It's a speaker! Just make sure you have the correct ohm (mine is 8) and plug it in.
Alnico makes a huge difference from ceramic!

I'm just writing this review because the other one here doesn't make any justice to this speaker.
As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure that the guy got a broken one.
I'll only say two things.
1) It makes my VOX amp play in a way that I end my 'performances' as the happiest guitar player in the world.
2) Everybody is always asking me how that little amp is capable of such sounds (Tone, level and quality).

It isn't cheap, but improved the sound of my VOX tremendously.

Don't buy it!!!! Now read on if you need to. It was a 4 ohm P8R I put into an Epiphone Valve Junior Combo amp. It lasted 5 minutes and I put the other back in. I had also tried the Mod 20 Jensen with the same results, but the Mod 20 was way, way better.

This speaker is awful. Nothing smooth about it at all. Kinda like a lawnmower with the muffler loose at idle speed. Raspy and broken up in the worst way. If I could type the sound, it would be, "t, t, t, t, t," or "k, k, k, k." It was nice at lowest volume, but at half volume it was unusable. Keep in mind I only had a 5 watt tube amp.

As far as reliability, it would probably sound just as bad for a long, long time.

The only customer support I used was Jensen's tone chart which could not have been more off base. This is an ugly speaker.

I can't believe I could ever rate something at a 1. I really must. This is a piece of trash. No one had rated it yet and I bought one anyway. My loss.
