J Design Cabinets 410 Cabinet

I asked Jeff Earl at JDESIGNS custom build a 4x10 with Celestion Vintage 10 ( V10 ) speakers for me. He is an incredible cabinet builder. It looks and sounds awesome just like the sealed back 2x12 cab with Celestion Vintage 30's he made for me out of the same type of wood. The cabinet is closed back with one input jack. The cabinet is an 8 ohm cab made with Western White Pine and black speaker grille cloth just like the 2x12 he built for me. I have become an endorser for JDESIGN CABS and I will never use anything else. I run both cabs with an original 1965 FENDER BASSMAN ( AA165 circuitry ) 50 watt head. The tube compliment in the head is : three GE 6072a Blackplate NOS Preamp Tubes , one GE 5751 Blackplate NOS balanced triode Phase Inverter , two SVETLANA 6L6 Winged C Power Tubes. The tone , sustain , sound from the combination of the cabs , tubes , and head is amazing. I use Monster Cable Studio Pro 1000 patch and speaker cable to ensure every nuance gets to where it has to go.

I tour professionally with three bands and have been playing guitar for 20 years. It never fails that at every show I play people always come up to me and ask how do I get my sound. I just tell them buy JDESIGNS cabinets and play FENDER guitars and heads through them with great tubes and you will always have the right combination of equipment to start to develope the sound you are looking for.

I can best describe the sound from these cabinets as very detailed with woody tone and great sustain just like you would expect to hear coming from a vintage violin.

The music I play ranges from Country to Rock to Heavy Metal and these cabinets sound great for all of it. I am also endorsed by LACE MUSIC ( LACE SENSOR Guitar Pickups ) . All of my FENDER guitars have LACE SENSOR pickups in them and they sound incredible through these cabinets. Buy JDESIGN cabs. There are no equal !!! Don't waste your hard earned money on mass produced crap. There's a reason why custom guitar cabinets made by JDESIGN may cost a little more. You get what you pay for. These cabinets are well worth the price plus you can have them made with any speakers and cosmetics you want.

custom made 4x10 cab...i primarily record in my home studio...i was looking for a cabinet that would give me maximum options, primarily for use with my lower wattage class a amps...i asked jeff to construct a 4x10 cab with oval open back and 4 separate jacks on the back panel. this would allow me to mix and match speakers depending upon the amp/guitar, etc. there are a wide range of options to choose from, including wide or narrow face. i settled on a wide face, cream colored tolex, black soldano face, black hardware, recessed 'marshall' style handles, removable casters.

for use primarily with my mesa blue angel & maverick...i have 4 different speakers [jensen p10r, eminence 102, weber blue pup & 10a125]...the sound is absolutely excellent. the cabinet is tight and the detailing is crisp and solid...a total win for me!
because i am mixing and matching speakers...i was concerned about 'boominess' if i was using less than all 4 speakers...jeff assured me that this would not be a problem, and he was right! tight sound even running one speaker...

never spoke to jeff...but we communicated via email...extremely responsive...he met his delivery date...very open to sharing his cabinet experiences if you are looking for something different or even for something more traditional...and best of all - california made!

i have been playing approximately 30 years...play all styles of music...primary gear consists of fender strats with mesa boogie amps & fender amps...this cabinet is for blues/jazz sounds.
if lost or stolen i would replace...and probably buy an extra!
