Jensen mod 12-110

This is a 12" 110 watt RMS speaker from the Jensen Mod series. It has a ceramic magnet and a 2" voice coil.

I'll give them a 10 because they sound great. In my experience, Jensens seem to be designed more for clean guitar tones, so when you play Metal like I do and prefer High Gain, the results can be different than what you might expect, however these sound great both clean and dirty. I generally prefer more aggression in the midrange (something along the lines of the sound you get with the Behringer bg412 cabs), but if you dig really REALLY scooped tones, this is your speaker. The low end is fast, unlike a V30, and the highs are really smooth but at the same time very aggressive. A big sounding speaker overall.

The first thing you need to know about this speaker is that it takes much longer to break in than an ordinary speaker. Much longer. At first they sound bad, and I mean Bad, but after many many Hours of total abuse, then they begin to sound they way they should. Other than that, these things are bullet-proof. They can handle 110 watts each. Believe me, these things won't blow unless you put to much power into them. The cones are as durable as cones get, as well, but obviously you'll want to keep your fingers and other pointy objects away. These should last as long or longer as anything else.

Guess what, I haven't needed their support, and probably never will.

Great speaker overall. Just give them lots of time to break in.
