I THINK that this solid state lead guitar amp was a seventies model 1x12 combo. It has two channels, 0db and -6db with a switchable boost and clean channel. It has inputs for a footswitch, effects input and output, and direct output, as well as a headphone jack (I wouldn't try it, too loud). 200w power.

My Fender Strat is my main axe (5 electric, 5 acoustic) and it is a common axe among guitarist so I will talk about the sound it gets. First of all, I replaced the speaker with an Eminence V30 clone not long ago, which improved the sound tenfold. The Strat is a versitile guitar itself, so I can get any sound I want out of this amp (I play everything except country). Usually, Kustoms tend to be noisy, but this one is relatively quiet. The only time it starts to get noisy is when the reverb is cranked past 3/4, and of course, all Kustoms can get a cool thunder effect if you punch them (lightly, don't kill it). Unless the above mentioned reverb plays into effect, the clean channel is never distorted. The boost gives a great distortion, very 70's rock, you wouldn't need an effects pedal for this.

Reliability : 10
Any Kustom will last until Jesus comes again. I luv'um, I own three Kustoms--this one, an eighties model Kustom Lead III, and an early 70's Kustom 150 2x12 tuck-and-roll combo which was my father's. It wouldnt surprise me if I bought more Kustoms in the future.

Customer Support : 10
The 70's Kustom 150 T&R which I was telling you about was issued with a lifetime guarantee (which was used once to replace a spring), its still under warranty, nuff said.

I bought this from a guy who didn't know what he had. I cant remember the price, but it was a steal. I have actually came close to buying another one identical to this one which I found at a pawn shop, but I didn't have the cash on me. I have been playing for about a decade, and I own seven different amps. This amp is my second or third favorite, depending on what kind of mood I'm in. If you find one, snatch it, a vintage guitar amp is better than a newbie any day in my opinion (excluding the new Gibson Goldtones of course, damnwhatanamp!)
