I have a small 1/2 watt recording amp kit by Gary Gerhart called the Gilmore Jr. I decided that a detune cabinet would give me the best overall sound for this setup and did some research. I found J design through HC here and found that his custom made cabs were more affordable than the so called boutique amp builders. It is basically a bigger box than a standard 2x10 for which you only install one 10" speaker. You can add a second 10" if you want, but I think the cab volume would be a bit too much for a tight sound and might overextend the speakers themselves.

I have a Jensen P10 reconed by Weber and absolutely love the sound. I think I'll try a Weber Blue dog next and see how that sounds.
