powerjam (orwhatever the @#$%) speakers
400 watt handling
amazing value

Sound Quality : 9
first off, ive used this cab with several different heads (5150 II, mesa/boogie trip. rectifier, krank chadwick, krank revolution 1) and a couple combo amps (peavey studio pro 110 and 112) and its a great amp. The sound is tight, and its got low end to break your balls. Actually ive been setting the treble up on 8 or 9 and it seems to even it out. its a great tone though, ive used it live and in the studio

Reliability : 7
not only do i depend on it, i own a fullstack (two cabs)and its been a major part of my tone. The tolex covering is awful though, its cheap and tears pretty easily. amazing something can sound so good and be built so cheap

Customer Support : No Opinion
i havent had to use it

Overall Rating : 10
i think its a great cabinet, matched to the right head it has an amazing sound. i play a few guitars, 2 gibson les pauls (one with emg 60,81 combo and the other with a set of 85s) and a gibson explorer with a dimebucker in the bridge and a jazz in the neck and its sounds great with all

Power Jam shithead speakers,Isolation baffle. Fake, Cheap, Crappy-assed tolex. Versatility, does'nt even matter. The speakers were supposed to be voiced for distortion. Ohm selection options, just like a marshall 4x12. I mix up different styles and, this thing is fucked up, doesnt capture the tone properly. The speakers in it blow, and do not capture the depth of a nice tube amp being run through it. It doesnt have the depth and eqaully balanced harmonics of a well built cabinet with Vintage 30's or GT75's. This thing is way too heavy, perhapse 2 times the weight of a marshall 1960A cab.

Sound Quality : 1
Over the past year I have been playing threw a semi-pimped out Epiphone LP junor, with a single '57 classic pickup with Gibson electronics, knobs, and Jack. I also had the peice of shit tuners Gutted for Grover Locking tuners. I play 90's rock, Punk, Metal and fuzz, similar to Helmet and Hum, Foo Fighters. But my main guitar Is a Gibson Les Paul Standard from 2000 in Vintage Sunburst, with the 490 series pickups. Awsome Guitar! From these guitars, I plugged into a Digitech 2120--BBE sonic maximizer---mesa 50/50...into this black and blue peice of shit. The sound I got was ok, mids were nice, bottom end wasnt that full, and the highs were so fucking harsh. When I first got the cab I thought it was alright, but when i would crank my amp with my band, the ibanez sounded like ass. A few months back I traded in my rack for A Marshall TSL head, which sounded awsome with my 1960A cab. When I plugged into the ibanez, my sound went to shit. The harshness was unbearable, and I was unable to dial this fucking shit out. I dont even want to use this cabinet for practice. It so fucking harsh, band members have complained about this shit. I cant imagine what kind of shit my audience had to put up with, hearing all of this harshness in the mix.....Overall this cab is Dull, and just degrading to my Marshall. Fuck you Ibanez.

Reliability : 2
I feel like such an asshole now because when I first baught the cab I was telling everyone what a great value they were. Not to shortly after the casters broke off, and fucked up the ply wood on the bottom. I was never again to put on any casters as the bottom was damaged. The tolex ripped off after my first show giging with it over a year ago. I would get rid of it now but, im sure I wont get shit for it now, as it is in ass condition, it just sits in my basment rotting. I have had my 1960A, which is not even the best cab on the market out last this thing by over a decade. In the tim ive had the Ibanez, it looks as though, I have had it for 2 decades. Heavy as shit, Falls to peices, and sounds like shit. Does this sound like reliablity. I mean i guess if you want to pay 300 bucks for a cab what do you want, right?

Customer Support : No Opinion
I dont care, Im embarrased to take this anywhere. No use getting this repaired. If I try ill prolly get laughed at, as this thing is so fucked up. I dont care about a warranty. As far as Im concerned I threw away 300$... I am usually a nice guy about stuff, but this is junk.

