This is a new amp made last year or something, the amp is pretty versatile, you can play anything exept high gain metal, it has two channels, 8 digital effects, its got decent power for.

Sound Quality : 8
Im using a Yamaha RGX612A with this amp, I play rock, blues, metal, I use my metalzone when I play metal since the dist is not quite satasfactory for metal. The clean channel does distort very easily on this amp, especially when using high gain pickups. Oh ya, this is a loud amp.

Reliability : No Opinion
The amp still works after a few months of use, which doesnt mean much I guess.

Customer Support : 3
Very slow service I emailed and phoned several time`s to ask for a replacement amp because of the clean channels distortion ( its an SS amp, its not supposed to distort)after tons of calls I finally got through and they sent me a different amp, which sounded the same but the FX effects had less power. Im pissed.

Overall Rating : 8
I have been playing for five years, if this amp was stolen I would buy something different, the thing I love about this amp is it`s tone, It`s got fabulous tone for an SS, but that clean channel distortion pisses me off, its not a problem at low volumes but it is still unexceptable

Although the fx channels are limited, I still love the regular clean and dirty channels. The gain option "more", to get a little more umph out of the distortion, is pretty cool. There is also a cool feature for the clean channel that makes the clean sound a little brighter. It's got a lot of features for the price.

Sound Quality : 8
I use a samick classic strat with a single hb and it sound great. The dirty channel doesn't sound too good without the "more" option enabled. I mostly play my own stuff. This amp's distortion channel suites Drop-D tuning well (for that Rage Against the Machine type sound). I popped the volume up pretty loud with the distortion and it sounded fine (no humming). The clean channel is good for open chords. I haven't cranked the amp TOO loud yet on the clean channel so I'm not sure if it hums but it sounds great. The fx channels go great with both channels. The fx kinda get tacky when the control is maxed.

Reliability : 9
I've only had the amp for a short time but one time I accendentally pulled the plug out while the amp was still on and when I plugged it back in, the amp didn't get loud. I strongly suggest you turning off the amp before you tune-up. :D. Other than that..so far it's hanging in there.

Customer Support : 9
It comes with a 3 year warrenty so that's good. Depending on the shop you buy it from, sometimes you'll get lucky (like me) and get a lifetime service type thing. The guy that I bought it from said out of all the ones he sold, he never had a return/any problems. So I can only rate this buy what I've heard.

Overall Rating : 9
Great amp. It's well suggested as a big practice amp and a small amp for gigs (since it gets pretty loud). I've been playing guitar for about 5yrs and before this amp I had a Samick KS10 (10 watts) and it really sucked! So I'm spoiled with this amp.

This thing is simply awesome. I think the features and such have been covered well in other reviews. Has everything you could want.

Sound Quality : 10
Okay the clean channel is great! You can get any kind of sound you want from it from country to that dark smashing pumpkins clean sound. For a solid state amp the distortion kicks ass!! Compare it to a peavey, crate, or even marshall solid state and see what I mean. I would suggest a noise gate because the distortion channel does feed back, but only at extremely high gain and high volume. Oh and run it through a 4x12 and PA!! Even without it this amp is LOUD!!!

Reliability : No Opinion
Seems solidly built. Has a three year warranty. When it was shipped the screws were loose but that's UPS's fault they don't take care of freight. Easily fixed with a screwdriver however.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know. I don't think I'll have any problems out of this amp.

Overall Rating : 10
This amp kicks ass. It's loud, has plenty of features, beautiful cleans, awesome distortion, and built in effects. I play everything from smashing pumpkins to hendrix to david allan coe. Sounds great for any style of music! Hell even an acoustic sounds good through it. Versatile eq, very versatile amp. Think of it this way: If for some odd reason you don't like the distortion (which kicks ass) or the effects (kick ass too) then you can easily buy two or three pedals with the money you saved by buying this amp! In short: BUY IT!

