guitar. Sustain, harmonics, warmth and power are all there. But with the DiMarzios(which are high output D Activators) the amp seems really dull and dry. It's really weird.
But I really love this amp with the right guitar. The clean is sweet at almost any EQ setting. The Distortion is great too although I try not to put the gain up past 6.5 or it does take away from the definition. Instead I turn the bass knob up to get nice fat chunk out of the muted chords and set the mid and high at 12 o'clock to round off the high-end edge for a nice warm sound that still cuts in leads.
The reverb is good in my opinion but I've never been a fan of overwhelming effects. It gives an audible tail-decay effect while adding resonance to the body of the note. There is actually a real spring inside the amp but it is small so the effect is subtle (unless you crank the knob..but I wouldn't)
I don't think I'd compare this amp to any classic amp tones but I'd definitely chose this over a Line 6 or a Crate. It has a great tone for shred and can even get pretty loud for such a small thing.

Reliability : 10
I used to have the 50watt version of this amp but it finally burned out on me after like 10 years. The reason amps like this are good is because usually they last you a long while and by the time they burn out you can afford to replace it.

I've been playing guitar for about 14 years now and in all this time I've never really bought into the whole "amps should sound this way or that way" thinking. I tend to stay away from the so-called "classics" like Marshall and Mesa because they can't help but sound like a Marshall or a Mesa. I like amps that offer a wide range of sounds so I can find one that feels good to me. And for a practice amp this Ibanez is definitely one of those kinds of amps. Marshall MG series amps SUCK and so do most Crates. Line 6 is cool sometimes for the features it has but I've always heard they break easily. For the money this is one of the best little solid states I've seen.

Two chanel 15W practice amp with nice true spring reverb

Sound Quality : 9
Clean chanel is very good, overdriven chanel is too noisy.
I have compare this amp with Marshall MG15DFX, and what results do you think ? MG15DFX - REALY SUXX on clean and much better on overdrive, but its DFX kill sound absolutely! So for home practice it is the very good amp, it has much better sound than Marshall MG15 and cost less.

it's a good amp. to be just 15w....good to play any style

usable overdrive but too noisy if you use it with much gain, the clean channel sounds warm i like it..more than i expected to a small and not expensive amp.

this amp. can resist hard use....

Everybody has said it, no need to repeat again. I am giving a 7 because you can't control the CD input volume.

Sound Quality : 6
Clean channel is OK. Bass is too heavy and a little muddy, and treble is too sharp and slim, some kind of girlish shrieking. They mix out to make a digitalized tone. BUT, this happens only when I use a pedal before it to get distortion. When playing real clean sound, for example using an acous/elec, or clean from an electric guitar, the sound is somehow really good, especially with the reverb turned to full. Fantasy like.

Then you might ask why the hell do I use a pedal. The answer is: the gain channel of this amp is really bad. I can't feel the gain at first, and when I turn the gain knob more the sound suddenly gets torn up. Feels like a harsh splitting of the sound. That's no good for lead, and for rhythm, no way to get crunch at all. Plus, the volumn of gain channel is low, even with gain/volumn both at full.

To make it short: nice clean, lousy distortion.

Reliability : 9
For smaller gigs I use it as monitor for my part. It looks and feels solid.

Customer Support : 9
Haven't dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 7
Been playing guitar for 7 years and spent 2 years on this amp. At first I thought it not bad but I have grown over of it now. Plugged a Washburn dual humbucker, a Fender strat, a Guitar Research 3 single coils crap, and a Fender dual humbucker on this amp, and the amp tells out difference. By this means, it's OK to be a practice amp.

I am not willing to compare it to those stacks in studio, but by comparing with a Fender 15W amp (some old model, not the current Frontman 15) of my friends, this Ibanez is worse.

If it got lost I would not buy again, like I said, I outgrew it.

Tone stack, switchable channels, overdrive, CD input, headphone jack. The reverb is a nice touch, but it's not a very impressive amp. 15W is way more than you need for practice, this amp can easily give you hearing damage with the volume turned down to 2. If 15W isn't loud enough for your gigs, you are probably earning enough money to get a good amp. For those of you not convinced that it's loud enough, 15W is only 5 db below 50W.

