I think this amp is a complete steal. I have seen it priced at $179 brand new and I got mine on E-bay for $80 and shipping. Holy crapola I love it, I recently bought my first tube amp and am thinking of getting rid of it because of this puppy. Classic Rock Rules on it, and it will also get dirty but not uncontrolable dirty. It has good response to your picking.

I use a Fender American Standard Telecaster, Samick Cobra CA2, an Italia Monza, and they all sound great. The clean is beautiful and when you use the gain you don't need much. I don't use many of the effects allthough Hall Reverb and Slapback are my favorite. I rarely use the American Preamp mode, almost always UK but that is mostly because my Samick has a nice low frequency sustain.

Playing 20 years and have gone through a lot of gear, this amp was the right gal at the right time. I had sold my Roland JC77 that I had for 15 years thinking my cranking it up days were over, but I bought a house and it has a basement and this amp is Queen of the basement right now.

Features as described in previous posts. I use this as a practice amp with my Nord Electro keyboard - clean rhythm channel, the lead/distorted is very tinny & thin, nothing like a Marshall, but good for Booker T etc.
I also play an old Epiphone LP100 through it for backing track chords & party pieces. I like the chorus, reverb & delay, although you can't modify them they are useful when you noodle around looking for a riff or two. Tremelo is just dire.

beautiful sparkling clean channel, tone controls that actually work! delivers the overdriven Hammond sounds on my Nord keyboard transparently - seems to thin out the acoustic piano a little though (although this could be my EQ settings on the keyboard)
Dirty/lead channel is a bit of a joke I'm afraid - just get a Marshall - it's far easier!
I play jazz, blues & prog rock mostly, both on guitar & keyboard. This amp is very versatile as a practice amp for both instruments & in all my styles - but at 30 watts it's not powerful enough for a main rig.
I don't run it at full power because I don't practice in an aircraft hangar, but it fills the rehearsal room nicely...

built like a brick outhouse - I've spilled coffee on it & others have poured beer on it, gets used as a footstool, thrown in the back of the car - keeps on working! But then again, it's not my main gigging amp & it gets mistreated quite a lot - probably because I know that it can stand it!
If I had to depend on it in a gig ( would look after it a lot better than I do - but it has never let me down (yet)....

no idea - did Kustom get bought by the Chinese? (most makes seem to be far-eastern these days

been playing musical instruments of one kind or another since 1971 - I have several keyboards & about 8 guitars (all cheap copies of something expensive!) as well as saxophones, flutes, harmonicas etc. Even have a didgeridoo & a set of bagpipes (although I've never tried to play them through the amp!)
I would definitely buy another one if this got stolen - brilliant VFM for anyone who isn't a lead guitarist. I'm now wondering whether to replace my big Laney rig with the Kustom 65 when the time comes

I use this amp with a line 6 variax as well as an epiphone Supernova and 69 thin line telecaster. The amp suits me perfectly. I purchased a Quad 100 DFX about 4 years ago and I liked it so much, I bought the baby brother as a practice amp. This being said, the 35 is amazingly loud and I've used it in many smaller rooms as it is lighter than the Quad which is a beast. I looked at every practice amp I could find, VOX AD 30, Marshall, Epiphone, Fender, Crate, Tech 21 etc but for the dough, none of them sounded as good (or loud) as the Kustom. It is your basic amp, two channels, one clean, one dirty and the usual spate of digital effects that seem to be available on most amps of this type. It's a totally SCR amp that sounds very warm indeed.

Had the Quad for 4 years and no troubles. I'm guessing I'll have the same luck with this amp.

never spoken to Kustom although I've been a long time admirer of their product. You just need to glance at a tuck and roll vintage amp to see how cool they were in the 60's. I still love the picture of Creedence and the wall of Kustoms behind John Fogerty on the live concert album recorded in the late 60's or early 70's. But I digress, any product that is built as well as this is should probably enjoy great backing from the manufacturer.

