Solid state 100 watt 1x12 combo, 0db and -6db inputs. Two channels, clean and dirty. Input jack for a footswitch to change channels. Clean channel features high, mid, and low knobs, and volume and presence knobs. Dirty channel has gain, bass, treble, and volume. A reverb knob covers both channels. Also has input and output jacks for an effects loop, and a headphone jack. Basically, it has everything I need in an amp right now. I use it for solo practice and with my band. It has no problem getting heard over the drummer. So loud, in fact, that with the volume 1/4 of the way up I can shake stuff off my shelves. By adjusting everything you can go from playing twangy country to agressive punk to chunky metal...very versatile.

I never knew solid state could sound so good. It lacks the deep tone that gives a tube amp character, but still sounds great. I use it with a BC Rich Warlock for metal and it's perfect for that. It would probably be lacking for blues or anything with a lot of depth and emotion. You can get a wide range of tones by adjusting the knobs. There is minimal noise and distortion at higher volumes, but as you approach 10 it starts to break up. Not that you need to go that high...I can easily keep up in volume with the rest of the band at 5. The clean channel sounds similar to a tube amp at higher volumes...deep and alive. The distortion can be adjusted from almost none to REALLY fuzzy...almost too fuzzy. I keep the gain below halfway because above that the distortion is so heavy it's noisy. I ran a DOD Thrashmaster distortion pedal through the loop and it worked a little better than the on-board gain. And man it is loud.

I bought this used, and it's probably a few years old, but it's in great shape. I haven't had it long, but hey, it'd solid state, it'll last forever. I bought this amp because I was getting tired of my Crate Blue Voodoo 1x12. This Kustom is much more reliable and durable, and less fuss. To me, it's not worth the trouble for a little better tone with a tube amp. I'd probably gig without a backup.

I've been playing for two years, and I've owned a cheap Samick 10 watt amp with a 6" speaker and a Crate Blue Voodoo, and so far I like this Kustom the most. Like I said, if you play blues you might want to avoid it, but it's great for metal, punk, industrial, country and most rock. You can get everything from trebly twang to chunky riffs. If it was lost or stolen I'd probably buy one again. It's loud, has a good number of features that work well, and can get a wide range of sounds. It's great for me, but as a solid state the tone isn't quite as good as a tube amp if you want a lot of life and character in your music. But eventually people are going to realize tubes are dinosaurs. Solid state keeps getting better, and this amp is definitely a good solid state.

First off you are probably freaked on the low price for this amp. I got at a garage sale. There was a $175 deal for a 12 string acoustic and the amp. My guitar teacher wanted the 12 string and i wanted the amp. Ok. It was made in US. Solid state. The guitar has two channels, clean and dirty. A effecs loop. Two inputs. A bright button. You could use it for anything but doesn't have anything to special.

It sounds awsome for a solid state. Distortion crunches with very little feedback and the clean is very clear and nice. Although two instuments make a lot a feedback. Make your friends use there own

Ovisouly this was a great idea for the price. I would probably get a Marshall if I had to buy a amp new. Its not very versitile but I will get more effects. For the price I give it a 10! You will never find a price like this.
