This amp is very versatile for the price I paid for it. It has 2 channels -Lead(Dirty) and Rythmn(Clean), an FX loop, footswitch, 8 Preset Digital EFX(which are excellent),line out, and an ext.speaker out.I wish that you could adjust different parameters of the FX, but what do you expect for #230? I use this amp for my bedroom, but I'm sure it would have enough power for a gig.

I am using this with a Jim Harley strat copy. It has singlecoils but I am planning to get SD Hotrails soon. This amp has quite a lot of hum, but this could be my pickups. It suits my music style, which is mainly music like Blink 182, No FX, Green Day and Sum 41. This amp can make a range of sounds. I havent tried the clean channel at high sound levels yet so I cant say wheather it does or not. The distortion is just right for what I play.

This hasn't broken down on me YET, but if it does I know someone at the Guitar Shop who will know how to fix it, so that's not a problem. It probably wont break down on me, as I treat all of my gear with care.

This is the second amp I have ever owned, and the best so far. If it were stolen or lost, I would definately get another. If anyone buys this amp, I would love to share amp settings. Email me with any questions to tomrogers61@another.com.

Must be a new model, they don't even have it on the company site. Designed and engineered in the states, then assembled in China. Quite a versatile little monster, kinda surprised me. I uses a Mos-Fet transistor, which are used alot in stereo amps. They're designed to simulate the tone characteristics of tubes, without the hassle of having to replace them, plus they are supposed to be very hardy when it comes to power handling. I would say you could easilly play anything from Country to Death Metal with this thing and be quite pleased with the sound. No wishes as far as features go, this thing has plenty of them. 2 Channels, each with 3 band EQ and volume. The distortion channel has gain as well, which will bring you up to a pretty solid Overdrive sound, then there is a More switch which boosts you up into the really dirty Distortion tone. The dirty channel also has a mid-boost switch which alters mids for more of a solo tone. The Clean channel substitutes the mid-boost switch with a bright switch, which of course, boosts the treble and gives the sound more bite. Then there is a switchable effect section with 8 preset effects and a Mix control. Included are Hall, Spring, and Slapback reverb, Echo, Chorus, Chorus/Reverb, Flanger/Reverb and Tremolo. All of which actually sound pretty good, I especially like the Chorus/Rev setting. As far as plugs, it has a line level input (for a CD-player, drum machine, etc,) a guitar input and an XLR output jack for PA or direct recording on the top panel. On the back it has a jack for a footswitch (1 and 2 button models available, the single switches channels, the double switches channels and turns effects on and off), a line out for running a speaker cab (which it definitly has enough power to do!) and a jack for Effect send and return. I just use it for studio stuff, but it would definitly play loud enough for a small gig. Oh yeah, it has a Celestion speaker! For the price of this amp, you'd be hard pressed to find any other with the same features and versatility.

I use all kinds of guitars through this and it sounds excellent with all of them. My style is varied, and this amp fits like a glove, lots of diffrent sounds are just a few dials away. Noise? What noise? I don't even hear the slightest hint of hum when this thing is on, the Mos-fet transistor is very quiet. The sound definition seems to hold up when you elevate the volume, I haven't been able to crank it out the roof, but around the middle the clean is still very tight and defined, nice full low end and bright, crisp highs. I like the gain-boost switch on this thing, it's like having an overdrive and distortion preamp in one Unit. The highest gain setting would definitly make any metalhead cream himself, and when you back it off a bit it's sure to please any rocker or blues man equally so. The effects, though preset, all sound good and don't add any undue noise to the mix. Once again, for the price of this amp, I doubt you'd be able to find anything better! Hell, even for twice as much, this thing is amazing.

Mmmph... here's my only worry... it's a cheap amp, assemble-by-number, that type of thing. BUT, everything inside looks solid (though the effect controller chip was jarred loose in shipping, but it was an easy fix) and the housing of the amp itself is very stable, no rattling or anything like that. The knobs all seem to be solid, so I shall only pray that it never decides to go into cardiac arrest on me! I'm not gona rate this category, it's well put together, but there's always a chance... if it breaks down I'll come back and update my review. It DOES have a 3 year warranty from the company though. The footswitch I got with it seems very sturdy, it has the cord fixed, which is kinda lame but the housing is solid metal, and both the switches latch and unlatch smoothly and securely.

Never dealt, but the people from the company I got it from were very amicable in the deal, so I'll give them a 10.

Flat out? I LOVE this amp, and it absolutely fits my musical styles. If it were lost or stolen or whatever, I would not hesitate a second to purchase another one, especially at the price they sell for! I challenge anyone to find an amp that can match this one for anywhere near the price, you'll be looking for a while! I will admit, I was skittish about buying a 'cheap' amp, sight unseen, sound unheard, but I am extremely glad I did. By the way, I have no affiliation to Kustom or the proprietor from which I bought this amp LOL, I am just one totally satisfied KUSTOMer (baaaad pun, please hit me). If you're looking for an inexpensive 1x12 combo, this thing is the way to go, hands down. By the way, the place that sells them can be found at www.wpmaxwell.com, I have seen others, but MDW is the cheapest of them.
