Great features: Hybrid tube/solidstate amp with 2 channels each with gain, volume, bass, mid, treble controls. Each channel has 2 additional "voice" push buttons. The rhythm channel has an Overdrive button and a button labeled Fat/Lean. The Lead channel has a Boost button and a button labeled Punch/Grind. This gives you 4 "voicings" per channel or a total of 8 "voicings" in all. This gives you a wide variety of sound qualities and lets you fine tune your overall sound. There is an additional master variable boost knob and all the effects.

Very good tone; very versatile; should suit many styles and tastes; I play fairly basic rock and pop. I've tried many guitars with it; works fine for both single and dual coil pup's.
One of the great advantages of tube amps, even single tube hybrid amps, is the ability to effect a change in the overall performance of your amp with the simple change of a $10 part. This amp comes with a typical high gain 12AX7 tube, and the gain comes on fast and furious. I tried medium gain 5751 and a low gain 12AU7 tubes as well. The lower gain tubes smooth out the gain ramp and give you a more useable, tunable gain control throughout the range. What you want here will depend on the type of room you are playing in as well as what you want out of your amp. In a large, loud room you may want all that gain, but in a small room maybe not. The 5751 is a great tube and is preferred. The mid to lower gain tubes allow you to go all the way up on the clean channel settings with no distortion and allow more control of the distortion oh the gain channel. The voicings allow for a good selection of gain/distortion qualities. The high gain tube definitly does distortion. In any case it???s a simple change to alter the amp to the room or to your taste. The lower gain tubes also make the "voicings" more distinct. One really nice aspects of this amp is how smooth and wide the arc of the EQ settings are. I have never experienced another amp with as wide and smooth EQ controls as this one. You can really dial the EQ tone you want.

I haven't abused it so it's fine. People have commented on the wimpy handle/strap. Mine ripped off too. It???s not strong enough for the weight of this amp. Put a couple cup washers under the strap end screws and that should prevent the strap from tearing off its end caps.

They were there when I called but the tech guy didn't answer my question competently.

I am an amateur but have owned several amps and many guitars. If I lost this one I might buy it again depending on the price. It has real good tone in a variety of sound styles. It isn't quite as sweet and clean as my highly modified all tube 2X12 combo but it is extremely versatile and is more fun to play.
I thought it was well worth the $350 I paid for it. I like it. I'll keep it.

This is my initial finding on this amp. I have not had a chance to gig with it yet.
2 channel tube/SS hybrid. Lead channel has 2 SS preamps, Gind and Punch, with a Gain Boost button; Rhythm channel has 3 tube preamps: Lean (clean), Fat (small amount of overdrive from the tube) and Overdrive. Footswitchable adjustble volume boost. 2-12" Celestians and LOUD! Adjustable tilt-back legs. 3 button footswitch (channel/boost/effects) sold separately, as well as the 1 button Tpa/Toggle footswitch for the effects. The effects are 24 bit and have 16 effect/effect combos. Delays and reverbs are very good, as well as the Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Octave, Tremelo and Rotary Speaker. The only one I wasn't happy with was the AutoWah. I've heard better. It has an effects loop, CD input and XLR Direct Out with Speaker Simulation. This amp is feature laden.

I use a 1997 Peavey Wolfgang Std. and it sounds awesome through it. The Leads are nice and heavy with good thump and crisp highs. You can nail the Hard Rock or NuMetal sound with it. The Gain Boost button does a nice job of pushing it over the edge. The Lean (clean) is nice and crisp, the Fat reminds you a little of Blackfaces and the Overdrive is a Classic Rock/Blues killer. The amp is quiet when it's supposed to be and as brutal as you want it.

This is my first Kustom amp. I've bought Peavey for 20+ years. The only thing I could find is that the power cord is a little loose when plugged in. I took and bent the prongs a smidge so that it will help stay plugged in. Other than that, doesn't seem to have any issues.

I've been playing 35+ in all music genres. If my initial reaction to this amp stays the same, I know I'll love it. Only time will tell. I couldn't think of anything else that it would need, except maybe a little more control of the effects, such as rate, depth, etc. It has a Level knob for wet/dry mix and some effects will toggle to different settings. I chose this amp because of the awesome deal I got on it and I think it will be a great amp.
