My Rev.Jr PRO is made in July, 2009 (USA)
Two independent channels - Kleen and Krank
Wish it has a "standby" switch but it is hard to get that in anymore.
This amp having almost all the stuff same as his BigBrother (120w Rev)
all-tubes 20w mp head is loud enough for practice and band rehearsal.
5 preamp tubes - Ruby "higain" selected 12ax7ac5 (chinese made)
2 power tubes - Sovtek 5881/6L6WGC
This amp is "cathode-biased" amp, which means
you can use any kind of 5881/6L6 even 6V6 type tubes
unless you can get them inside the amp shell.

Compared with my Peavey 5150, the amp is lesser noisy
even the gain is crank all the way up.
Although the gain and tighness is just slighty lesser than 5150
as expected,
the "Sweep" control is very versatile to let it suits
all the type of metal/rock in my opinion,
Very brutal distortion from "Krank" channel and
very nice clean sound from "Kleen" channel.
I'm using a patch cable to engage the FX loop for better overall control during practice at night in my bedroom.

The band was having a terrible time finding the right small amp for the bars. We use a Mesa Boogie Mark 4 for big gigs and went through a Black Heart, Tiny Terror, Mesa DC-5, and a Peavy V50 in the house for weeks. Also went to local stores to demo Egnater Rebel, Mesa Express, and Vox Night Train. Each of these amps had some great sounds, but not "our" sound. We play fairly heavy rock with a few lighter moments, but being an overly clean picker I always seem to need more gain than the average riffer.
Been running this head through a standard Mesa Boogie Recto 2x12" cab. I feel this cab has helped keep the deep growl that some reviewers felt they were loosing through the standard Krank cab with eminence speakers. I played on it for about a week without any effects or anything just to get a feel for the tone.
I want to be sure and mention that this amp by itself is not super diverse. In fact when compared to almost all the other amps mentioned in this review the controls seemed to change the tone least on this amp. However it takes effects better than any other amp I have played. Couldn't believe how unchanged the tone was once I did add effects. You know how sometimes you start to add effects and the whole overall tone just goes to crap or takes a large dip in quality? Well this thing takes that signal and keeps it tight as can be. On top of that with such a dry clean channel (which probably isn't for anyone looking for that Fender shimmer)you can get a true sound from any OD/Distortion pedal you put in front of it.
Although I have tried just about every kind of pedal through it so far I have gone with a very minimalist set up for the gigs.
Set Up
Guitar - PRS cust 24, Prs Standard, Ibanez 7string, Gibson SG with EMG
> Crybaby Wah
> Amp
loop SEND
> MXR Carbon Copy/Delay
> MXR Micro Amp/Gain Boost (this was a big turning point huge volume boost when put in the loop for solo's or breakdowns etc)
> Boss Super Chorus
> Boss Tuner
loop RETURN
Very heavy distortion out of this amp at very low volumes which was my big struggle with the other amps. It is pretty noisy once you get it past 40% volume, but to be honest 40% volume is louder than heck. Noise out of a amp this high in gain is pretty common and to be expected. I do have and advise a Noise Gate if you run into this trouble.

So far very reliable, but I always bring a back up to any gig I actually care about. No problems or breakdowns so far. Haven't heard of anyone else having to much problems from forums yet either.

Have not had to deal with them much. I was initially upset that the amp was stated as in stock but then had to wait 9 days for it to ship, but the wait was well worth it.

For the price or a price much higher this amp is well worth it. I almost never write reviews but felt very strongly that I needed to writ this one.
Took me forever to find the Mesa Mark IV as my main amp, and now it took forever to find a great small amp. Very excited to add this to my gear list.
I have been playing in rock bands for the last 9 years or so, and playing guitar for at least 16.
If this amp was stolen/lost I would have another one within the week. Also plan to buy a back up/studio one in the next few weeks.