Overall Rating : 2
I am usually a fair dude, and I recomended this cab to others, as it worked well for me within the first few months of use. Seems to me, as time goes on, this thing keeps getting more and more harsh in the mid/upper mid region...If this cabinet were human, I would tell it to go fuck itself and disappear. This may make a nice present for a 14 or 15 year old for their first cab, but has no business for people who gig out, and run high tube wattage. This has no buniess in the hands of those who are tone concious. I have been playing for a decade, as I said before Ibanez designed these speakers to work well with distortion. I know they have a head to go with this, maybe that combo sounds good. But with both amp set ups I have had, the cabinet has given me some pritty shitty results in modern times. As always if someone stole a peice of my property, i would be pissed. But i would probably laugh at the person who stole this thing # 1 its extreamly heavy for a cab, # 2 this thing sounds like shit, and #3 you cant get shit for money on any kind of trade in for this. I wish this cabinet would get a life, a personality. I guess I made a mistake. I guess ibanez was targeting young teenagers when trying to sell this cab, thinking that "hey its cheap and its a 4x12 so it'll make me look like a rockstar." The bottom line is , these days you get what you pay for, the price tag and looks of it are attractive, but this thing can not uphold good sound, its construction, its casters, or even a light weight. I am rating it a 2, as it sounded good to me for close to 2 months, but I was thinking about deducting a point for bad marketing by ibanez, and the fact that they should have taken this cab off the market by now. If this cab were human, I would shit down its throat, and tell him/her to go fuck themselves.

It's a cabinet. What do you want me to say? Just about any cabinet has ohm switching on it. Big Deal!

Sound Quality : 4
It will do. It's nothing great. I play through a 5150 with not a great deal of distortion - Punk Rock. The top end is real harsh. The low end is kind of muddy. You have to be careful with your EQ. It also seems to be much more directional than any other cabinet I've owned. It makes a huge difference where you stand in front of it to hear the best sound. Haven't recorded or played out with it yet but I think that mic placement might be tricky. I think I'm gonna take the power jam speakers out and replace them with some shefields. I'll save them for my back up cabinet. By the way, does anybody else think this thing is really light? Big difference from my old 5150 caibnet.

Reliability : No Opinion
Have not had a problem but have only had it for a few months.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never tried it

Overall Rating : 5
Could be much better. But i got it real cheap and can use the cabinet to fill with better speakers.

4 Power Jam speakers, 100 watts, Stereo\Mono option, 4, 8, 16 ohms.
The speakers in this thing are total and utter garbage. This thing will not handle loud volumes for a long time. I give a five because atleast it has some regular features.

Sound Quality : 1
This thing sounds like junk. Some how ibanez took all of the worst stuff and put it into one product (must be taking tips from ART). I was forced to play two shows through it. I was running a mesa boogie triaxis through a mesa boogie strategy 500 with a bunch of other processing. I have toured with ever kind of cab, an this thing sucked. Made my dream setup sound like garbage. Ibanez makes good guitars, not cabs.

Reliability : 1
4x12 are supposed to be able to withstand the high volumes of concerts. This thing blew the second night I had it. I have owned 4x12 made by Laney, hughes and kettner, marshall, mesa, jackson, etc. and they have never blown this fast. A good cab will survive at least a couple tours. This thing died its second night out. I thing I fried everything in it. Two of the speakers were blown in both cabs (I was running a full stack of this shit) and the others were acting funny. I must of played these for about 3 hours max. These were brand new out of the box given to me as a demo. I would never endorse, use, or be caught dead standing by one of these hunks of crap. NEVER BUY ONE NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS. I spent the rest of the tour using two second hand beat to shit mesa 2x12s and they survived the rage of the strategy 500 (500 watts of tube power) for an entire two and a half months. NEVER BUY IBANEZ CABS.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know, don't care.

Overall Rating : 1
SHIT, CRAP, HUNK OF JUNK. STICK TO GUITARS IBANEZ BECAUSE THIS CAB IS ABOUT THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER USED.

I bought it new in a cardboard (summer 2003), it's a decent cab (400 watts), 4 Power Jam speakers, 100 watts (200 watts peak),Stereo\Mono option, 4,8, 16 ohms.

