two channels. clean and overdrive. it has a pretty good EQ set up.

clean channel is pretty good. its clear and has some punch to it.
overdrive is terrible. this is not an amp you get if youre into hard rock.
for clean id give it a 7...for overdrive a 3

i havent had any problems with it breaking down, but the overdrive/clean selector button is cheap and quickly fell off. some of the other knobs are prone to falling off aswell.

it was my first amp to buy. i bought it several years ago and i bought it for the price...and because i didnt know any better.
if you want a good cheap clean sounding amp. then this makes a pretty good practice amp.
if you want a rock amp and you dont want to fool with pedals...then dont get this thing. my roommate had a small 10" crate amp and it put out FAARRR more overdrive than the johnson.
i wouldnt buy this thing again....infact i took it to a friends house and used it as a bass amp. i just left it over there and havent seen it in months.
the best thing about having this...is telling girls that you have a 12" johnson.
