25w x 25w. 2 10 inch "power jam" speakers. stereo chorus. headphone jack. efx loop. didnt come with footswitch. clean, dist, and crunch channel. Not a whole lot to work with.

Sound Quality : 2
i use and ibanez rg-350 dxqm and a hamer standard. sounds like crap! Chorus is very faint and weak. reverb is very weak also. clean channel is ok but not very clear. distortion channel is not very heavy and is very muddy and un-responsive.

Reliability : 3
when i first took it out of the box the cabinet was broke (cheap particle wood). there was even some screws missing. very light weight and bulit like crap.

Customer Support : No Opinion
ibanez is awsome when it comes to guitars but this amp blows and i would'nt even bother sending in a warranty. the warrenty is very exclusive and anal.

Overall Rating : 2
there is a million other amps that i would have rather bought for this price. it is literally a $120.00 amp and they just must have been drunk when thethought up the price.....or there just getting greedy.

easy to use feature.........Stereo, chorus, reverb, 2 channel, low watt for great distortion at low volume. Even a dang head phone jack ! would be a 10 if it had a low and hi watt switchable preamp....but i guess not really needed if your running through a decent PA system. 9 1/2.

Sound Quality : 10
This amp is the greatest low watt amp i ever heard. BUT.....the chorus must be ON ! with the chorus on, it give the amp an awesome sound. Nice cleans, great distortion....and great at low volumes unlike their 100 watt head brothers and cousins out there. Heavy distortion all the way to crisp cleans! Doesn't get stadium loud, but pretty loud for 25 watts X 2. Perfect for recording too !!

Reliability : 10
had for a year now......no probs !

Customer Support : No Opinion
never needed support yet.

Overall Rating : 9
The Greatest low watt low volume amp ! perfect for apartments or whinny neibors. awesome recording sound, sexy chorus, BIG distortion, nice crisp cleans, and reverb to go along. I've been playing 7 years and own (or have) 5150,marshall 50watt,XXX,Bandit,ampeg 100watt,vox. If it was stolen i would buy one in a heartbeat!! if it had a switchable hi and low watt preamp, it would be the perfect amp for me.

made in 2000...or something, solid state...i dont think theres any ibanez tube amps. im guessing its an older model because it has a green switch instead of an orange one like the new ones have. I play everything from old metallica to smashing pumpkins to nirvana to godsmack and this amp can handle them all. comes with 2 channels, footswitchable clean and dirty, with a crunch button on the clean. reverb and a FSable chorus (NICE!). i actually run both my mic AND my guitar through this amp (i know...not a good idea, but im working on getting a PA so BACK OFF!) and both can be heard clearly even with the others playing.

Sound Quality : 9
I am currently using an ibanez GAX 70 (which i LOVE) and my current project guitar a epi LP junior with gibson tuners and SH6 in the one and only humbucker slot. This baby can do anything. country to piss your pants metal this thing will deliver. the clean isnt very deep but its clean even with it cranked all the way. i dont use the distortion on it because it gets noisy at high vols so i use a boss MT2 through the clean and its good.

Reliability : 9
well since its my only amp right now i guess i have no choice but to rely on it. but it hasnt pooped out yet, even with all the shit i put it through. im getting a randall rh100 half stack soon and the ibanez will prolly end up being my backup, or my PA, or my clean amp and switch between them...i dont know but i like it a whole lot better than the shitty peavy combo i used to have.

Customer Support : No Opinion
ibanez makes some sturdy shit cuz i havent had to call em ONCE!

Overall Rating : 9
ive been playing for about 5 years and i dont plan on ever selling this amp. if it were stolen not only would i track down who stole it and beat the bejesus out of the person and cut off his egg roll but i would also keep his name in my wallet so when he dies i can piss on his grave. very nice amp with a very nice price tag. =)

I got this amp about 2 years ago. at first it was the best amp i had invested in...at first. It could crank, it was smooth. the reverb is very natural and the chorus rocks.

