I have four Jenkins Sound cabinets and they are all red. I'm a 40-year player with a few credentials. These are by far the best investment one can make in speaker enclosures. Not even close. Doug Holt builds these things custom on order (in addition to the regular line) for whatevr you need. It is just wonderful to be able to get such a perfectly-executed cabinet ready for the driver of your choice. I drive mine with a Hotrod P-Bass and an Eden 550 head and the 15" driver is a huge Eminence 3"VC type. It's wonderful.

This is your basic 1 x 15" speaker cab. No frills. Jenkins cabinets are excellent. If you haven't seen these, they are worth every penny. Build quality is first rate. Every aspect is clean, neat and flawless. I bought it unloaded and installed a Jensen 15" first. It sounded really good. Then I borrowed a friends Eminence Legend 15". Wow, what a speaker. Tight, rich and loud. It just made the cabinet seem twice the size. Highly recommened in this cabinet.

I play mostly blues, but toward the heavy end (Gary Moore, SRV) I've tried it with a Fender Pro amp ('ala Stevie's vibroverb) A Rivera 55 watt head, a Univalve and a Roccaforte Custom 18. All sounded different, but also great. I really liked the Fender Pro. That amp with this cab and a strat is just plain magic!

These cabs are built like brick sh!t houses. I wouldn't worry about using them on the road. They are build to take it.

Jenkins cabs are a no-brainer. Buy it, load it and use it. They will sound better and last longer than most any other cab out there.

1999, very solid but flexible, can unscrew part of the cab in back for open-back sound, otherwise gives a punchy, full deep tone. I had a Weber 15" Chicago 80 watt speaker installed, it sound great for blues-rock and jazz, not a high-tech sound, more like early British blues-rock.

Using it with a tele and a PRS McCarty, amp is an old Traynor bassmaster with 2 EL34s, 50 watts....occasionally use a Real Tube overdrive pedal, but with a 12AU7 tube replacement (check the reviews for this on the effects board, it DOES make a difference). This cab and amp combination is a bit midrange-heavy with humbuckers but that's the old smokey, overdriven Blues-rock sound (early cream)...single coil pickups work great, more Chicago style bite.

I didn't think anyone made cabinets this solid, tight and with such great workmanship anymore. Mr. Jenkins does.

Played for 30 years, the only cab that compares is my original Traynor 1969 closed back 2-12" cab, again with the 'old-style' attention to detail. The Jenkins sounds thick and full like it, but is also significantly lighter and smaller, more portable. If stolen I would get another. These cabinets by Jenkins are keepers.

I loaded the cab with a JBL D130F speaker, though Jenkins offers the cab loaded with either Mojo or Weber speakers (additional cost). I'm using the cab with a Truck Angela amp and various guitars including Gretsch 6120, Reverend Slingshot, Tele, Strat and Heritage H575. I'm looking for big, clean sound from this cab. Immediately upon plugging in I was taken by the huge sound from this cab. I should say that I typically run the Truck head through either a Jenkins 2x12 cab loaded with a pair of EV12L's or a Jenkins 2x10 loaded with a pair of Weber C10CA's. This cab projects a fuller bass sound and resonates a rich, warm tone at all volumes.

Jenkins cabs are built using superior quality materials and expert building techniques. I've owned 2 of Doug's cabs for about a year and they are aging better than French wine. I expect this cab to do the same.

Doug and Debbie Holt are Jenkins. Need sound advice by email or phone and they will respond quickly and effectively. I've met a lot of people in the equipment business, and Doug and Debbie are two of the best.

Doug's cabs are not remakes of vintage styles, but original designs based on long hours of experimentation and testing. The results are sonically stunning and with the level of craftsmanship I honestly believe you won't find a better cabinet on the market at any price. This is my third Jenkins cab, so that should tell you something.
