I am using with a mesa boogie single rectifier OR a laney GH100L with a Jackson RR5 with two JBs in it. we play metal, kinda darkest hour / between the buried and me kinda stuff. im going to review with the GH100L as it sounds better than the mesa which i am selling.
The cab handles the bass very well with little speaker distortion, you can get the speakers to distort and i really like this sound for solos, how ever for those chugga chugga palm mutes its less tight than when its at a lower volume, this is only really for recording or BIG gigs where your playing VERY loud, i dont play it that loud in 100-200 capacity venues.
The settings i run with this setup are resonance bass (full) middle (6) treble (4) and presence (6) and gain (3) drive (9). the drive is the "second channel" for more distortion but i leave this on. its brutal, very clear and articulate. really punches you and realllly cuts through. It really does sound great but i cant get a good clean sound with this amp so im swapping to the boogie. (wierd huh? youd thought it would be the other way round :S)
Right, clean - sounds REALLY good, its reaaaallly sweet, very warm, these speakers are voiced to match kochs heads but they really shine on this clean channel. they easily match my friends 1960AV (v30's)

Id gig without a backup, seems soldily built, and absouloutely no rattling parts, its all tight and solid. gets a 9 because i havent exactly toured with it so il reserve some judgement.

wicked, it really is, if you cant stand the size of a 412 then get one of these, theyr really great sounding, they do any amp justice!
i do however want to upsize so im getting a 412 1960AV, to go underneath - because you cant beat that look on stage when your heads at chest height an you feel the thunderous bass thumping you.
i give a 10 because i seemed to pick it up for so cheap

Well... it's a cabinet - very well built and nice looking - and it's got Koch speakers inside. (2x12 - 90w each). Not too heavy to move around - no ciropractor is needed. The setup is: Triaxis - TC Gmajor - VHT 2fifty2 - two Koch cabinets. One of those is modified with speakon plug instead of the original jacks. This gives the possibility to play stereo from the VHT with only one cabinet (4 ohms) or with 2 cabinets. (8 ohm)
I give it 8 only because the single cabinet stereo option is not there from the factory. Otherwise it would be 10.

Gibson Les Paul Artist (the one with the Moog stuff), Chandler stratocaster, Levin ("Swedish Gretsch"), Jackson Professional and a couple of Takamine accoustic guitars.
I Play different styles, and let me just get right down to it: These cabinets are IT!!! From the lowest volume levels to whatever the Triaxis and VHT can deliver - the sound is there. Off course the sound improves, as the volume goes up, but it would definitely require protection for the ears, if the volume was turned up so loud, that the speakers could not handle it.
Koch make their speakers to match the Koch amplifiers, but the above described combination is very good - no need to pour out the extra cash just to read the Mesa logo.
The speakers do justice to the Triaxis and the VHT.

Didn't have them for long, but my impression is, that it takes really brutal force to destroy them. A heavy weight sledgehammer maybe... :-)

I called the factory once (The Netherlands in Europe) and a very friendly male person listened patiently and answered in details to my full satisfaction.

I have played for MANY years, and if these cabs disappeared in some mysterious way - another alternative would be VHT speakers.
The development in speaker manufacturing is just as obvious as with amplifiers. Although vintage gear can sound great (I had some) the accumulated knowhow and research sometimes results in some really cool products. At least when applied with respect and consciense.