Sound Quality : 10
I use a Fender,Stratocaster,USA and Godin LGXT (3 voices)into JCM 2000 DSL Marshall Head into this cab. When you play rock blue style the Power Jam speakers have an incredible reponse, not too much treble, not too much bass and plenty of midrange. The tone is perfect for my style of playing.

Reliability : 10

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal whit them

Overall Rating : 10
For my overall rating , I'm going to have to give this cab a 9, for the tone and the good price.

400W RMS, 4/16 Ohm Mono- 8 Ohm Stereo Input's, S/M switch, Metall casters,4 wheels, plastic Handels, 4 Power Jam Speaker.
I Think this is everything a Cab has to have, expecialy for the Money of 320?. :D
Even the PLastik Handels are looking very strong.

Sound Quality : 9
I play it with a Ibanez SA160 and the Ibanez Tb100h Top sometimes I use a Boss GT-3 also.
I play mostly Rock and Metall but also some cleane parts.
For me the Cab is perfect, i didn't compared it with others so i can't tell you if it's better then others or not but it does sound realy great and this is the main thing for me ;)
It's very difficult to descripe the Sound of a cab but i can tell you that it gives me every sound I want to have. :)

Reliability : 10
I owned it just 1 week ago so i can only say that it didn't broke down in this short time, but it doesn't looks like as it would in the short future ;)

Customer Support : 9
I bought the the complete halfstack from Musik Schmidt in Frankfurt /M for 660? an got a 2 Year warranty. They were very freindly and i think that if i will get a prob with the cab they will fix it ;) I didn't ever dealed with Ibanez directly so i cant tell you anything about them.

Overall Rating : 10
I played e-guitar for 3 jears and only had a combo in this time. I was a Peavey Studio Pro 110 and the change to the Ibanez AMP was so incredible for me. If it wouldt not be so heavy, i would recomend everyone to use a stack instead of a combo. ;)
I also like the look of the cab and if it were lost or stolen and i would not win in a Lottary in the meantime, i defently buy another.
Lucky circumstances that it is to big to lose it and to heavy to get it stolen ;)

This angled front cab was made in 2003. Pewter colored grill cloth, MDF board, thin black tolex and 4-12 inch "Power Jam" speakers. The salesman said they're Celestion's, but I doubt it. Maybe the speakers are designed by Celestion??? It has inputs for 4 Ohm, 8 Ohm and 16 Ohm, a switch for stero or mono, crappy molded platic handles and very good metal casters. There's supposed to be some type of internal baffle to eliminate standing waves, but I haven't opend the cab up to see. It'll handle up to 400 watts with 4 Ohm impedence.

Sound Quality : 7
So far so good. The speakers are new so the tone is a bit harsh, but after they warm up they behave quite differently. I run them with a Crate GX1200H with a Digitech GNX3. The sounds are whatever I want them to be. It can get very loud. I haven't pushed it past 7 off the clean channel of the amp yet, because small animals have been flattened by the amount of sound this thing can pump out. There was quite a sonic difference between this cab and the 2x12 Celestion handmade I have right next to it. It pushes some serious air. I'll only give it a 7 now, because I've only had it for 3 days and the speakers are tight and haven't mellowed out yet.

Reliability : No Opinion
Its a cabinet for chissakes. As long as I don't set it on fire, I can't think of anything going wrong with it. It seems pretty solid and is a little heavy, but not so heavy that I can't lift it by myself. It isn't a compact 4x12 like a Crate, so its rater bulky, but I like it that way. The most I'm going to push through it is 120 watts so I don't think I'll ever hurt it.

Customer Support : 10
Bought it from Sam Ash. I can't find it anywhere else so I think it must be a special model for Sam Ash only???? I have never dealt with Ibanez, but I can speak for Sam Ash... they stand behind what they sell and I've never had any problems with them whatsoever.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing over 31 years and own a ton of gear. Nothing else I own matters too much to this review.

I wish the tolex was a bit thicker and they should have used plywood instead of the MDF. The molded platic handles are a joke too, but they do the job.

I A/B'ed it with a Marshall 1960A and I preferred the sound of the Ibanez, but that's my ears, not yours. The price difference between the Marshall, together with the sound nailed it for me.
