Brand new, Ceramic Magnets, Stamped Steel baskets, Paper Cones, Made in Italy. Would give a 10, but they need a cooler looking dust cap for the voice coil.

Sound Quality : 9
Put a pair of 10-50 x 8ohm in my Fender Princeton Chorus to replace the original speakers. Right away the difference in tone was apparent. The difference is for the better. Clean highs, Great mids, Tight lows, not muddy. These speakers are awesome compared to the Fender Special Designs that were in there. I play mostly blues and classic rock on several different guitars, and all my guitars sounded good with these speakers, but, they're not broken in yet so we will see if they get better or worse.

I've been playing guitar since I was 11 years old. The Princeton Chorus is my practice amp for home. I am now contemplating getting a set of these speakers to put in my gigging amps' cabinet. The companys description about the sound is right on, super clean with a bit of that british crunch, which is perfect for the blues and classic rock I play.
These Jensen Mods sound every bit as good as higher priced speakers from other companies. Can't give them a 10 because I haven't had them long enough to see what they will sound like broken in, but consider this a rave review so far.

50w-10". Ceramic magnet.

I bought these to replace the blown Mojotone MP10R speakers in my '72 Vibrolux Reverb. The amp has been blackfaced by Jeff Snider of Snider Amplification.

I don't ever push the amp to distortion. I'm after a good clean tone and use stompboxes to create distortion (Menatone King of the Britains and Howie).

The Mojo 10's, while having a nice color to the upper mids, lacked in the lower mids. I found myself running the bass on ten and boosting the bass in my pedals. This probably explains why I blew the Mojo's.

Jeff ordered a pair of eight ohm Jensen Mod 10-50'S.

I was relieved to find that they have a modest ceramic magnet. The speaker didn't weigh much more than the light Alnico Mojo 10'S. The last thing that I wanted was to add 10+ pounds of magnet weight to the amp. My back just can't do that anymore.

My first impression was that they had a noticeable bump in the lower mids. The sound felt much darker than the Mojo's. But it wasn't muddy at all. The highs are aggressive but not brassy. I'd say they gave the amp a slightly British vibe.

The old Mojo 10's could cut through any band, from what I can tell, the Jensens should do the same. However, I'm sure that quality has a great deal to do with the Vibrolux Reverb itself.

They need to be broken in and I need to spend some more time playing through them, so for now, I'll give them a 9. I might change this rating in the future. We'll see.
