My second review of a Jenkins Sound Shop product. I loved my Jenkins "Highway 61" 2x12 so much I bought a Jenkins 4x12, too. Basic straight forward operation, straight front, 8 ohm cab, and the back panel is partially removable. This gives the cab a much more open and resonant tone. Once again, Doug at Jenkins Sound Shop, loaded my 4x12 with Weber Alnico B & S speakers. The speakers were broken in at the Jenkins shop which makes a new speaker sound 40 years old. The tone from this cab is monsterous. Other 4x12 cabs tend to get "mushy" but this Jenkins cab is clear whether playing soft blues or hard rock. A very versatile amp. My guitars are a 50's Les Paul Standard, a 1999 59' Les Paul reissue, and a Scott Lentz custom S-Style. Using any of these guitars with the 74' Marshall JMP modded amp and the Jenkins 4x12 cab, the tones are pure vintage.

Just like my Jenkins "Highway 61" cab, this is a very reliable speaker cab. The construction is second to none. This cab looks larger than most 4x12's but interestingly enough, it is lighter.

As previously stated in my 2x12 review, it is absolutely best to contact Jenkins Sound Shop during the hours of operation. Doug is a one-man shop and talking on the phone keeps him from his/your work. The shop hours are clearly stated on the Jenkins Sound Shop website. Doug is very knowledgable, has been doing this a long time, and know his business. Get a cab a you will understand.

Playing Gibson Les Pauls and Strats for 22+ years. I have never heard better speaker cabs than the Jenkins Sound Shop products. I was advised by members of the Les Paul Forum to check out Jenkins. Man, were they ever right. Best cab purchases I have ever made.