Been playing since the late 60's...your average rhythm guitarist that likes gear to be easy to use and reliable. There really is nothing to dislike about this amp, it's loud and has great tone plus it's not so heavy that you'll slip a disk. I'd buy another in a minute

Just got mine new, early '05- I own about 8-9 different amps, and this little guy is the best sounding amp for the bucks you'll find! I play blues, classic rock, and a little country- it does all well. 2 channels, clean and boost- and the boost channel is really usable. A lot of amps today forget to put line out jacks- I have played fairly large gigs with this amp- lined into P.A.-works great! Sounds emulates tubes well. And why not- they got one of Peavey's top amp guns to design these new amps! Good for practice and club work-plenty loud. All digital effects are good for the money, and very appreciated. I only use an old Tubescreamer with this amp- for a creamy distortion- it's all you need; and it's a fairly light amp too.

Got the US and UK settings- US= full & fat; UK= higher & mids Vox-y sound. I use a 59 Les Paul Historic on US sound only- have to back off the lows- it gets fat fast! I have a 5 piece band, we play at full, but not too loud volume and this baby rocks! No noise, full sound- even at loud volume- nice clean channel- good boost/distortion channel.I own a Marshall AVT-20- the Kustom smokes it! And for $100 less. I like full & fat distortion, but it can get nasty as well. Good 10" Celestion speaker. I play a fairly wide variety of music- blues, classic rock- oldies, this amp does all well.

I expect it to be good-the young folks won't remember, but the original 60's "Rolled and Pleated" Kustoms came with a lifetime guarantee- and a lot of them are still working! This amp seems just as well built. I always take 2 guitars and 2 amps to a gig- (you don't disappoint when you're being paid) but this one is the the main amp I'll use on stage most of the time, from now on. My dealer has good amp service- I expect no problems.

3 yr warranty-cool! If you take care of your amp- it will either croak in a month or so, or last 10+ years. I've not had problem, but I bet they'd be quick and easy to deal with.

I've been playing 30+ years, and open for concert acts; and do club work in Atlanta area. I went in to my local music store to buy a new delay pedal, and bought this instead. It's delay is good, as is the rest of the amp. I own Fender, Crate, Peavey, Tech 21 and Marshall amps, but this new Kustom will be the one I use most. I use Les Paul's and an occasional Strat- this amp does all well. If some snot nose stole it, I'd bust him with a mic stand and steal it back- it's that good! It has all the versatility you'd want- line out, headphone jack, 8 digital effects, speaker out,boost- it looks cool and it's light weight...what's not to like about it? For less than 2 cows, you'll make yourself happy. Also has a 65 watt big brother!

Made in 2004. Solid State. The features are perfect for this size amp. Preamp switch allows you to change between US(warm) and UK(brighter)sounds. 3 band equalizer(works pretty good). 2 channels-lead and rhythm. there is plenty of crunch on the lead channel. I play everything from classic(AC/DC) to current(Alter Bridge,STP,Jet) and it is awesome for every style. 8 different effects with level control for the effects. These work better than any I have had on an amp. I use this at home but this amp has plenty of power(very loud).

I use an Ibanez SZ720 and this guitar rocks on this amp. I couldn't ask for more from a practice size amp. Amp is very quiet. Clean channel stays quiet all the way up. Lead channel can get dirtier than I can even handle.

The features on this amp is really good, for home use its exellent since you can play a variety of dope sounds. It has 1 rythm (clean) and 2 lead (gain) channels wich you can switch. The power of the amp is major, you can use this amp at home and really crank it up but its also duable for a small gig, it up to you, but I mosdef think it has some power. Theres 8 EFX you can choose from such as hall reverb, spring reverb, chorous, tremolo etc. The EFX are nice and it feels way much better then the EFX I`ve had on other 15-30W amps, great sound, I use all of the feutures. The amp is versatile enough to play any kind of music, though as always with smaller amps you have to crank the volume up to get the gain goin as you want it, but this amp pulls it off really good even on a low volume.

I use a Squier Tom DeLonge Stratocaster wich is a Fender copy with 2 Duncan Humbuckers. I got really suprised when I first tried the amp, the sound is sweeet! Its a quiet amp who gives a really clean and crisp sound on the rythm (lead) channel and a powerfull, thick sound on the lead (gain). The variety is dope, play whatever you like!

For 250 US dollars its a must. I really recommend this amp for beginners and better players.