Sound Quality : 6
I play just about every kind of music, except country. But once it goes up half way it gets really clicky and static like, no matter what im playing. but it sounds good when its not being pushed...

Reliability : 5
as i said, i had this amp for 2 years and its still working...but falling apart. the knobs all fell off and i had to glue them back on and the volume knob is half working...kind of a dissapointment.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 7
a good temporary solution to a lack in sound level. very good for recording and such. but i never used it for a live gig because of the volume problem.

Features : 10
this amp was made in 2002. I play everything from classical to heavy metal. this amp is extremely versatile for its cost. it has two distinct channels with individual settings for both. it has chanel switching, and effects loop, headphone jack, and footswitch port. I bought it for about $300 American. The only thing wrong wrong with this amp is that it does not come (stock) with a foot pedal. It is a stereo 2x10 (powerjam) combo amp. this thing has everything i need for a rich deep sound, or a pounding solo.

Sound Quality : 10
Currently, I am using this amp in conjunction with an American made Peavey Predator with neck and center pickups (stock) and a PAF PRO bridge pickup. this amp fits my style very well, and its price is perfect. it is a very quiet amp even when i have my computer monitor on. the amp comes with a crunch (on clean mode only) and a chorus (both modes) the crunch is not footswitchable, but I have never needed it to be. the clean channel stays crisp all the way to the top, and the distortion sounds as evil as it gets on low or high volume.

Reliability : 10
I can and have (in the past) depended on this amp to carry me through a gig--it has shown every time i have used it. it is a solid state amp with an open back. it has never let me down and is a very study model. i dont think i could destroy this thing without outside help.

Customer Support : 10
i have never had to call the company (Ibanez). Their registration process is online as well, so I didnt even have to worry about filling out the reg form. i believe the warrenty was for 5 years (limited).

Overall Rating : 10
i have been playing for about 8 years (4 hours a day--no interuptions). if it were lost i would buy a new one in a heart beat. i compared this amp to just about every amp on the market that sells for 200-400 american dollars. this one played the best. all i wish it had was that foot pedal (mentioned earlier)

The TB225C is a 2x10, 50 watt, (25 watts per channel), stereo chorus amp. It features: 2 channels, each with it's own 3 band EQ and level controls, reverb, master volume, 'crunch' effect on the clean side, rate/speed controls for the chorus, 2 10" Ibanez Power Jam speakers rated at 60 watts each, and plugins for headphones, effects loop, and footswitch, (there is no external speaker jack). The channels and chorus are the only items that are footswitchable.
This amp is 100% solid state, including the reverb effect. It comes with a 5 year warranty and the footswitch IS NOT included with the amp, it must be purchased seperately.
As far as appearance goes, it comes with a carrying strap which is suitable for it's weight, the cabinet is covered in a somewhat thin black naugahyde, and the speaker grill is a grey cloth. The control face is black with white lettering and dial markings. The controls are grouped logically and are easily accessible, although the dials/buttons themselves are a bit small.
I have owned two of these amps. The first I bought in May of 2001, and the second I got in July of 2002, (which I still have), both were purchased new. I bought this model of amp for practice and jamming with friends. For these purposes, it does a decent job.
For an amp in this price range, I was generally happy with the features that it has. Everything I would use, and nothing that I wouldn't. However, there are two features that I wished it did have: that being the ability to use the footswitch to control the reverb and the crunch effects.

