Jensen 10" 10-50. The only feature that apply to a speaker are ohm rating & perhaps the bolt holes. These have eight bolt holes & available in 4, 8, 16 & 32 ohm. I give these speakers a 10 as for the wide range of voice coil impedance.

I have three applications for this speaker.

1) I built a 4x10 combo cab as the original Peavy tube amp case was damaged by the carrier. Fortunately, the amp chassis was not harmed. The cab is about 80% closed & used the Jensen 10-50.

2) Replaced the speaker in a vintage Gibson GA 15 RVT with an open back & used the simular Jensen 10-35.

3) Used an old Bogen PA amp converted to a guitar amp with a 14" x 18" closed back cab & single Jensen 10-50. The amp has a pair of 6L6GC for about 45 watts.

These are good sounding speakers in all my applications. Bass is quite good for a 10" speaker, but using four extends the bass in the larger 4x10 cab. Speakers plays 'Fender clean' at moderate volume & has excellent overdrive plus growl when cranked. The mids & highs have great definition- not dark, muddy nor too peaked in the mids (no 'ice pick' in the ears issues). It is interesting that the speakers do have a touch of English sound like Jensen advertises.

I can say this- I do not like new manufacture Jensen P10R or C10R sonics. Not a fan of the vintage 1960s Jensen P10R or C10R either. I have no idea why the Jensen MOD series sounds different, but they do in a good way.

I assume Jensen Italy has no issues.

Extensive dealer network should not be a problem.

These speakers have a discount with some vendors when bought in lots of four as shown in the price paid.

I thought about purchasing Celeston G10 Vintage, but awfully damn expensive for four speakers at $320. The Celestion Tube 10 is less expensive, but I have no useful info on that speaker. The Eminence Copper Head are also too expensive at $50 each, but has good reviews. The Jensen MOD 10-50 cost less than 50% of the Copper Head or Tube 10.

The Jensen MOD 10-50 is a super value, reasonable priced & I doubt the MOD 10-50 give up little if anything to the more expensive speakers from Celestion & Eminence. Speakers are subjective, however I do not believe one can go wrong here with the Jensen MOD 10-50.

10 inch 50 watt speaker, made in Italy. Was building a custom 4 x 10 4 ohm cabinet for bass guitar, and was looking for inexpensive 4 ohm speakers. Really difficult to find 10 inch 4 ohm speakers, so I tried these. At $27.00 each, I figured I wouldn't be out much...what a surprise!

I had been given an old Peavey Mark IV bass head. The previous owner was trying to use an 8 ohm cab with it and couldn't get any volume from it. He asked if I wanted it as he was only going to throw it away! So I built a 4 ohm cab with these speakers. Nice tight punchy definition without muddiness. Plent of volume. I then tried it for my guitar, using a Mesa Heartbreaker head, and the sound was really amazing. Tight, nice definition, excellent distortion, more highs than the cab I usually use for guitar (loaded with Eminence Legend 12's). The cones on these speakers resemble the Eminence 12's, with a band of what looks like tar around the edge that seems to make the cone a bit stiffer

Reliability : 10
Have used these now for two years without any problems running approximately 200 watts through the cab with the bass head. I was skeptical about the reliability when I first saw the speakers, they appeared to be cheaply made, but I was very, very wrong. They have taken all the punishment I could throw at them without a whimper.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never have dealt with them, haven't needed to.

Have been playing for 33 years. Have too much stuff to list here, really need to get rid of some of it (but I love all of it!). If these were lost or stolen, would definitely buy again.
