This 1x12 speaker cabinet has the upgraded Pine Option. It came loaded with 1 celestion vintage 30, 60 watts at 8 ohms. It has the removable semi-open back 2/3-1/3. The covering is black elephant tolex, with black basket grill with chrome painted baffle. Comes with top strap handle, rubber feet, and nickle protective corners.

This cab was custom built to work as a extension cab with a Crate vintage series vfx 5112. Jeff designed this cab to dimensions slightly larger than the vfx 5112. The cab sounds very nice and works extremely well with the combo amp. The closed back option is nice to have for versatility and adds bottom to the sound. Ths vintage 30 is a very good blues and rock speaker and works really well with the crate vintage series speaker. The cab sounds great with distortion setting as well as clean and everything inbetween.

The cab is only 2 months old. The quality of components used to manufacture the cab are top notch. The craftmanship is very apparent and reliability should be no problem.

Jeff Earl, the owner of JD Designs was very friendly and knowledge. He helped me decide on speaker type and other options, based on exactly what I was looking for. Im not sure about a warranty period but its not needed, the cab is built much better than mass produced cabs.

Ive been playing off and on for about 10 years. I also own a Fender Deluxe Reverb. Play mostly with a stratocaster and pedals. If the cab were lost or stolen I would definitley buy it again. I did alot of comparison shopping for this cab and nobody could match the quality, price or service. Also planning to have another cab built for the Fender in the near future.
