made in the 70s sometime...
i wanted an amp with no built in effects..personally id rather have floor effects, rather than playing with amp settings...this is one reason why i like this amp...(only built in effect is tremolo...i dont use it, but it sounds nice) spring reverb too.. i should also mention that treble also has Pull knobs(marked bright) for treble boost.
it has 2 channels. 60 watt combo...cuts through drums nicely.
also it has a NICE LONG CORD!!!!!!and wheels too
only gripe is no FX loop or headphones.
im giving 10... i know it doesnt have built in stuff, but i prefer it not to.

im using a agile hornet, and a jackson soloist sl1 with Seymour Duncan JB's(nickel)
my previous amp was a Marshall 15 watt.
VERY nice clean sounds...but with the mt-2, this thing rages. sounds just as nice as a marshall with heavy tones..when i bought the amp i was a little nervous about what it would sound like for metal. (im a lefty, no left guitars there, small store, far away, yadda yadda) anyways, i got home, plugged it in with the mt-2, and instantly it sounded good..I got that nice "big" bassy metal tone.
my favorite setting is master volume 8, channel volume around 3, metal zone level about half, so i get the nice bassy, "any louder, the windows will rattle" type sound. overall, it handles distortion VERY nicely. really impressed.
However, without pedals, i couldnt get a metal tone, let alone a slightly dirty tone!

been playing for 7 years...i own oodles of pedals, if it were stolen or lost i would buy the exact same amp or something very similar...like i said i wanted a simple straight-forward amp, id rather do the complicated stuff with stompboxes.
im guessing it weighs 70 pounds, so its heavy for its size.
NOW...i own a boss dd-5(which has 2 outputs...i put one of the outputs going to channel 1, the other to channel 2...this way i can use both channels at once...i can now use BOTH channels (volume, bass, treble etc) so its like i have 2X the sound control...it might even give out 120 watts now since both channels are being used, and its 60 watts per channel...i dont know for sure...anyway, it was an amazing find, and a great value. if you are lucky enough to find one for cheap, pick one up.

Mid-to-late '70's 60watt combo.CTS speakers.Very good "clean" sound,rather anemic "raunch" sound.Effects are an excellent tremolo and reverb.Two channels,no switching abilities.Fantastic country/jazz/pop/acoustic amp.Acceptable rock sound,but a tube-type preamp pedal is a nice addition.Good club volume.Weighs a ton!

I use it mostly for amplified-acoustic (Guild JF-4,F-112 with Lawrence sound hole p/u on both),occ. a Gibson ES-335.Works well with my acoustic-rock trio (g/b/d).Amps distortion circuitry is luke-warm at best, sounds MUCH better with a Boss Heavy Metal pedal.

Being an amplified acoustic player of over 20 years experience,I'm always looking to find the best gear to reproduce my guitars' voices. This amp works remarkably well for my purposes, although if I played electric rock,I'd use my trusty '67 Deluxe Reverb. My only gripe is that it is one heavy mother!