Sound Quality : 3
Using a Fender fat strat. The clean channel is harsh, adding nothing to the signal from your guitar. The overdrive channel ranges from light clipping to industrial to mush, not much to work with (unless you like clipping distortion). There is also a fair bit of noise on the overdrive channel, even after I shielded my strat. The tone examples in the manual are a joke. The headphone output sounds worse than the speaker, I'm guessing that any good coloration the amp's giving is coming from the speaker. I do like the spring reverb, very old skool (big matter of taste though, you might not like spring reverb).

Reliability : 9
Feels very durable, no problems. Jacks are snug, never had a problem with connections except if I move it around a lot the power cable will come a bit loose -- not a problem.

If you need an amp for cheap, this is it. It won't sound good, but you're not going to find anything better in its price range and it is durable. I mostly use it to tune my guitar now, I'll probably sell it and build myself a P1.

Solid state, 2 channels, EQ, spring reverb. Pretty much your basic practice/bedroom amp.

Sound Quality : 8
Im using a MIM Strat. This amp is really versatile for a small practice amp. You can play just about any style you want with it. The reverb isnt amazing but it holds its own. Oh yeah, it has an EQ that actually works!

Reliability : 10
When I bought it I was going to buy a Fender Frontman when the guy in the store stopped me and suggested the ToneBlaster 15R, he said that every year they get about 20 of the fenders back and about 2 of the ibanez. He was right this thing is built like a tank and has served me well.

Never needed it.

Ive used alot of 15 watt amps in the price range and this one takes the cake.

It sounds good and it produces a warm sound. It's a versatile amp and can be played with almost every style. It's clean tone is very clear and the dirty tones can get really dirty.

No complaints yet!

Never dealt with Ibanez before

It's a great amp for it's asking price. I tried it on Behringer GX-108 Firebird and the features and sound of Ibanez Tone Blaster 15R is better. I love the reverb!

I bought this little monster for $140, made in 2001-2 I think. Its a cool little sturdy amp, and it will take a beating. Trust me on that... =D The overdrive is alright, but dont turn your gain up too high or alll you'll get is noise. The reverb is nice too... and it has a headphone jack and a CD input.

Sound Quality : 8
I use an Epiphone G-310 SG guitar, H-H config. I play mostly metal, tho theres a bit of rock, and some otehr slower stuff... it sounds great... it's also extremely loud for its size. If you have a noisy neighbour and cant spend much, this amp will make em shut up. the distortion is so brutal after 7 or so, it becomes noise.

Reliability : 10
Heck, i'd even use it as a weapon. It has never broken down... and i doubt it will anytime soon.

None...

Overall Rating : 8
What i love about it is its warm nice sound. You can get the soft warm sounds you want for certain songs, or the hard, crazy distortion for other songs all fromt his amp. i compared this amp to a Rocktron, and Ibanez will pick up the rocktron, chew on it and spit it out.

2 channels (switched by a push button), 15W into 8" speaker, closed back cabinet, reverb, 3 band eq, CD input (no volume adjustment), headphone out. Give it a 9 because there is no effects loop.

Sound Quality : 8
I use a Fernandes strat copy with this amp. The sounds are very good considering that this is a small solid state amp. The amp itself is surprisingly heavy and well built. It has a closed back and this makes the bass stand out. The EQ is active (unusual in this price range) and therefore gives a lot of control (I have to turn down the bass quite a bit). It can get pretty loud - if you are using this inside a room, you will not need to go over 4/10.
Low gain sounds great but higher gain sounds are not that usable. The reverb also gets noisy over 5/10.

Reliability : 9
The amp appears well built and has not given any trouble in the one year that I have had it (it has never left my room though).

I bought this as a "beginner's amp", but I don't see any reason why this should be replaced unless I have to play at a large gig (ha!). This amp beats any other amp in the sub-$100 price range in terms of sound and features. I only wish it had an effects loop and the cabinet was slanted (these combo amps are so small, that tilting them really helps with the sound projection).