Made in CHINA! 2 channels. 1 rythm 1 lead. 8 digital effects. lots of junk. External speaker jack(i'll get to that later)

Sound Quality : 9
I'm using an Ibanez rg170 with a EMG select pickup in the bridge. Yes I'm one of those metal guys who just plays LOUD and only ever uses the bridge pickup. With the gain all the way and the gain boost on it's got CRUNCH!
My one complant about the rythum channel is that it seems to get distorted very easily. I'm not sure if it's juse my amp cause I talked to the guy in the store and no one else has complained before. So I just have to play alot softer on the clean channel.
Now the external jack. This is one of the reason I bought this amp. You can use the external jack to play though a 4 X 12 cabinet. Since it's got 65 watts is plenty powerful. Naturaly it's not going to sound as good as a 50 watt marshall head. But concidering it's a combo amp it works quite well when your just using it as a head.
The other thing about this amp is it's LOUD. Even when your not hooked up to a cabinet the 12 inch is loud enough to jam with a drummer and actually here it. I never expected that from a "practice" amp.

Reliability : 9
I would complety rely on this for a live show. Even with my friends crappy cabinet the pukes out I could still unhook it, crank the volume, make a few adjustments and go with one 12 inch. Also the effects are pretty useful. The echo is the most fun while the reverb sounds the best. The flanger however SUCKS ass. It's the most annoying flanger on the face of the planet. But other than that it's great.

Customer Support : 10
The local music store here rules. It's a small mom & pop shop and they don't bullshit you at all. So I know if I ever have a problem they'll jump through hoops to help me.

Overall Rating : 10
If your poor and you need a loud amp but you can't afford a marshall head and cabinet this is the way to go. Or should I say it's the way to go for METAL. I can get a good punk sound out of it too but I'm not into playing punk.

Like what everyone else say. I'm writing this review to prove to that shithead kustom hater that this amp is nothing like what he said. The features of this amp may sound like its too good to be true. It is TRUE! It is very loud. Even the knob at 1 is LOUD! For a solid-state amp, this has to be the best. Its perfect for small gigs.

Sound Quality : 9
I've tried it with a PRS Santana SE, an American Fender Strat and an Ibanez SC-420. They all sound really good with this amp. Clean channel has no noise even at high volumes. Distortion is pretty okay. Its not really brutal but I'm sure it will sound brutal with a Boss Metal Zone.

Reliability : 9
Its like a tank. Haven't gigged with it yet. But I move it around most of the time for practice and studio. Its built to last.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 9
Well everyone knows that Kustom amps in the past few years were actually "student practice amps". Let not talk about the Kustom amps used in the '60s. Now Kustom's new range of amps is ready for the pros. So what is its made in China. Its a good amp that does the job. That's all that matters. Those who can't afford a tube amp should go for this. Its a good choice. Don't just take my advice. Try it yourself. 9 out 10 people (including the ones who reviewed the 60W) can't be wrong. This kustom hater guy knows nothing about amps and tone. Why don't you go and buy yourself a Marshall or a Mesa/Boogie you stupid dick!

Sure, it has plenty of features on it but what does it matter? Every dial on it should have "+shit" next to it because that's all that happens when you try to adjust anything.

Sound Quality : 1
It sounds like shit with any guitar. I've tried a Les Paul studio gothic, a B.C. Rich NJ warlock, and even a fender strat. It's noisy as hell. The sound ranges between crap and complete crap. The cab sounds like it's made out of cardboard. The clean channel distorts when you turn it up to about 5 or 6. Oh and try turning the distortion and volume up as loud as it shows in the little instruction manual. Just try it and listen to the shitty feedback. Kustom must want you to blow the speaker out because the amp sure as hell can't handle that kind of volume.

Reliability : No Opinion
Who cares? I'm sending it back tomorrow if I can even stand looking at it that long. If not I'm tossing it out the 6th story window of my apartment.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Well if they sell this bad of a product then what is their company like?

Overall Rating : 1
Overall... hmmm if you like throwing hard earned money away then by all means get it. If someone stole this I would cry tears of joy and then laugh at the poor bastard who had to listen to this shitpile.

I play rock, blues, and even a bit of metal now and then, and this amp is great for all of them. There are two channels, and loads of features like digital effects, effects loop, line out, and cd/tape input. I only wish that It had a headphone jack. I use this amp in my room and jamming with my friends, and it has more than enough power.

Sound Quality : 9
I play a strat, and the amp suits it fine. It has tons of versatility, I have never had to fully crank the amp, so I do not know how it sounds on it's loudest volumes.