I bought this unit as a practice amp with no intentions of using if for gigging. I play mostly doom/stoner rock and classic hard rock (AC/DC).
The clean channel is bright and is perfect for country but it takes a little tweaking to get the balance set correctly. It tends to have a bright, punchy tone, which may be what you're looking for.
The dirty channel sounds great if you back off the gain a little. It really captures that classic rock tube Marshall sound. It's crunchy but not muddy and has a really good low-end from the 10" Celstian speaker.
It has 8 preset effects that are fun to play around with but they don't really compare to individual pedals. The 'hall reverb' setting is pretty cool. It does a decent job of replicating the sound of standing in an empty concert hall. The delay and phaser settings are not adjustable so you cannot alter the speed of the effect. this is pretty much worthless in my view as I like to control the length of frequency of my effects. One annoying thing is that you can still hear the effect in the background after switching off the feature. You will need to turn the level knob all the way down but even then, you will still hear a faint effect hiding in the background at high volume.
It has a number of outputs on the back; footswitch, headphones, etc., and two inputs on the front. I have only used the headphone one and it was fine if you keep the volume low.
It has plenty of power for my needs. It really cranks and I haven't turned it up to max volume out of respect for my neighbors. I use the amp in a small room and it is plenty powerful. I'm sure it has enough power to fill a small hall but you may need to mic it to cut through the drums.

I currently play it through an Agile Les Paul w/ alnico humbuckers and a home-made telecaster. They both sound great running through the amp.
I wouldn't say it was any noisier than anything else I've heard. It's pretty quiet actually. There's a little hum but nothing that is too distracting and it disappears as soon as you start playing. I think it would be fine in a recording situation.
With the 2 channels, 3 band equalizer, and 8 effects, this is a versatile amp. You can get a ton of sounds out of this little puppy and play about any kind of music you desire.
I run a Danelectro Fab Tone pedal through the clean channel for a little extra crunch sometimes and it handles it fine.
The unit really sounds clean and full, a lot bigger than you'd expect from a small wattage amp. The highs/mids/lows are blended well on the dirty channel. You get a rich texture of sound with the gain knob at about 1:00 o'clock.

I've been playing for a couple of years and this amp is fitting into my gear fine.
I'd probably replace it if it was stolen.
I compared it to similar amps and found it to be the best value. The Marshalls and Peavys I played were about the same quality for a little more cash. I think it's a great unit for the budget conscious guitarist.
Other than the effects issue (mentioned earlier) I have nothing bad to say about this unit. I recommend it.

This is basically a 2 channel 30 watt transistor amp with a celestion tube 10 speaker. It has one rhythm (clean) channel and one lead channel which features switchable US or UK style overdrive sound. Channels are footswitchable. Then there is a 24 bit DSP (also footswitchable) built into it with quite nice hall and spring reverb and a delay. Chorus, flanger and tremolo fx is also there - i don't like them, so i don't use them. The back of the amp features jacks for external speaker, line out, headphone and footswitch. So, it's all there.

My hollow-body yamaha jazz guitar with P90 pickups just sounds amazing through this amp. When playing on the clean channel, there is a nice crisp high as well as a sweet bottom end to the tone, sounds very jazzy.
The lead channel however is crappy. I prefer my ibanez tubescreamer, with the amp on the clean channel. The built-in lead channel sounds thin and just not very good. Together with the tubescreamer however, the tone is very full and vintagy. So- just go for the clean sound which is amazing.

The amp looks well built, played on almost full volume for about three hours and i didn't fail on me. So far so good.
The digital fx section however is a bit unreliable - sometimes it works when you turn on the amp, sometimes it doesn't. If you switch off the amp and turn it back on, it normally works. This is stupid, but not too bad, since you can just switch the amp on and off until it works before you start your gig.
I would depend on it , but backup as usual

I totally like the clean sound of this amp. And with an external overdrive you get an amazing range of vintage rock/beat/jazz sounds from this amp. I am very happy with it (considering its price). There is much more volume and bottom end to the sound compared to the comparably priced vox pathfinders. If you do not amplify your drummer it's even loud enough for small gigs.