Sound Quality : 8
I have used two guitars with this amp, a Yamaha Pacifica 112 and a Brawley A-124 Ltd. I will briefly address how it worked with the Brawley because a major weak point was found. The Brawley has 2 Custom Alnico humbuckers in it. These pickups are really hot, (high output). Due to this, the Brawley pushes the amp and this Ibanez DOES NOT like to be pushed! It didn't matter if it was the clean channel or overdrive, low or high volume, the amp simply couldn't handle it.
The Yamaha was a very different story. This guitar has a 1-1-2 pickup configuration in it and are stock. The styles of music that I've played thru this amp have ranged from Styx, Bad Co, Springsteen, to Megadeth, Metallica to Tesla, Creed, and older Van Halen.
Before I get too far into this, let me tell you one thing: If you're looking for this amp to provide that low, crunching metal sound, (Randall or MesaBoogie), you'll be disappointed. It won't do it. If, however, you're looking for that vintage-type distortion with decent tone definition and a little 'bite', then keep reading. Remember, the following is playing on a Yamaha Pacifica 112, NOT the Brawley A-124.
Clean Channel: This side gave a full, natural sounding tone. The 3 band EQ worked quite well thru each one's respective range. The 'crunch' effect really gave the blues-type of edge. It never distorted, even at very high volume, although I seemed to notice a slight degradation of it's tone, especially regarding the bass response, (possibly the speakers?).
Overdrive Channel: Pretty good for a Vintage tyoe of sound. The 3 band EQ worked, but needs improvement with regards to the bass and treble. I got a good treble response only after turning it all the way up and as for the bass, well it never got to the level I was looking for. With the bass and treble all the way up and the middle turned just a hair above all the way down, I was able to get a somewhat heavy metal, (Metallica) sound out of it. But like I stated before, this is NOT a metal amp. Randall or Mesa is better suited for the metal sound. Older Van Halen, 3 Doors Down, Creed, Tesla, etc. sounded pretty decent, though. The distortion does have a tendency to degrade at very high volume. For practice, this won't matter, (the volume has to be pretty high), but for gigging, this would be problematic unless you mic it to keep the amp volume down.
Stereo Chorus: In my opinion, this is the highlight of the amp. You knew when it was on and when it wasn't just by the sound. Worked equally well on either the Clean or Overdrive channels. The speed/depth controls were very good tailoring the effect.
Reverb: This effect is not a spring reverb, and is one of the amp's weak points. Even when turned up to max., it doesn't get to a appreciable level. If you like a 'light' reverb effect, it will do; but if you're looking for a 'heavier' effect, it won't deliver.
Power: It has ample power for what I do with it. 25 watts per channel is respectable. Turn it up and it comes alive. Turn it up too much, though, and the problems I mentioned start to appear. But overall, the speakers are well matched to this amp and handle most of what's dished out.

Reliability : 8
This amp is 100% solid state. No tubes to mess with. I've never had a problem with the amp internally and the speakers have held up despite being pushed every now and then. The only thing I've had to do is tighten up the screws for the carrying strap as they were getting lose. The cabinet covering could be thicker to withstand minor bumps and abrasions better. It is much too thin to provide adequate protection. As far as gigging without a backup, I believe it's better to be safe than sorry. Any piece of equipment could work flawlessly 100 times, but then there's that 101st time that can bite you in the ass. And who needs that?

Customer Support : No Opinion
As I stated in the 'Features' section, this amp comes with a 5 year limited warranty. I've never had to use it on either TB225C I've owned. Consequently, I've never dealt with the company, so I can't give any insight on what level of Customer Support there is.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing off and on for over 15 years. I tend to favor the heavier music, but I do dabble with other styles, I don't focus on just one type of music. Currently, my gear includes: Yamaha Pacifica 112, Brawley A-124 Floyd Rose Ltd., ESP EX-100, Randall RG100SC 2x12 Celestion Combo, and the Ibanez TB225C.
The Ibanez is good for what I bought it for: practice and rehearsals. Here again, it's not a metal amp, (that's what the Randall is for), but nevertheless it does do a decent, respectable job and is versatile for most types of musical styles. I've never had a problem with it. If you're looking for a solid state amp that has good tone definition, on-board reverb and chorus effects, and is something better, (more powerful), than most of the practice amps out there, then you should check this one out.
Be sure to look for my reviews for the: Brawley A-124 Ltd., Randall RG100SC, and ESP Ex-100 on this site in the near future.