Reliability : 10
I haven't had any problems, and It looks solidly built. I think that I would gig with it without a backup, but thats probably just because I can't afford a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've had no problems with it, so no reason to contact customer support

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for a few years, and this is the second amp that I've owned, this first being a small practice amp. If this amp was stolen, I'd replace it in a heartbeat. I compared this amp to peavey, and fender amps of similar wattage.Neither had as many features, and both were much more expensive. All in all, I love the amp and is a great value.

i was absolutely amazed by the mature setings of the effects of this amp. amazed and satisfied. i used to have an original tuck and roll, Hot Rod amp, Crate Vintage club 50, and i sold all of those because this one does all there jobs better, and i am not in debt.

Sound Quality : 10
i play rock music and it rocks. i used it from everytning from Warped Tour 2001, to the local big bar shows, to practice and i couldn't ask for anything moer. the one suggestion i have for thesound quality of this amp is investing in an amp stand tha helps project, control and simplify the sound. it just cuts through better.

Reliability : 10
nothin yet.

hi haven't had any problems to report.

i couldn't recommend a better amp if you are looking for "the jack of all trades." it is versatile, has plenty of options for recording, playing live and goofin around. my only complaint is that the XLR output sucks for live sound, but i never use those anyway, they totally change the character of the amp. buy it!!

65 Watts, two independent channels, built in effects, Celestion loaded Rocket 50, shipped to my front door for 220.00 bucks. Yeah I would say this is a great amp for the money. Cd input, line out, effects loop, footswitch jack. Lot of bang for the buck...
I was looking for a cheap yet powerful practice amp for home use and this little Kustom delivers the goods.

Sound Quality : 10
Will cover various styles of playing from the Metal head to the blues and jazz guys. Clean channel rivals any of the big tube amps I have. Really warm and sweet. Gain channel is all out ballsy. Even has a boost on the gain for even more over the top distortion. Add the built in effects to it and your sound will get even bigger. You will find what you need in this amp I guarantee it. Looking forward to puttin it thru a 4x12 cab to hear its full potential.

Reliability : No Opinion
As for reliability I cannot say at this time as it is new, but will add I sure do see alot of old tuck and roll Kustoms around still. So I would say it will probably service your needs for quite sometime...

Customer Support : No Opinion
Here that Kustom is pretty reliable with their customer support. Warranty is three years.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Been playing 17 years now. Have used Marshalls, Crates, Carvin amps, and would say as far as small price tag feature packed practice amps go this is the best so far.

Loaded - This amp has two channels (each with their own low/mid/high knobs). The OD channel has a mid-boost and a gain-boost. The clean channel has a bright switch. There are jacks for effects loop, external speaker, line output, and footswitch (not included) inside the cabinet. There's also a cd/tape input jack and XLR output. Oh - and there are 8 effects with a level control. The effects include hall reverb, spring reverb, slap back, echo (more delayed), chorus, chorus/reverb, flange/reverb, and tremolo. It's pretty big, but not extremely heavy. Looks good, too. For the price I paid, awesome - for the average price, it's still a good deal.

Sound Quality : 9
Sounds pretty good. I haven't gotten it completely the way I want it yet - but so far, I like it. I play mostly blues and with a moderate amount of gain it sounds nice and smooth. And with the gain boost, it screams (I'm sure my brother will like it). The gain boost switch is cool - it's like having 3 channels (clean, slight OD, and heavy OD/distortion). On the clean side there's a bright switch which I can only describe as "jangly" - and that's with my Epi Les Paul (both humbuckers on). I didn't know an LP could sound that way. Most of the effects are really good (especially the reverbs). Absolutely NO HUM. Really a flexible amp for the price.

Reliability : No Opinion
too new to tell

Don't know how they are with refunds or repairs - but they are pretty quick at answering questions by email.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for less than a year - definitely not good enough for a 65 watt amp - but I got it for a once in a lifetime deal and couldn't let it pass me by. It cost me less than my crate gfx15. If it were stolen and I could get it for the same price, I'd buy another one in a second. At the Musician's Friend price, I'd still think really hard - I may try a few others first since I didn't shop around after I got a price quoted on this one. The sound is just a little lacking, but I'm sure the right pedal could add that extra that it's missing. If I could add anything, an additional adjustment to the effects would be nice (speed/depth). I LIKE IT!
