New as of June 2004. Their vintage 1210 cabinet Built completely custom to my needs. One 12" Weber Blue Dog and one 10" Weber Blue Pup. 60 watts. Absolutely beautiful Pine with a natural finish. There is a custom Ponderosa Pine semi open back that is an oval shape like their standard oval back but I wanted to be able to remove the bottom part of the panel for more clean tones. (I know, you guys are like...What?) Well they split the back right down the center so I can have a more open tone. Unbelievable in beauty and quality. Built very strong with Exposed Dovetailed joints that are flawless and add great looks and strength to the cabinet. Jeff added the top baffle fascia that matches the pine on the cabinet.

Been playing for around 25 years and I play mostly blues and blues based rock and roll in a band called Road Rash. I WILL BE USING THIS CABINET LIVE. The weber blue dog and pup are top speakers in my opinion. You can hear every note sing and all of the little hand slides and mutes. The tone is perfect in clean channel and dirty channel with my Carvin strat.

Built right. I see no problems with this cabinet being used live, recording or practice. Has a warranty of two years

Here's the kicker. These guys know how to serve up what you need and want. I wasn't sure what to expect for a turnaround time but I was sure happy to see the cabinet at my door on a Saturday just about three weeks after ordering. I spoke directly to Jeff the owner/builder. Very nice indeed.

I just bought this cabinet in June. ('03)
I play mostly Blues Rock (SRV, R. Cray, etc...) and some Rock. This cab is good for tone both. I had mine built out of Pine with an oval shaped cutout open back. Really lets the tone out. The website shows some of the covering colors they have but I went with the Black "Nubby" tolex and a Black and Gold Grill. Looks sweet. The Pine wood is very clean.
As far as I can tell, it looks like it's built well and will put up with road abuse. Although I'm keeping mine in the studio for now, I'd feel secure playing live with it.

I use a Warmoth Tele loaded with Bill Lawrence pickups running into a 30 watt Matchless HC30 Head then to the Vintage 12/10 cab (loaded with 1 Celestion G12M 12 inch Greenback and a Jensen Vintage 10 inch 35 watt Alnico. The tone is perfect for my style. Very warm cleans and mids from the 10" while the 12" Celestion gets down on the low end punch. The Low E "slap" sounds fatt. I don't really use alot of distortion. Just enough to enhance the cone breakup. This cab is rated at around 70watts so no problem with handling the 30 watt amp.

No Opinion
I have had this cabinet for almost 2 months and I use it almost every day for a few hours. I've had no "farting" speaker problems or rattles. Seems to be built well but the true test will be the clubs this Fall. Oh yeah, The Pine has no Knotts!

I found J Design cabs right here on Harmony-Central. I read a few posts and called the company directly. I of course had a load of questions and Jeff took the time to answer them all. I trusted their advice that was the 12/10 and am very happy.

I've been playing 6 string guitar for about 8 years or so and B4 that played Bass. I'm a "tone snob" if you will, and I've used many other big name cabs (Carvin, Mesa, Peavey) but they never gave me exactly what I was looking for. This cab hits it.
If this cab were stolen, (who looses a guitar cabinet??) I would be on the phone 1st to the cops, then to J Design for another.
The great thing about this cab is I got to pick the grill cover, the tolex, and all the hardware colors. It's what I wanted.
Two small things to add here:
1st, I do wish it was wired to chain a 2nd cab and 2nd, I like a metal jack plate instead of ABS plastic.
