Features : 10
35 watts of pure hand-wired tube power, two kick-ass 12" Fane alnico speakers that handle 100 watts each. Volume, Bass, and Treble controls. The amp has 4 inputs, each one voiced with subtle differences in tone and sensitivity. All of this is housed neatly in a beautiful cabinet made of 100 year-old antique pine, covered in tweed and laquered just like the old Tweed Fenders from the 50's. I had my Gig Rig made without the acclaimed Kendrick Reverb feature. I give this amp a 10 in features because it is so simple it allows me to play with ease. In my experience an amp with lots of features tend to take time away from playing. If an amp actually makes me sound better and be a better player, it gets a 10. Oh yeah, it's got a very long heavy-duty power cord that I appreciate very much.

Sound Quality : 10
I had Gerald at Kendrick make a 2x12 version of the Gig Rig because I thought the standard 1x12 wouldn't sound big enough and loud enough for my obnoxious drummer. The 2x12 was actually too loud so I'm sending it back to Kendrick for the 1x12. I shopped several Victoria models before I found Kendrick. I thought I wanted a Vic Double Deluxe (I love the tone and sustain) but after trying one it wasn't loud enough and I knew my solos wouldn't cut through due to the natural "squashing" of the Deluxe's. The Gig Rig sounds very punchy and tight. It will give you a loud clean tone and if you keep turning it up, it gets very gainy and a bit louder. The lows are always tight and never flabby sounding even at high volumes. At the attack of your note is a sharp sting that will be heard in pretty much any mix. You can play softly and get beautiful clean tones, play harder and the amp gets ferocious. It can bark, snarl, squack, scream, sing, cry, rip, buzz, or do whatever you want it to. The amp sustains nicely and the pine cabinet resonates with tone. The amp responds wonderfully to your picking technique and guitars volume and tone knobs. My Strat and Tele sound great through this amp. The only effects I occasionally use are delay and compression, they both sound great. The Gig Rig is perfect for all types of rock.

Reliability : No Opinion
I've only had it a couple weeks so I can't say. Judging from the components and build quality and customer service I feel very confident that I won't have any problems with this amp.

Customer Support : 10
This is a great company. I expect great customer service when ordering hand-made stuff, but I can't say enough about how helpful and patient Gerald has been to me. He spent over an hour of total phone time with me, he told me he would build me the amp I described, and If I didn't like it I could get a full refund or exchange on a different amp that he would build me. These guys are the best I've dealt with in my 15 years of playing.

Overall Rating : 10
I've never given anything a 10 on everything. I gave my Bogner Ecstasy a 7 (and that's being generous). I'm very happy with my purchase and experience with Kendrick. I reccomend them highly.