The chorus is very clean and cool. The distortion channel is kinda muddy. But the clean and crunch are very clear and crisp. I love this amp. I play an Ibanez (ya i know, ibanez freak). Very nice amp. Very easy to start playing from the get go. I wish it had more bottom end. If you turn the bass up it gets really muddy but if you turn it down it gets kinda tinny.

Sound Quality : 8
Im using an Ibanez(cant remember model right now). I play metal. Tool, Metallica, Pantera. I use a Boss MT so i usually dont use the built in distorion. The built in ditortion gets a little noisy when turned up all the way. About halfway is good enough for an AC/DC sound. I dont use the clean channel. Its pretty quiet, i like the crunch because it has more bite. Really nice amp actually.

Reliability : No Opinion
Hmnmm....my only amp so i would have to use it in a gig without backup. I used it once and it sounds really good. It hasnt stopped working on me yet. not a whoel lot i can say here

havent had to deal with them. 1 tear warranty. built like a rock so i dont think ill be using it anytimem soon.

Overall Rating : 10
I love this amp. I would probably get a marshall though. This is a great amp for someone looking for stereo chorus, 2 12" amps(im pretty sure). And 3 channels. I wish it had more bottom end at higher volumes though.

This is the Ibanez 225 Toneblaster stereo/chorus.
Has tons of features - the main reason why I bought it. Has "clean" and "overdrive" as well as a "crunch" effect (kind of an internal overdrive) and a "chorus" setting. Knob settings for bass, middle and treble for each channel as well as reverb.

Sound Quality : 5
I'm giving it a five here, but I want to explain. If you are looking for a "metal" or hard rock amp that plays LOUD and heavy, as well as being affordable, this rating would be more like a nine. However, I prefer a cleaner sound with more individual string seperation and a deeper reverb. I play Strats, and the sound of this amp is kind of like the difference between Strats and Ibanez/Les Paul guitars - this is an amp that wants to be played loud and heavy. It's very good at that, but just not what I was looking for.

Reliability : No Opinion
Only had it a few months, but it seems very solidly built.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 6
As I stated above, this is a very good amp for what it does, and has tons of features at a reasonable price. If you play Teles or Strats and want a really crisp 3D sound, this is not your amp. If you are playing Ibanez, Les Paul, etc and really like to shake the walls, I would recommend for sure. I've played some Creed and dropped D power chords through it and they sounded really good.

The amp was made in 2000. It plays EVERYTHING, and with great tone. It does have just a small bit of noise on the distortion channel. It has 2 channels (clean, overdrive). You can switch the channels with a footswitch. It also has an effects loops and a headphone jack. The only thing I would like better is if I could turn on crunch mode with the footswitch. I use this amp for jamming and practice. It has an EXTREME amount of power. It's so loud it's scary.

Sound Quality : 10
Well, with my guitar (a GRX-40 with WEAK pickups), the distortion has alot of buzz, but then again I have to turn it up extremely loud to get the right sound out of it. With an RG220 it has very little buzz. It totally fits any type of music you want to play on it. I many, ANYTHING. It has great tone. The clean channel has no distortion what so ever. The distortion is GREAT.

Reliability : No Opinion
I've only had it for 3 weeks.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Like I said, only had it for 3 weeks, but there's a one year warranty on the whole amp though.

Overall Rating : 10
I've only been really playing for about 5 months (at about 7 hours a day), but I consider myself somewhat experienced with sound gear since my father and brother both own 2000$ stereos that I helped them build (we built all the cabinets ourselves), and this thing is GREAT. If it were stolen (and I'm sure there's no possible way to lose this thing, but...) I would hunt the guy down who did it with extreme hostility, hehe. I'd definately buy another one. I wouldn't mind if it had amp modeling so I could access it's wide variety of tones without fiddling around with the knobs so much, but I can get any tone I want in about a minute or less. I LOVE it.
